Delayed review , got my firepit done in this past summer (2021) . Rosie was very responsive and helpful during the entire process . They offered a reasonable timeline and was overall very happy with the end result.

Greg at Old World Brick Paving is amazing. He really knows his stuff and made sure everything went perfectly with my project. The driveway his crew paved looks incredible. Frank is friendly, hands-on, and truly cares about his work. I'm so grateful to him and Old World Brick Paving for the fantastic result!

The beauty of Old World Brick Paving’s craftsmanship is evident in every brick they laid. Our driveway has become the envy of the neighborhood, and I’m proud to tell them it's all thanks to Frank and his team at Old World Brick Paving. We even dropped a dumpster on our driveway after they installed it. It never moved an inch! Even our contractor was impressed.

Fantastic experience from scheduling the estimate to the completion of our project. Old World installed a permeable paver patio and walkway in our back yard in less than 3 days. The quality of work was exceptional and the entire team was easy and friendly to work with. 10/10 recommend.

From the moment the crew at Old World Brick Paving arrived at our home, we knew they were the real deal. After setting up an appointment Greg came out to measure our space, discuss options, and provide a quote. In short, they under promised and over delivered. We are thrilled with the 300 square feet patio they installed in our city yard. With Greg's help, we chose Rich Cliff Uni-lock Pavers with a black brick border. Greg told me the job would take 2-3 days max. The crew was professional, clean, respectful and knocked out the work in 2 days. We could have gone with another company that was slightly less, or a company that did a little bit of everything (hardscaping, landscaping, etc), but I'm happy we chose Old World Brick Paving. Zero regrets and thrilled with our new outdoor space. We highly recommend Old World Brick Paving with Zero Reservations. Bonus - Greg was extremely easy and fun to work with!

We love our new stepping stone path connecting our front and back yards! The stone blends beautifully with an already existing patio.

The team at Old World Brick Paving are an amazing group. They provided excellent service from quote to final completion of the job.
They explained the process and also provided documentation for how we should work around them while they completed the job.

We had Old World Brick Paving put in a small paver patio in the backyard of our townhouse. What used to be an unsightly mud pit has become a lovely, usable backyard space. Greg was extremely responsive, answered all of our questions, and ensured that we were 100% with our space. We would highly recommend using this company!

OWBP cleaned, re-sanded, and sealed our existing patio, walkway, and driveway edge. The pavers look great! We worked with Bill. He was very responsive and easy to work with. Not only did the crew do a great job, but they kept our property clean too. We are very happy with our patio. Would definitely recommend!

Our brick pavers at our entry were falling apart. We called a number of companies, Old World Brick Paving was the most responsive had a great price and communicated what they were doing so that we had no questions.

Before hiring Old World Paving to do our patio, we contacted five other companies. Four were strictly paving companies and one was a landscaper. One company never responded. Two said they wouldn't come to our area (even though they were both recommended by neighbors) and the other two were either too expensive or we felt not as professional as OWP. Old World Paving came out promptly to look and measure our job, left us information and samples, and came back with a quote promptly. The workers were very careful of the property, did a wonderful job, and cleaned up very nicely. We would hire them again in the future for any paving work.

We worked with Frank on our backyard patio. Frank and his team were first class, the attention to detail was fantastic and we are over the moon excited on the job they did. Highly recommend Frank and his team if you are looking for a new patio or anything brick/paving related. Thanks Frank!

We worked with Frank on a massive brick driveway. They were honest and straight forward with their pricing. There were zero cost surprises. What they said it would cost, it cost. Real bricks are not inexpensive, which makes it essential to find a company you trust with the work and feel that the final product reflects value. That’s exactly what we found with Old World Brick Paving. They clearly take pride in what they do and know the ins and outs of their craft. Communication was clear. They were always on time and completed the work in exactly the timeframe they said they would. We did not have any unfortunate incidents, but if we had, we had the sense that Frank would make good on an issue. You really can’t expect more from a company. Nowadays, that seems to be the exception with companies, but not with these folks.

They built a 350 sq ft patio in my backyard where I took out a pool. From the start to the end of the project, the team was top-notch. Highly recommended!

Too Many Price Changes, Contradicting Excuses, Ridiculous Fine Print

This review has been severely edited to fit Google’s space constraints

We wanted to replace a really old upper and lower wooden deck with composite decking and pavers. Old World Brick Paving said they could replace both. With high hopes, we couldn’t wait to enjoy the finished concept. But that excitement turned into a bitter disappointment. Before you call this company, let me warn you about our horrible experience.

‘G’ showed up for OWB along with the deck guy. It seemed to be a good meeting. We knew little about composite decking and little help was offered. We were given an outdated Timbertech book and told to let them know when we determined what we wanted. We decided what pavers we’d use that day and ‘G’ gave us a quote for them while he was here.

We called Timbertech on our own. They gave us a current book and explained some of the materials and options.

Shortly after the first visit, ‘G’ called one night to go over the paver pricing. It was a strange conversation because we already had his quote. We put it on speakerphone and took notes. He explained in exacting detail the price for materials and labor, and how much our chosen pavers would really cost. Fortunately, his new quote was only $1 per square foot more expensive than his first one. So now we had an exact quote for the paving job. Or so we thought.

Shortly after that, ‘G’ sent us an email that was more than double what he quoted on the phone for the paver project. I called him and reminded him of the dinnertime phone conversation. He acted like he didn’t remember calling us. But then he said that with the phone quote he gave us, he’d “sharpen his pencil.” But the price never again matched the phone quote.

After making our decking decisions, we called ‘G’ and his deck guy back out. When they left we were all in agreement and waited for the official quote. We told ‘G’ we wanted it quickly and have it signed before we left on vacation about 6 weeks later. That’d give them almost a month while we were gone to secure the proper permits and be ready to break ground when we got back.

His first quote had no specs for the decking, which was the most expensive part of the project. For tens of thousands of dollars, the deck specs merely said, “per our last visit.” We rejected that immediately and told him to fill in the deck specs. But it never came before we left. It took him 7 weeks to finally get us a legitimate quote. Now our preferred timeline was shot.

When we returned home we went over the quote. A few changes were needed and a few items to clarify. That’s to be expected. But then we saw that he was charging us an additional $950 for river rock that he already charged us $1000 for. When I showed him he was charging us twice, he just said that’s the price.

In the end, ‘G’ wound up giving us no less than 7 price changes in writing and various contradicting excuses. There was double charging, an add on that he already said was included, and claiming he wasn’t charging us for a line item he added a couple of lines earlier.

But as bad as the proposal process was, the fine print was absolutely ridiculous. OWB wants 2/3 of the total price before they even break ground. And then they want the final 1/3 on the last day. They specify the “last day” as the last day they use a tool, not if/when the project passes final inspection. And the late fees soon follow. NO WAY.

But there’s more. OWB also quoted to clean and reset our existing pavers to look like new again. But the fine print said that the cleaning process will likely damage anything in close proximity. Siding, fence, landscaping, etc. We were expected to sign off and accept all liability. But, for an undisclosed sum of extra money, they could put up tarping that may or may not solve the damage problems. Again, NO WAY.

So, in the end, we wasted months and still need to replace our decks. As you might have guessed, we won’t be doing business with Old World Brick Paving.

Bill was great to work with, provided a quote and went over the details of the work to be completed. The crew worked extremely hard and did an excellent job from start to finish.
