Read moreReceived a very good full house inspection. Took time to explain all the findings. Inspector was extremely courteous. Price was better than two other competitors that I called.
Well as someone on the other end of the inspection process and someone who has bought and sold 9 homes in my lifetime, I was VERY disappointed in Housemasters and Brad - the inspector. As the seller of the home, I understood he had to point the proper issues out to his client - the buyer. But there were SEVERAL items he stated as not properly working, that my realtor and I checked and as I told her - were in fine working order. And he pointed out a minutiae of trivial items that were NOT an issue, but in his overabundance - helped scare the buyer away from a really well built and cared for home. Like a crack in a $4.00 plastic temporary window well covering. But this is not the real problem I had. My problem was in his eagerness to write as much as he possibly could (possibly being paid by the word) , he left my ac turned off ( & I was out of town) on a 92% day so I came home to an 85% home. He left standing water in one of my bathrooms from something he had done. He left numerous lights on. He left my new "extra" refrigerator - which was unplugged as it isn't used - plugged in and running. He left my bar sink full of water, lights on and all curtains and blinds which were closed while I was out of town wide open. As a former commercial property inspector I know AND expect, for anyone seeing my property to leave it as it was. Its just common sense and common courtesy. But this gentleman appeared to believe his client was all that mattered. BUT LASTLY AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, he left my back door not completely closed while I had been out of town. My experience with this firm was horrible and I will share it.
Housemasters did a great job with our home inspection. Great communication, friendly to deal with and the latest technology.
Josh was wonderful. Really took the time to explain each area he inspected. My husband and I both asked tons of questions and really did stay on his heels, trying to learn about our new home. He was just so patient! The report that comes after, is very detailed and really informative. I love the fact the inspection report stays online on housemaster website (the cloud). It will allow us to update our home and any improvements we make throughout the years. I would suggest a better secretary whom answers the phone. Not informative at all. I felt like she did not answer certain questions (perhaps she did not know, or was pre-occupied). However first impressions are everything and I truly almost went somewhere else, because of her. However, I loved the reviews I read, the website was informative too. Referrals will come, but again....a helpful first communication point.....is very important!
My clients who have worked with this company in the past have been satisfied with the work done and the reports provided. As a Realtor I like the the reports or clear and factual. My only recommendation for improvement would be to add a more personal touch from scheduling through report follow up. While I'm pleased with knowing my clients are satisfied with the work being done, as an agent, I'd like the opportunity to know have more personal interaction with your inspection admins and team so I know how to direct any follow up needs after inspection. Overall, good experience.
Andrey is as knowledgeable and professional as they come. He has inspected nearly a dozen properties for me and his reports are thorough with many photos and videos to refer to. A quality home inspection is vital when planning to purchase any property. On two occasions Andrey discovered latent issues that helped me avoid buying a money pit!
