Do not ever use this company for planting grass. They got a contract to seed the town of Roanoke after sidewalk work. They showed up and put topsoil in very sloppy - nothing was evenly graded or pack down well. Then they hydroseeded in July when it was very hot and humid. Their mulch was so thick that most of the grass that sprouted was killed off by pythium turf fungus. Come to find out, their contract read they were not supposed to do this work until fall. We dealt with weeds the next two months and dirt settled significantly leading to drop offs. When they returned at the end of September, they did a terrible job again and just left all the weeds and barely seeded anything. This company is terrible, I would never recommend them!

Harlow is legit the most impressive, professional business I've ever dealt with. Ernies crew exceeded expectations at every turn. I honestly couldn't be more impressed.

The gentleman that came in the morning to touch base was very friendly. The men working in the neighborhood were very hardworking and seem to have their "system" down to a science!! They worked late into the evening. At 720 pm, they were still working on the yard across the street. I'm sure they were exhausted and hungry and past ready to go home. When I flagged them over to request a huge favor,they were very kind in response. The area between the garage and sidewalk was not done because we had told them we didn't want grass there. Makes sense. But he kindly raked the piles of dirt out for me and leveled it out! I hope he knows how much I appreciate the extra effort and friendly attitude! You all did a fantastic job!! Thank you so much!! It all looks great!

We had Harlow hydroseed roughly 3 acres in October. They did a great job and the grass looks great!! The 2nd photo was after 2 weeks.

I’ve never had Sunflower work on my lawn. All I know about them is that one of their workers got out of his truck while at a red light so he could get a traffic cone out of the intersection that had been blown in from the wind… First impressions don’t get much better than that. Would definitely be willing to hire/recommend them now.

We have very big flower gardens and got behind maintaining them. Sunflower Lawns did a super fantastic job. It too 5 of them all day things were so bad. But it is pristine, beautiful, and done the way we wanted. New edging, cleaned out the beds, maintained the shrubs, pulled weeds, and spread 5 yards of mulch. I’m calling them again next year.

Excellent work and attention to detail on my paver patio! I also had them install a retaining wall and it not only looks great but feels solid. Very pleased!

The landscaping project that I requested was done well. My disappointment is in the repair of my irrigation system. After several phone calls in the month plus after the job was completed, no one has contacted me or shown up to repair the broken sprinkler heads. I doubt compensation will be made either.

They have been doing work down the street from me and they always leave mud and dirt all over the street worst part is they had a machine break and leak fuild all over the street and never cleaned it up i called the city and they never showed up to clean it either

Sunflower removed two large trees from our yard and did an excellent job — even with clean up. I’d recommend them for tree work.

Sunflower treat our yard and makes it look so green every year and had no problems with them been very happy.

I provided my information to this company at the Home and Garden show. I finally got a call almost a week later. And despite the owner Brent saying he would call me back the next day it was then another week later before he called back. While I was trying to set up a time for an estimate he was very pushy about when he would show up at my house despite me telling him that it wasn't a good time. I said I would have to get back to him when I had time and he laughed at me and hung up. No clue how their actual work is but I'm skeptical based on how lack of professionalism.
