Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this company. We were simply looking for basic landscaping — mulch and seven bushes — but instead they pushed a full design plan that would have cost hundreds of dollars. At no point did they offer to come out and look at the project; instead, Ed told me, “we are not the right fit for you.” They may be a good fit if you want a more involved design, but if you’re just looking for simple services, be aware. Buyer beware: this company requires a design fee. We’re glad we went with a reputable company in Naperville instead.

We hired Red Oaks to aerate our lawn. We were extremely pleased in how Chris listened to our needs. Worked with Julie surveyors to meet our needs and theirs and the completion of the job. I would hire them again for other landscaping needs.

I had a number of different small things I needed but I also had multiple companies not show, or decline the work.

Chris was quick to come out, quick to schedule and all the areas look amazing now.

Red Oaks is the contractor used by my townhome HOA so when it was time for my patio to be updated (routine maintenance for patio bricks) and plants to be removed, transplanted and a such, they were my first and only call.

Everyone was very responsive, work was done timely and with the utmost care. They even called to let me know my garage was inadvertently left open one morning when I was at work!

The patio job ended up to be more than originally thought, due to years of neglect by a prior owner. Red Oaks pointed out the issue, gave me very reasonable a new proposal & quote, and completed all work with no hassle or "hard sell". Their staff are friendly and professional, know what they're doing, and my outdoor space looks fabulous!

I highly recommend Red Oaks! Local, family-owned/operated, and all professionals!

Red Oaks does not have qualified Staff! They now too fast and damage our turf by spinning tightly. They are supposed to weed the flower beds and put down weed control and they do not. They let weeds grow to six foot tall in one flower bed before weeding it. They charge us for six men and provide only three. I would definitely not hire Red Oaks to do your landscaping. A lot of talk but no action.

I did some research in the late fall of 2025 seeking out someone to assist me with my yard in preparing it for a sale. I’m speaking with Chris I found him to be very resourceful in all of the area of my nearly acre of land and what he and his team could do for me. The difference he made was night and day and my yard looked wonderful! I would encourage to reach out to Chris to discuss your needs for an estimate. He listened to my thoughts and providing clear ideas and feedback on future maintenance and completed the job perfectly.

Chris and Ed Gomez, along with their teams, have been doing a fantastic job taking care of our townhome property for the last three years. Their attention to detail is excellent, and we've been able to work through any issues quickly and efficiently. They actively develop ideas (including serving margaritas at our summer party) to improve the beauty of our property, and I look forward to further developing our partnership in the coming years!

I had a great conversation with Chris. He gave me multiple options on how to redo my patio in the backyard. After coming to an agreement on price and date to redo my patio, he was able to do it in a very timely manner and very professional. Would highly recommend Red Oaks for other customers down the road.

Chris and his team were fantastic. He was thorough, super kind, great with all members of the family (the kids love mulch), and very knowledgeable.

They did a great spring cleanup of both of our yards, removing unwanted plants and weeds, edged our flowerbeds and mulched our yard in a few hours. Great communication, cleaned up after and went above and beyond for some last minute plan changes.

Fall 2023 had an in ground pool installed and realized we would need our whole yard restored. And at the same time (this spring 2024) also had contractors putting in both a pavilion and wire/cedar fence. Struggled with finding the right landscaping company. We asked our pool installer (who by the way did an excellent job also) what landscapers they felt complimented their pools the best. They suggested JG Landscape as one of the most professional and cleanest in their work. Couldn’t have been more right. We offered up our thoughts and they came back to us with designs. They installed hardscape around/under the pavilion and pool. Installed a stream water feature and multiple plants. Rock gardens and mulch. Unilock walkway entrance to our home. They did this in a timely fashion and were able to work their schedule around our other projects. Not a regret in the world going with this company (Juan and Gabriel owners). The owners and their crew were “no non-sense” hard workers making sure they were dedicated to making their client (us) 100% happy with their work. You could see/feel the pride they took in our landscape project. Nothing but compliments from our friends on our newly found “resort”. Lucky and glad we found JG Landscaping.
