The Voda team recently did an air duct cleaning for my home, and they were outstanding. Josh and Luis were on time, professional, and treated our space with great care. They walked me through the process in detail beforehand, and provided a thorough overview of the work with before and after photos when they were finished. All around, highly recommend!

Beautiful, solid, and well-crafted cedar deck from Sebastian’s team. Our deck was done summer 2025, and we did a clear stain (last 3 pix) fall 2025. I’m even more pleased with our deck all these months later. Design process with Sebastian was great; I had lots of pix and ideas, and his feedback and input were spot on. Pricing based on 5 other quotes I received was very competitive. Highly recommend this business!

This is our first winter with Western Lakes. We are more than pleased! Our driveway and walkways were cleared of snow and ice in a timely fashion!

I had a problem with my grass it’s just kept dying and I called a few landscapers and they just kept telling me they would spread fertilizer on it but then I came across western lake outdoors and the owner Sebastian came out the same day and he took a soil sample and told me what chemicals I needed to revive my grass, he also checked the thatch and soil compaction which the other companies did not do... 6 weeks later the dead’s spots started to grow small green strands of grass and then boom 3 months later my grass was looking great

I currently live in Hanover Park, and was looking to improve my backyard with a new fire pit bigger than normal . There’s a lot of people doing landscaping around here but finding someone who has a niche for what they do is hard to find . So a buddy of mine suggested these guys. I was kinda iffy at first, considering I already have a company to help with my backyard. So I decided to give them a chance. I explained to Sebastian exactly what I wanted, and he gave different options and his opinion on certain things. Man was I happy I listened, he knows exactly what’s he’s doing and it came out WAY better than I expected. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone, hands down. I had a pleasant experience and will definitely continue using them for anything!

Review for Western Lakes Outdoors, LLC and Owner Sebastian Blanco

I hired Western Lakes Outdoors, LLC, owned by Sebastian Blanco, to rebuild my deck. While the overall craftsmanship of the deck was satisfactory and the price was reasonable, my experience with the crew and the company was very disappointing.

The work crew behaved unprofessionally throughout the project. They smoked on my property without permission, used a barbecue grill to cook food and left dirty cookware behind, which could attract rodents. They also played loud music, disturbing my neighbors.

More concerning, the crew disconnected and incorrectly reconnected both the gas lines and electrical wiring for my whole-house generator — without my knowledge or approval. This caused two gas leaks, blew the fuse in my generator’s transfer switch, and killed the battery. When I brought these serious issues to the attention of the owner, Sebastian Blanco, he initially denied responsibility. Only after I mentioned potential legal action did he acknowledge the situation.

Ultimately, I had to hire a certified plumber and electrician to repair the damage caused by their negligence.

Although the finished deck looks decent and was priced fairly, the lack of professionalism, unsafe work practices, and poor customer service make it impossible for me to recommend Western Lakes Outdoors, LLC or its owner, Sebastian Blanco. My overall experience was poor, and I would strongly advise future customers to proceed with caution.

We had Sebastian build a composite deck for us this past fall, and we couldn't be happier with the results. He was incredibly patient throughout the process, answering all of our questions and explaining everything clearly. The craftsmanship is excellent, and the deck has become the highlight of our backyard. If you're looking for a knowledgeable, reliable contractor, we highly recommend them!

Deck Lab did an outstanding job replacing our deck. Sebastian, the owner, was fantastic to work with from start to finish and extremely helpful, patient, and knowledgeable throughout the entire process. He took the time to walk us through options, made thoughtful suggestions that genuinely improved the final design, and never made us feel rushed or pressured. During the build he was on site often to make sure the details were right. His crew was professional. The job was done very quickly, and the results are beautiful. I'd give 6 stars if I could.
