Just had Jim out today!!! Did a super fantastic job on all the concerns I had and took care of all of them. Jim (the owner) actually performed the repair of an inoperative circuit at my house today. He diagnosed the problem very quickly and had repaired the problem within an hour. Professional, knowledgeable and reasonable. Based on my experience I highly recommend Sterling.

Did a great job for our home in Kendallville, creating a plan to best light a large and rather dark living room. They were quick, clean, and efficient when they came out to do the installation and the results are fantastic. Great layout of the recessed lights, and a room that functions much better now thanks to their workmanship. Highly recommend.

Called another electric company prior to Sterling because my dryer outlet was not working I was told the entire breaker box needed replaced. Prior to spending that kind of money I needed a 2nd opinion so I called Jim Sterling who came and told me it was just an individual breaker switch that was needed and would cost me about 30 dollars. A big difference from the 1800 dollar quote I was first given. Out of curiosity I asked him what he thought about my breaker box to which he let me know it was in working condition although it was very old. He then quoted me an 1100 replacement on that breaker box. Much cheaper than the previous company. He was up front with me saying it didn’t need done but it wouldn’t hurt given its age. The other company did not even mention the dryer outlet could be fixed by replacing one breaker switch... I went ahead and had him replace the breaker box to be safe. Work got done in one day. I am very happy with Sterling electric and will be calling them again in the future!

I called Jim at 6:20 a.m. expecting to get voicemail, I got Jim. He has a very busy day but said he could work me in at 7:00. He found the issue quickly, ensured our home was safe and will come back and install new light on a later date. Jim took time to chat and was a nice guy.

I had a rental home without service after the big storm. Sterling electric saved my butt by working out their schedule to come right away on Saturday even! The work was great and employees were super nice! i highly recommend their services!

We weren't sure if we could find someone local that could service our old low-voltage lighting system, but Jim did a great job, and gave us some honest advice on whether we should rewire the whole house or not. Super friendly and responsive, we'll definitely use his services again!

it was great doing business with Sterling Electric. The owner does most of the work. He is very busy but took his time to complete and go over the project with me. He first came and gave me a quote and stuck to the amount he quoted. I would not hesitate to have him do any electrical job at my house! Job well done!

We tried changing a couple of outlets in our home and something went bad. Our light fixtures were flickering in a particular area of our home, which worried us because it could potentially be a precursor for a fire. We texted Sterling at 9:30 on a Friday night. (To our dismay, most electricians didn't offer after hours/emergency services.) However, Jim (the owner) responded to our text within minutes! He told us how to neutralize the issue overnight to keep us safe by turn off the circuits connected to the problem areas. He came the next morning at 9am to help us. He diagnosed the problem quickly and repaired the problem within a half an hour. He even installed new outlets with USB for us while he was here. He was friendly, professional, knowledgeable and the price was fair for a Saturday job. We highly recommend Sterling!

Jim was on time (actually a little early), professional, courteous, and responsive to my requests. He even completed a couple of extra tasks that I "added on" while he was here for the scheduled service.
