good sewer line service.
Had this slow drain in the basement for probably two months before I actually did anything about it. Kept telling myself it would clear up on its own which, obviously it did not. Reached out to Luke Sewer Rodding and they had someone available the next morning which was kind of wild for a Friday. The whole thing moved fast once the tech got there, he walked me through what he was seeing on the camera and then just got to work. Drain has been running fine since, no weird gurgling.
so our downstairs toilet started backing up randomly like every few days for a couple weeks. sometimes itd be fine for days then out of nowhere the bowl would fill almost to the rim. tried a plunger a few times and even one of those drain snakes from home depot, nothing worked for more than a day or two. finally looked up sewer companies and went with Luke Sewer Rodding. tech came out, ran a camera down the line and found a spot maybe 30 feet out where tree roots had gotten into the pipe pretty bad. like full on root mass blocking half the line. he rodded everything out and showed me the camera footage after, you could see the difference was massive. that was back in january and the toilet in Niles hasnt acted up once since then. the roots were from this big silver maple in the front yard which I always figured would cause problems eventually. they quoted me a fair number before starting and it came in right at that number so no surprises on the bill either.
Used them for backed up kitchen drain last month, the tech pulled out a clunk of hardened grease, that was genuinely disgusting, like a solid plug just sitting in the pipe, whole visits including cleanups, drain works perfect now,no smell either which was a big deal cause it had been funky for weeks.
had a backup in the basement that kept coming back every few weeks. tried a retail drain cleaner a couple times but it was just a bandaid. Luke came out and ran the camera through and found a bunch of root intrusion in the main line. they rodded everything out and cleared the roots pretty quick. that was about a month ago now and the drain has been flowing fine since. no more standing water after heavy rain either which was a bonus. glad i finally just called a real sewer company to deal with it
so our downstairs toilet started gurgling every time we ran the washing machine which was kind of alarming. looked it up online and figured it was a mainline issue but didnt want to just guess. called Luke and they got someone out the next day. the tech hooked up the camera first and showed me the screen, which was cool because you could actually see where the blockage was sitting. he rodded out the line and ran the camera again after to confirm everything was clear. whole thing maybe took an hour and a half. one thing i noticed is the tech was really careful about keeping the work area clean, laid down some plastic sheeting near the cleanout and wiped stuff down before he left. price was reasonable for what they did, no weird upcharges or anything tacked on at the end. the gurgling hasnt come back and its been about three weeks now so i think were good. solid company to call when you need sewer work done and dont want a huge production made out of it
