We had an unexpected death in our family, and our family was gathering at my home to grieve and celebrate the loved one’s life. However, during the middle of the summer months on that sad day, the AC unit on my first level stopped working.

Appel dispatched Jeff to my home where he was discreet and quick with the repair. He shared a touching story about a loved one he had lost… and it just melted my heart that there are such good people out there still. Jeff went above and beyond… he made me a lifetime customer of Appel.

They explained everything very thoroughly and were able to install a new hvac system in just a few days. They did a nice job of cleaning up after they finished. Other companies weren’t able to give us a bid for several weeks. I think their cost was fair.

Tyler came out today and he was awesome to work with. This is a fantastic company. My daughter had a problem with her air conditioner. Another company was going to charge her a lot of money for a new system. Appel came out and said was just a fuse. She saved thousands of dollars because this company is honest. I will be sticking with them. It's hard to find a company you can trust, who knows what they are doing, and have employees that are wonderful people.

Appel has been great! They had originally put my HVAC in around 2001. It just gave out this year. I had spoke to several different companies but they were the most honest and decently priced. The owner had been nothing but helpful during this whole process! Highly recommend using if you need anything HVAC related!

Offseason A/C check went well. No issues were found. Matt did a thorough job checking everything and made sure the A/C system was operating correctly.

There is nothing better than being the recipient of excellent customer service, especially when you have a major problem that needs to be resolved. Humidity levels in our finished basement continued to creep up and portable Honeywell dehumidifiers were just simply not up for the task. I contacted 5 different companies, including AirTron, Williams Comfort Air, Chapman Heating and Cooling, One Hour Heating and Cooling, and Appel Heating and Air Conditioning. When I met with each, I told all five that I wanted to accomplish three things: 1) discuss my humidity problem in detail, 2) learn about the strategy they would deploy to solve the issue, and 3) briefly discuss pricing. When I called Appel, I immediately knew I was in good hands. The gentleman who answered listened, cared, and worked the schedule to have owner, Scott Appel, visit our home later that day. Scott was great and took a lot of time to learn about my problem, walk the basement, and design a long term solution to fix the problem. The installation crew of Fernando and Isaac are two of the best in the business and completed the install in a timely manner. They communicated perfectly, took extra measures to not damage any of our new home (see photo of protective covering they placed around our home to protect the new carpet), and did a perfect job installing our new Apriaire E100 Dehumidifier. We could not be happier and highly recommend Scott, Fernando, Isaac, and their entire team should anyone be in need of heating or air conditioning needs. Scott runs a tight ship and demands attention to detail and perfection from his team. He even personally inspected the work to be sure it met the highest of standards. Special thank you to Appel Heating and Air Conditioning for a job extremely well done. You have a customer for life and we will forever be grateful.

Appel Heating & Air Conditioning recently installed a new system in our attic, and we had a great experience from start to finish. The team was friendly, professional, and worked efficiently. Their pricing was competitive, and the entire process was smooth and stress-free. We’re very happy with the outcome and would recommend them.

I had Appel out for the first time on December 31st and found out I had a Freon leak. The previous company I used was difficult to get a hold of and didn’t like when I asked too many questions. 😉
Otis was outstanding and so kind and professional and explained everything to me. He is first rate. And the staff at the office are excellent and friendly too! I have recommended them to a couple of my neighbors already.

My Appel Representative called in advance of arriving and was timely. He was very polite and professional. We discussed my furnace filters and that I need to shop online since I could not find them at the local hardware store. He wore booties in my home to view the thermostat. I informed him that I had replaced the thermostat batteries. I signed the computer and he was on his way!

I have been doing business with appel for over 8 years. First was a new furnace that was installed and has since perfomed flawlessly . It was an easy decision for me to have a new high efficiency ac unit installed. Scott , the owner of the company, came to my house ,explained my options and made the sale. Appel has been our HVAC service provider since we purchased the house many years ago and they also provided service for the prior homeowner. Their service techs are amazing - especially Joe - who has typically been the tech who handles our seasonal service visits (a great preventive maintenance plan). He's always professional, thorough, friendly and upbeat - even on rainy days when he's had to get our system working again by removing dead animals that shorted out out system after they crawled into our furnace and outside AC compressor. All the employees are experts at keeping our system running year round at a reasonable cost.

We had a fantastic experience with Appel. Our AC and furnace were both 25+ years old...needless to say, it was time to replace.

Scott, the owner, came out to our home for the estimate and couldn't have been more insightful. After comparing Appel to the 3 other quotes we received, we decided to give them our business. Not only did they end up being the least expensive option (after rebates and some discounts), but the level of service and attention to detail exceeded our expectations.

The install went smoothly and we're very happy with the results.

What set Appel apart from the competition?

- Ease of communication: I had many questions along the way and Scott was available to answer all of them over the phone. It was a relatively tricky install as the space that houses our indoor unit is tight, and the line set runs underneath the slab out to the back. That presented some unique challenges; Scott's plan made us feel comfortable and way less concerned about any potential issues.

- Price and transparency: Two of the quotes we received from other companies came in over $1,200 more than Appel's for essentially the same equipment. One was nearly $4,000 more...guess they needed to pad that marketing budget.

- Quality: We had Ruud equipment installed. About a month after the job was complete, Lance came out to our home for a quality inspection. He made sure the system was running well and answered all of our additional questions.

I can't recommend Appel highly enough. Otis is a wizard at troubleshooting and fine-tuning an AC system, and Jeff in sales was great to work with. They were professional, thorough, and they really solved my issue while saving me a ton of money in the process. I trust them with all of my future HVAC service needs and you should too.

Service was very timely and showed up when they said they would. The service tech did a great job and getting us back up and running. I was just a little shell shocked with the price for the service. I think I would still call them back if I needed more service.
