I appreciate how the Mosquito Defense tech does his job. Although I don’t go out much at night (I’m a smorgasbord for these critters) the application helps defend against Mites, fleas and ticks too. Thank you!

We agreed to 3 treatments on my front lawn. First time went fine. Second time they sprayed down my backyard, left my gate open, knocked over a $75 appliance. My dog escaped.Third time they pulled up, looked around and left.
We agreed to 3 treatments, I received 1 and they signed me up for a renewal service which was something I did not agree to. I've called customer service twice to get verification that our service has been terminated and haven't received a thing. This isn't a bad experience, it's fraud.

Apparently I just found out that Trugreen bought Unique lawn care. Or at least their weed business. I only realized this after receiving a past due notice when I didn’t even realize that they came. As you can see from the photos. This is what my lawn looks like after the switch from Unique to Trugreen. Either no-one has been showing up, and they have just been billing me. Or whatever product Trugreen is using is complete garbage. The photos kind of speak for themselves. My lawn has looked like this the since the spring when they apparently took over.

I also attempted to call and figure out what was going on, and got a voicemail. So, customer service is also very lacking.

The technician arrived and while talking to him, I was informed that his order was to aerate and seed only the front yard. I stated that my whole yard, front, sides, and back were to be treated. If I had not spoken to him, I would have been extremely disappointed in the service!

The Trugreen specialist came and did the aeration and seed in for our lawn. We were unable to greet him personally at the door but we could see the time he took with our lawn.

I am very pleased with Glenn the TruGreen tech. He came to my front door and let me know.He was here and if I had any concerns. Made sure he knew to do the two strips of lawn out to the mailbox.The side yard, the backyard and my side front yard. He was very pleasant and I'd like to have him every time I get my lawn treated.

Their technicians are careless about where to spray. Can only get ahold of customer service who don’t actually know anything to help. Requested a manager call us back. Nothing for over a week now and multiple times we called back. Our bugs, crabgrass and weeds have never been worse in all the years we have lived here. The grass has less dandelions but everything and I mean everything just migrated to between every crack in and around the house, driveway, fencing, and flower beds. Their resolution to our multi-level complaint was to send someone out to our house unannounced at 7am to ring the doorbell with our 3 sleeping kids and 2 dogs then proceed to just spray the driveway for less than 3 mins and leave without talking to anyone or leaving a notice of them spraying. Avoid at all cost. Cancelling this TODAY! Sorry we didn’t do it sooner.

The audacity of the technician to start spraying the yard while I was actively mowing it was CRAZY. Please do not use Trugreen. They suck.

My experience with TruGreen has been terrible from start to finish. Communication is poor, and there’s no clear structure for dealing with the company. Service visits were irregular, and when they did show up, the work was often left incomplete.

A salesperson misled me into purchasing a shrub service I didn’t need, and I had to call to cancel. When processing my cancellation, I specifically told the representative that my credit card on file was closed and to issue my refund as a check. They ignored this and refunded the closed card anyway. Later, another representative called me—extremely rude—and told me I now had to contact my bank to reject the payment so they could issue a check, refusing to admit their mistake.

This kind of unprofessionalism is exactly what you can expect if you hire TruGreen. I have since switched to Lawn Pride, and the difference is huge—prompt, professional, and reliable service.

Deonte was very courteous, friendly and kind. He applied Fall fertilizer to my lawn. He assessed some problem areas of my lawn and offered to report back to the office that there are a few areas that were not fully aerated and seeded 2 weeks ago when that service was completed. Thanks, Deonte.

Very disappointed with TruGreen. They took advantage of my mother who has dementia. They had her on every monthly plan and service they offered. She was paying monthly for them to spray her trees in her yard. She doesn't have one tree in her yard!! When I called to cancel the services, the receptionist on the phone had never heard of 2 of the services my mom was paying for. My mom did receive a check for over a thousand dollars...due to them overcharging her for several months. She was paying anywhere from $400 to $900 a month. Absolutely sickening!!!

Tru green has been taking care of my lawn for years and it has improved into a lush thick moreen lawn. The servicemen are knowledgeable and take the time to answer my concerns and questions. I have been more than pleased with their service. I recommend Tru green for your lawn care. They have also cared for my shrubs and trees.

My specialist Billie Balfour was the Best! He listened to me and helped me and followed through with all my concerns. Thanks TruGreen, He’s a Keeper!

Pros: Dylan visited and knocked on the door. He explained what he was going to do. Very friendly and got right to work. I’ve had two different guys over the years and both were/are knowledgeable and willing to talk to me about my yard without upselling. Price point is great. Service tickets are thorough.

Cons: Get ready to block phone numbers (I screen out non-contact numbers anyways) as TruGreen will call relentlessly about everything and anything. Even when telling them not to call me anymore, they call. Even after putting in for quote online, I had phone calls and texts from TruGreen in under 5 minutes. It really is almost unbelievable. Large corporate model with messy oversight on these things.

Edit: on this review they responded and said to email their support team to take my number off their call list. Calls from TruGreen have stopped.

Ryan from Tru Green was awesome. He took time to walk through my entire yard and helped me identify issues and was able to quickly come up with the right solutions. We are really pleased with the services they provide!

Daniel did a great job explaining the fungus that is currently affecting my lawn in certain spots and how it will eventually go away. I appreciated the visit and explanation. He had shown me an on line picture of a blade of grass which was exactly like the blade he’d plucked from my yard.
He printed off the service summary and provided it to me.
