Petermans installed a new State water heater about a year ago. The past couple of weeks the hot water has not been consistent. Some mornings it is scalding hot, but other times there is not much hot water. There was an ad for a hot water heater tune up by another company, so I had them do a tune up. I explained what was going on to the plumber and he checked things out. It turned out that the gas valve was not turning off and it was heating the water constantly. This caused the relief valve to open and let water out which caused the lack of hot water at times. He told me the valve should still be under warranty and that I should call the installer which was Petermans. Petermans sent a technician who said it was confusing to him when I explained what was happening. After explaining to him what the other plumber found, he tried to tell me that it was because we didn't have an expansion tank. When I tried to talk to him about the gas valve being the problem, he got upset and said that I needed to change my attitude towards him or they would not do the work. I apologized but he left. I later got a call from someone at Petermans telling me that they would not be serving our house any longer and to find another company. There was never a confrontation or raised voices, so I was very​ disappointed that they refused to send another technician to cover the warranty work.

Tyler and Josh did a great job. They explained what they were going to do, they addressed all issues. They made sure to honor and protect our property. Did all in a timely manner.

Kasey loves her job and her craft and her attitude is outstanding! Amazing customer service and even better work! I didn’t want anybody else to do the job, I made sure Petermans sent Kasey she knows her stuff!

Stevens and his partner did a great job with my furnace and heat pump installation. They were timely and tidy. They explained my new system to me and made sure I had no other questions before leaving

Lucas came out to check on a light that hasn’t been working in our kitchen. He quickly got to work checking that issue as well as the rest of the electrical to insure our safety! Lucas was friendly, knowledgeable and even loved on our dog, Herky! While talking with Lucas he also gave my son some advice as he has thought of being an electrician when he gets older! It was as always, a wonderful experience with a Peterman Brothers technician!

Couldn’t ask for better service. Christopher Hudson was top notch. Took his time to explain everything in detail and price was more than reasonable.

Complete HVAC system replacement. Gary Donagon, sales, and the installation team of Anthony Conner, Rob Mullis, Dante Reed, Skyler Hacker, Jake Walcher in a word are exemplary in what they do. I watch in amazement as these men worked in well synchronized harmony applying their talents. Highly endorsed.

Follow on, we were so very happy with the HVAC installation that we decided to upgrade our 10 year old water filtration system. Two plumbers were here yesterday and installed a whole home water filtration system. We needed to leave to attend a local event soon after the Peterman crew left. Brushing our teeth my wife and I commented that the water tasted funny. Bottom line--today our water is so salty that we can't cook, with it or even bathe. We called Peterman Brothers saying we have an emergency. We can't live in a home whose water has more salt content than the ocean. We have purchased their "membership" for two years. The call center did not seem to appreciate the gravity of our plight. They said that they would "try" to get someone here tomorrow. Bad Show

I use them, I use them every year. And hate every second of it. So, some pros:

- I don't think they're a complete rip-off on price... there's some mark-up there, but they align with other companies.
- I think their annual service plan is very cost effective.
- Their employees are very competent and do good work. Maybe I should have given them three stars because of this, because they typically do have good people.

Cons:
- When they're doing whatever you need done, they will also look for other problems in your home and give you a hard sell to fix other stuff.
- They will give you ridiculous options when they diagnose a problem. A hypothetical example would be - I can fix this for $200 or I can sell you a brand new system for $15,000. But they'll present the new system like it's a recommended option and tell you all the reasons it's beneficial. A lot of the time the technician will feel bad about doing it and let you know that you don't really have to replace your entire system, but part of their job is to try to sell you on very expensive options.
- Honestly, the biggest con is the scheduling - it's a nightmare. The people who answer the phones are rude and unhelpful... it may actually be in their job description that they have to be complete jerks. And what they do is schedule you for a day and then when they have someone available, they incessantly call you over and over again trying to get them out there. And they text you so you don't have to answer the call or call them back, but the text functionality doesn't actually work so you do have to try to get on the phone with them. The whole process for scheduling is a nightmare... to the point that I wrote a 2 star review just so I could vent about it.

Danny Burt was professional, courteous, and knowledgable. On Day 1 he explained well the need for replacement. He returned Day 2 for install of new furnace humidifier. Repairs are never fun but pros like Danny make it a better experience.

Zach Peters returned to install my water heater this morning, he Done a very fantastic job. I truly feel peace and stress free because of him. I have hot water now I can enjoy my bath. 10 out of 10 I highly recommend Zach for all your plumbing needs.

Reid did an excellent job fixing the issue in about 2 minutes. He was very friendly and cordial. I am always impressed by how knowledgeable your team are. I will always use Peterman’s for my repairs.

Dillion Nelson, Ricky Bray & the install team have done a phenomenal job for us at our home! I wouldn't hire anyone other than Peterman Brothers for your plumbing and HVAC needs! Brandon Ide by far is the best of the Pertman team. I had issues with my install of my humidifer system not being hooked up effectively the unit was leaking & flooded through the floor nto the bedroom through the walls. He came out fixed everything. He gave us future preventive maintenence recommendations . This way we can budget for a better efficiency on my air/heat system before it becomes a crisis. He saved a valued guest with his service asI was quite upset sinxe this was the 2nd time in about 5 weeks this happened to me. In May when we are ready to buy our upgraded parts it will be because he recommended so & helped us to avoid an outrage emergency and awful inconvenience. Thank you Brandon.

Josh arrived at scheduled time. He looked over the old heater discussing what he saw as he looked. He then sat with his computer and prepared a quote with about 5 options. He emailed the quote to me and then explained each option in detail. He thanked me for my time and said he however would give him chance to serve us. Very nice man. Courteous and friendly. Looked and behaved in a very professional manner.

We were having a drain issue. Willie did a detailed inspection. He checked everything. He gave us a couple of suggestions on what was going on. Then gave us a reasonable qoute to fix it. Willie was very professional and polite

Home repairs can already be stressful sometimes getting the bad news or limited options that force your hand can add more stress. Jeremy was both professional and personable. He made sure to offer information and insight about my membership that gave more options and helped make the best decision for my family.

Jonah was awesome for plumbing inspection and diagnostics! He was so courteous, knowledgeable, and thorough. He seems like a really genuine and honest person. I will be having future services completed by Peterman Bros. and will request Jonah as my preferred service provider. Thanks!

Peterman Brothers turned out to be one of the most frustrating service experiences I’ve had. Customer service felt dismissive, sometimes outright rude, and there was very little respect for my time — missed expectations, poor communication, and zero sense of urgency.

The membership pitch sounds impressive upfront, but actually trying to use those “benefits” was a completely different story. Lots of vague answers, fine print, and upselling — it started to feel less like customer care and more like a revenue-first operation.

Honestly, the whole experience left me feeling like they simply don’t care — as if losing one customer means nothing to a big multimillion-dollar business! Disappointed!

I had scheduled an appointment with Peterman 2 days in advance. I then changed my schedule to work from home on the day of the appointment which is not easy for me to do. At 2pm on the day of the appointment Peterman called to cancel saying they had no one available to service the appointment they helped me schedule 2 days prior. I was lucky Hope Plumbing was able to come out at 4pm that day so I did not have use a PTO day. I would not recommend using Peterman if you need an exact date or time for an appointment.
