Reviews of local pros in Stickney, Illinois

Hannah did my water service line replacement. Very satisfactory work, excellent price, and top notch customer service in regards to the workmen. I was apprised of all working aspects in a timely manner as the job progressed. Highly recommended.

I am loyal to Greg Hannah ever since they helped out when the city crushed the sewer and flooded my basement. I’ve lived here 5 years and have had them out a few times. I am always blown away by their kindness and efficiency. They also stand by their work and will correct any issues.

Wow, I cannot say enough good about this place. After realizing my water heater had an internal leak that would require total replacement, I asked neighbors for recommendations and called three places. Greg Hannah had the best price and was able to come out in less than 30 minutes. A team of two, Ed and Justin, were absolute pros who, frankly, worked their m- f- butts off to replace and repair everything necessary. My heater is in a very tight and awkward space, and they were able to work with everything. They were friendly, efficient, transparent, knowledgeable and took care of the problem, and more. I would definitely recommend, and would use their services again!

I have worked with Hannah for several years now. I first met them when they were called in at the condo I used to own. They did such a good job, I started using them whenever I needed some plumbing work done.
They are always professional, clean, efficient, on time and do a great job too. Their prices are reasonable. They are easily available and they understand what is needed and do the job well. I cannot recommend them enough. -
Right before the big torrential rains hit this summer, I discovered my sewer line was broken and already full of water. Luckily i had insurance. Greg Hannah gave me the most reasonable quote when compared with another big name local plumber so i went with Greg Hannah! Luckily the quote fit within the amount my insurance would cover for the work. Nothing ever happens as fast as ideal but Greg Hannah secured the permits and got to the work as soon as they were able. The work took a few days since my line was deep under the street, but they got down there and did the repairs, taking lots of pictures as well that I could provide to my insurance. Greg Hannah's crew are punctual and hard-working! Thanks for everything :)

Never use these guys. they are scam artists. Tried to get me to sign up for major sewer repairs when all i needed was my sewer rodded. They were back three times over four days and it still was not flowing (sewer). Another company (Permidt Plumbing) came out and rodded and camera in four hours. stay away!

They guys are horrible. We made an appointment for the day after thanksgiving two weeks out. The weather was cold, the plumber shows up with a pair of pants and hoodie. It took them 6 hours to do a sewer cleanout from the main line because they had to go in the truck to keep warming up. I offering them coffee, and warm food. But what the heck you work outside come prepared. We never had any of the clean out stuff in the garbage can. So they most likely punched a hole for the water to get by and now 6 weeks later I have the same issue so I called them back and the owner books the appointment and tells me I have to pay after the $375 because they don't offer any type of gurantee. WTH! The previous company offered a 90 day gurantee, now I understand why those guys quit this company. Told them good bye. Called a new company and they completed the task correctly. Your loss.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This review is in regards to the front staff, lack of communication and organization and length of time of our home project.
(It should be noted, I would give 5 stars to the workers on the project. Omar was AMAZING, none of our review has to do with Omar or his work.)
At the beginning of March, we called Greg Hannah Plumbing as we were having significant plumbing issues at our house and needed an emergency pump out of our backup basin. To make a long story short, we needed parts of our pipe REPAIRED AND REPLACED. We had to use our water sparingly (i.e. NO dishwasher, NO washer, short showers and flushing toilet as little as possible.) While getting the quote, we decided to add the flood mitigation onto our the project.
They did not start our PLUMPING repair until April (4 weeks later) after we had to call MULTIPLE times asking when the repairs would be started. We were told it would be 9 weeks because they only had us down for the flood mitigation and not the REPAIRS and replacement. Thankfully once they realized their error and a down payment was made, we had the repairs project started 2 weeks later... only for it to take another 5-6 weeks for it to be completed.
We received ZERO communication from the office. We only got answers when we had to call multiple times for updates. (Just this past Wednesday 2 workers came to our house to finalize something on the project and when I asked why they were at my house, they immediately asked, "No one called you!? We were told someone from the front office talked to you and told you we were coming." We received no such phone call.) When we called the office, we were met with rude, disrespectful tone and answers with no understanding or empathy. There is clearly no communication amongst the staff and projects as we were given answers such as, "I don't know what you're referring to." Maybe look at our file or account!?!?! We were also given incorrect dates of when inspections would be taking place.
BUT once it came time for payment and sending out the invoice, all of a sudden, the office staff was super quick reach out to us. So much so today we received our last and final inspection, only to have Greg Hannah himself come to our house an hour later asking for our final payment. (We had written in email our final payment would be provided to them when the project was COMPLETE, not when it was still incomplete.) Have no fear, the final payment will be made.
We will NOT be using them ever again. If you do choose to use them, I highly encourage you to have everything in email so you have evidence of their answers (or lack of answers.) Also know that when you get the quote/invoice, it says there is an option for a payment plan...there is not. So some false advertisement literally in their invoice email. -
Tony just left and couldn't have been better with whom to work. He diagnosed the problem, gave me the estimate, went to get what he needed, installed the product, and was gone in an hour and a half. At the end, he gave me a senior discount and explained the best way to pay to avoid a credit card charge. Thank you for your service.

Would not recommend. Blaming aftermarket parts that they installed is not compatible with my facet.
Just called another plumber and this is what they said
The washers looked kinda bad already most likely due to rough surfaces on the seats, so I resurfaced the seats replaced the washers and greased up the stems and the packings. So far so good, but let me know if you have any issues. Thanks! -
Fast and professional service! They came out promptly and were very professional and did a great job!

Anthony and Jerry came out to check on my sump pump. They were friendly, efficient, and the work was done at a very fair price. I'm very happy with them and will be continuing to give them my business.

The WORST, spent $8,000 last year with a cleanout system to overflow sewage twice after. They are rude, never communicate, 3 day job took 10 and 1 yr later still overflowing. Do not use, see you in court Greg, I was as patient as I could be with you.
These pix are AFTER 8k spent with Greg Hannah Plumbing, who could possibly hire them again after seeing this. -
This company will rob you if you are not knowledgeable. I called for a clog from the bathroom to the pit in the laundry room (about 4 feet). They tried telling me I need a new pump for about $1200. I told them the pump was just replaced and has a warranty. They then switched and said I need the line rodded for $450 and they would have to pull the toilet. I told them another plumber said you can go from the pit so you don't have to pull the toilet. They said it would save money doing it that way. They did it that way, took about 10 minutes, still charges $450.
Then they said the toilet wouldn't fill and all the mechanisms in the toilet are shot. I need to replace the entire toilet for about $600 to $700. The toilet was working before they got there so I didn't believe them. I checked on YouTube, it was just debris in the line and takes 2 minutes to correct with no tools needed to do the job.
I called the owner to let him know that they kept trying to trick me into spending more money. He talked over me the entire time, basically called me a liar, and said ABC plumbing does that, not us. I guess he brought them up because they are known to be reputable. Also, they never left a work order (probably so there's no evidence). If you don't already have knowledge about how your plumbing works, DON'T CALL THEM! They will trick you into spending over $1000 for unnecessary work and act like they gave you a discount. CROOKS. -
Great experience — techs were professional and knowledgeable — everything they did was explained and I was given tips on how to care for my sink disposal — would highly recommend —

Artie was awesome. He diagnosed and fixed my ejector pump very quickly.

Needed a utility sink replaced. Customer service is helpful, friendly, and professional. Michael the technician did a great job and on a timely manner. I recommend this company.
-
Mike and Jason did a fantastic job for us. I highly recommend them as plumbers. They are experts
-
Omar and Alex were great! Super communicative, on time and explained everything in detail. Highly recommend
-
Great service. Arrived earlier than I expected. Toilet wasn’t working. Mike just made adjustments rather than installing new parts which I thought I would need. I will always call them for plumbing needs.

Michael did an amazing job replacing our water heater. He answered all the questions I had and made sure everything worked afterwards.
