General Contractor reviews in Indianapolis, Indiana

We have used Tuttle Construction Services for serval projects around the house. They fixed flashing on roof leak, installed backsplash and remodel a master bathroom. Extremely affordable prices, great quality work and on-time and respectful employees. We will continue to use Tuttle Construction Services Inc. for all our home projects.

TCS did a phenomenal job with my large, multi-project remodel. They were flexible as our decisions changed multiple times throughout the process, and they were extremely detail oriented and ensured everything was done correctly. They were kind, professional, and I will absolutely use them again and have already referred them. They really transformed my home into my own, a place I really love.

Lindsay and Nick were responsive and fast and typically a joy to work with. They helped bring my vision to reality. The issue is with the quality of work.
We had a shower half wall installed with a glass enclosure around the top. The shower half wall was installed totally crooked and not plumb with visibly off sight lines. We noticed this after tiling was completed and had to point it out. They tried to fix it, but failed. Whenever the glass company came to install the glass, they noticed right away and were notably upset because they were fearful that the crooked shower wall would make their glass look off. They also built a partition wall by the toilet that was visibly crooked that they ended up fixing, but only after we pointed it out.
Quality of shower tile install is poor. Tile looks visibly crooked on several planes. Floor tile is also not level, with noticeable lips sticking up, one of which the door jams on. They left a mitered corner in the top of the shower wall totally unfilled with caulk and the edges of the marble at the shower entrance unpolished. The shower caulk was bad enough that we didn't have confidence that they could fix it, so we decided to bring in another contractor. Upon seeing it, the new contractor told me that it is so bad that we shouldn't use the shower at all until it was properly fixed(He also noticed the crooked shower wall immediately, measured it, shook his head, and told me he hoped that I didn't pay full price for it). Getting the shower into a usable condition will cost us an additional one thousand dollars.
All this to say this bathroom renovation was far from cheap. We are really really disappointed that it turned out this way and that we have to live with it. Upon seeing this review, TCS did contact me in a sternly worded email saying that they would have fixed it if I wouldn't have been a coward and said something to them. -
Nick and his team remodeled my master bathroom for my wife and I. We could not be happier with the results! We were very nervous going into this process and they were patient with us the entire way. They helped us find out what our style is and helped us pick out the perfect materials for our bathroom. We could not be happier! Will definitely be using Nick and his team for all our future projects!

Nick and his TCS crew did a fantastic job. Came in and knocked out finishing in the drywall in my garage. What a difference! All members involved were very professional, and treated this project as their own. Would highly recommend to anyone with home improvement needs!

Tuttle Construction was great to work with. Nick and Lindsay caulked around all windows, repaired/replaced/painted rotted exterior wood. They showed up when they said they would and finished on time and within the estimate given. I would definitely use them again and highly recommend this company. Thanks for a job well done, Nick and Lindsay!

We completely remodeled our master bathroom last year. TCS gave us a reasonable quote for our project. The shower is absolutely beautiful! Nick and his team were very professional honest, trustworthy with years of experience. I am officially a very satisfied customer. Thumbs up TCS !!

We had Tuttle Construction Services remodel our kitchen and we were amazed with the results! They replaced all the cabinets, rebuilt the island, added new countertops and backsplash. They did such a great job that we had them replace all tile in the master shower and add shiplap and shelves in the laundry room! I highly recommend them for all your remodeling needs.

I’ve been working with Richard and his crew for nearly a year now, and they’ve quickly become one of my go-to contractors. Their responsiveness and communication are consistently top-notch—they’re easy to get a hold of, quick to follow up, and always keep me in the loop throughout each project.
Richard himself is extremely friendly, professional, and genuinely easy to work with. He’s a down-to-earth guy who takes pride in what he does, and it shows in both his team’s work and their overall approach to customer service.
It’s not always easy to find contractors who are reliable, communicative, and deliver quality results, but Richard and his crew check all the boxes. I highly recommend them and look forward to continuing to work together. -
We just used Indiana Residentail for the second time, and have been very happy with them on both occasions. They did a great job on a kitchen remodel in 2021, and recently helped us with a guest bath remodel. Highly recommend!

I have used many different contractors over the past 17 years in the real estate industry. I can say without a doubt Indiana Residential is the most thorough, professional and easiest contractor to work with. They show up on time, provide full detailed estimates in a timely manner and schedule the repair work around our closing dates. They truly help the make the inspection process that much easier. Not only for me as an agent, but for our clients as well.

We have used Ben and his team numerous times now over the past year to update and repair our newly purchased 120 year old property including replacing all of our ceiling light fixtures, repair and replace old faucets as well as paint walls and ceilings. The level of craftsmanship and professionalism was top knotch. We will not hesitate to use them again for future repairs and updates.

We had our basement mold and water damage remediation completed by Indiana Residential and 'Dan the Mold Dog' did a fantastic job with his professionalism, high quality, and attention to detail. We highly recommend!

My clients love Indiana Residential, and so do I! They are quick to get you an estimate, always competitive on price, and do great work. Indiana Residential is the first call I make when one of my clients needs some work done on their home or needs a quote on inspection items. They have looked at $220 jobs all the way up to $50K+ renovations for my clients... Every one of those clients chose Indiana Residential if they decided to do the work. I highly recommend them!!

The Mold Dogs did a fantastic and thorough job working on our crawl space. They added two new sump pits and refigured the original. As well as removing mold and adding new vapor walls. The Mold Dogs were very professional and cooperative during the whole process. I’d definitely recommend these guys for any crawl space projects.

Mold Dogs came through and did an excellent job on my attic and crawl space, while also maintaining a very kind, courteous, and professional temperament. Lovely guys, and we are looking to be return customers for other services should the need arise!

Kelly, my rep and the crew were fantastic. The work was done with such professionalism and accuracy. My home and garage roof were replaced in 2 days and my yard was left cleaner than it was before the work was started.
-
Danny and Melvin did a GREAT job at our house! They were very knowledgeable and professional. Danny was able to tell me exactly what he was doing and why, explaining the entire process so I was informed. Definitely recommend and will be hiring them for future projects!

VERY DISAPPOINTED (with the character limitation for a review). The job was quoted to take 2 weeks, it took 3.5 months. I was giving my wife and I (both handicapped) 3 months to move-in but we ended-up having 2 weeks and very expensive. The contractors were taking drinks out of my fridge, cleaning their equipment in my sink and in the front yard to include the flower garden. The contractors added an extra layer of drywall that wasn't needed and used drywall (some had holes). I showed the sales agent the shower pattern I wanted for about 2.5 months and he acted as if he didn't know. He said if I wanted that pattern it would take another 2-3 weeks (I wanted to move-in since my lease was expiring). I went with a different pattern that I thought the sales agent could complete in the shortest time. I told him the shower door I wanted but he built the bench outside the shower which he said is how they do it. Hence my shower door wouldn't work. The shower guys went thru my house taking drinks from fridge, tools, ladders, even a portable speaker. When I told the sales agent what the guys were doing, each time he would say "I don't believe that". Nothing like having sales agent tell you that you're lying. The sales agent eventually wouldn't answer my calls, I couldn't get him to the house so I could show him the issues until I told him to act professional. If I called Thursday or Friday, he wouldn't respond because I found out that is when he is planning his 3-day weekends. I eventually changed the locks so I could get them out of my house. I repaired 3 outlets that the plug would fall 1/2 inch into the wall due to shoody maint. installing the outlets (& extra added drywall). The niche in the shower had to be repaired 4x before it was correct. GFI outlet was installed incorrectly. The exhaust fan is NOT connected to an outside as is "code" and I requested a new vent. I still have one outlet that doesn't work but I wont have them in my house again. The contractors used wouldnt speak English or acted that they couldn't. I even told the sales agent that part of his work comes from word of mouth, he responded "I don't believe that". I could go on but Google wont let me. Good luck if you use them, I wont and have told everyone that has asked how I liked using them.

Chris Williams with Indiana Residential displays a level of professionalism that every homeowner should be so lucky to have work on their home improvement project. Indiana Residential offers a quality product at a fair price and their team is capable, respectful, and patient. They performed structural work on our main floor living space with limited disruption and built out a custom sauna in our basement that came out every bit as good as the brochure photos. I would recommend Indiana Residential to anyone considering a home improvement project.
