Constraction reviews in New Albany, Indiana

So grateful for Orange Construction for working with our insurance company to have repairs done to our home. They did a great job, very professional, and friendly as well as courteous. We are very happy with the work that was done.

Excellent work but never recorded work done as it was completed. When work was completed they tried to charge us for the entire estimate. About half of the work was actually completed that was on the estimate.
After going through the estimate line by line and fighting to convince them of what work actually was completed, I got a more reasonable estimate of what was owed but it was still off. Avoid this company at all costs or get robbed. -
Poor workmanship and communication. They ended up causing thousands of dollars worth of damage because they didn’t respect our stuff. The owner, Andrius, gives bad vibes. Violeta, a “project manager” isn’t even in the US.
Update: In response to Andrius below, they did reimburse us for the damage that was done. However, that's like saying that stitches were paid for when you stab someone. Does it help that they reimbursed? Yes. But, none of this should've happened to begin with. The lack of professionalism and know-how is ridiculous.
I could give multiple instances of directions not being followed which resulted in delays in completion. Violeta had the workers put down quarter round before the floor was installed, which led to having to pull it up and install flooring. She repeatedly messed up, lacked communication skills, and pushed many of the good workers to quitting. Hard to be helpful and do your job well when you're in Lithuania.
The payment part was a joke with Orange. I cannot make insurance send money. You have to send costs for them to pay me, then, we have to get with our bank. We never withheld payment. We always paid what we had. The ending was delayed because we wanted to make sure that we were fairly paid for all the damage done. As soon as I got with Josh and figured it out, you were paid.
All of this was documented. He can try to justify all he wants and make me look like the bad guy, but in the end, it's just another company that's all about the money and doesn't have pride in their work. -
On April 26th, our home suffered much damage from a corroded pipe and drainage clog. Orange Restoration called us within minutes of us contacting our insurance company. Our insurance company (USAA) highly recommended Orange and we are very glad they did. They were here the following day and have been since then, removing damaged drywall and flooring and then rebuilding it and painting. I cannot say enough great things about their professionalism, quality work, communication, and timeliness. Perry, Bobby, Jason, Josh, Todd, and Paul have been outstanding and we are very grateful for their help. I wish I could give them a 1,000 star rating!

I am completely satisfied with this companies work. They work with me while I submitted my insurance claims.

We have used Orange Restoration to fix a roof leak and repair inside ceiling water damage. They are prompt, give good and fair estimates, do excellent work and communicate well. Josh even came out again recently to check out a possible leak and though there was not a leak, he told us what to do for no charge. Our homeowners insurance company, USAA, uses them. We highly recommend them.

I'm so glad I went with a local company here in New Albany. Brian and Josh were outstanding from start to finish. They were very patient, helpful and understanding about the needs of the job from start to finish. My house looks great with everything they did and when the next home project or repair comes along I wont hesitate to call Orange. Great job all! Thanks again!

I would NOT recommend hiring Orange Restoration due to the poor quality of their work, lack of professional communication, and because of the damage caused to my home and vehicles during this project.
We payed $4,500 to have the water damage in our bathroom and basement garage repaired. It took close to three weeks to complete the work. Orange Restoration did not communicate well. I had taken off work the first day that work was supposed to begin but they did not show and I had to call them to inquire (someone had called in sick but no one had called me to let me know.) We had to ask Orange Restoration to come back out several times for repairs to the work they had completed. They layed new tile and had installed one that was cracked, the reinstalled toilet leaked water through the garage ceiling every time we flushed and they did not catch it, and the bathroom painting project included the light fixtures, toilet paper holder and paint fingerprints on the trim.
The damage was caused by screws left in the garage where Orange Restoration was repairing the ceiling drywall. It resulted in a total of four flat tires on two vehicles. This oversight cost us an additional $400 to repair. Orange Restoration refused to reimburse us for the full amount of this damage despite their initial agreement to do so and despite receipts from the tire repair shop and photos provided. My recommendation is to hire a different company to complete your work. -
I live in Louisville and had storm damage on June 5th of this year. I called my insurance company & the next day June 6th, Orange Restoration came at 8am. They did a great job of removing large limbs & cleaning the roof, deck & back yard, with no further damage. Thanks to all the workers at "Treez" for their hard work.

I had to use my homeowner's insurance for the first time in my life, which naturally felt like a very overwhelming situation at first. Fortunately, AllState referred Orange Restoration, who couldn't have been more helpful.
Orange's service provider spent ample time on-site explaining every step of his process, his findings, and what he was going to do to fix the situation. He communicated things clearly and was pleasant to talk to, even as he worked tirelessly clean up the mess caused by the water heater that my house came with.
He also took the time to inspect behind the walls and found (and removed) a surprising amount of mold, as well as set up dehumidifiers and fans to remove the water that had seeped into my carpet on the other side of the wall. It was a ton of work, but he was a super cool guy and also very professional - but most importantly, he was essential in helping a stressful process become manageable. Highly, highly recommended. -
Horrible company. Do not let them tear up your house on the recommendation of an insurance company (you'd have no other reason to use them). This is the quintessential example of a contractor with insurance backing that is simply looking to maximize its profits and provide little to no customer value or service. Used them to provide "mitigation" services after the winter storms resulted in frozen pipes busting in my upstairs bathroom. Instantly regretted it.
Rather than remove the trim with the appropriate tool before cutting a hole in the drywall to mitigate, Perry (who claimed to be a "trim carpenter" by trade) came in with a crowbar, cut a chunk out of the baseboard, and completely cracked the custom baseboard and threw it in his truck. After Perry revealed a replacement would be $800 for a 12 foot baseboard, I had to drive to Orange's office myself to retrieve the baseboard, and it was only at that time that Perry finally revealed the damage he had done.
They set up fans at my home and did not return to retrieve them until they needed them for another job. Almost certainly charged the insurance company more for the additional time they left the fans running at my house.
After everything, they took approximately a month just to get an estimate approved by Insurance. No communication in the interim. I finally received a call from the office asking me if i'd like to "sign a contract." I had not even received an estimate. The estimate I received later came out to more than $7,000. I called my trusted contractors for paint, drywall, and carpet and was able to make all the same repairs for about $1,500. Orange are scam artists. -
Everyone that helped in my home was very professional and respectful to me and protected my furniture. Lubosiono kept me informed on everything that they had to do. He also explained why they were using the equipment, and how the equipment worked. I didn't have to do anything but open my doors and let them in. They also ordered the POD ,because everything in my house was flooded and we needed room to setup equipment and dry my floors. I like everything after it was done. They cleaned up everything as they worked. There wasn't anything for me to do at all. I'm very pleased with there work and I felt very comfortable with all the workers very nice people.

I have a pipe that burst in my upstairs bathroom. My insurance company put me in contact with Orange and they did a wonderful job on all of my repairs. They replaced all the carpet upstairs, basically gave me a new kitchen with the paint job and patched my wall so perfectly you would never know there was a huge hole. My project manager Lubo was the best and so patient.

If I could give negative stars I would. DO NOT let this company near anything! They will destroy your house and try to charge the insurance for things they didnt even do. Allstate hired this company for an insurance claim and they came in and tore everything out of the house even things that could have been saved. Once it was down to the studs they stopped working saying they needed more money from the insurance company to get started on fixing the house. Needless to say 168,000 later and the house is still down to the studs and they're no where to be found. All they did was blame everything on the home inspector on why things weren't getting fixed. 6 months and still nothing but studs.

The day of 4th of July we had a toilet overflow the night before and flooded our house and downstairs. Orange restoration came out right away and got to work, on a holiday!! He pulled carpet, opened the walls and ceiling and got to drying everything, to ensure we wouldn't have mold issues. Our minds were so at ease from the professionalism and kindness and info that were shown to us. I wouldn't want anyone else for these tragic circumstances. Orange is by far the best we could have hoped for!!!

Highly recommend! Used Orange Restoration after the water heater pipe busted and flooded the first floor and basement. They came out quickly and removed the drywall and flooring, and dried the carpet. Insurance approval process took a few weeks, but once the insurance paid the claim, our house was repaired within 3 weeks. Project manager Lubos was always responsive and helpful to guide us through the process.

I am actually shocked by bad reviews of this company as we had an excellent experience with them from beginning to end. Lubos is incredibly helpful and so nice to work with. He was outstanding about communicating the steps that we needed to take... he was on top of everything. The work was done quickly and beautifully. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about our encounter with Orange and highly recommend.

We had a leak in our upstairs bathroom that went down into our garage. Orange did a great job from start to finish. Lubos was super nice and professional and took good care of us. Ultimately the bathroom looks as good or better than it did before!
-
Orange Restoration was incredible to work with. We needed entirely new downstairs flooring after a toilet leak. Our project manager, Lubo, took care of everything swiftly, with great communication.
They took over from another company who completely ghosted us after a month of going back and forth. From the moment Orange took over it was smooth sailing.
Our new flooring looks great. Would highly recommend Orange Restoration! They’ll be our go-to for any future projects. -
Orange Restorations did a wonderful job reparing my dining room after a fire.
They were professional, friendly and communicative. They were even able to save some of my "antique " wallpaper.
The carpeting is beautiful! They went above and beyond. I highly recommend Orange Restorations! -
Horrible quality, look at the mistakes in the siding job they did. Also so many mistakes and promises they are not holding up what I was told. I have damage and have been dealing with orange for close to a year. This is a job that should have been completed within a month (due to ordering materials, this is a 1-2 day job). A good example of how I was lied to, when I complained about the way they cut around the window, they didn’t even cut it at an angle. They told me, those were precision cuts and they would charge me more for those because they take more material. They cut it flat and didn’t even include a drip cut. All the water is going behind the siding on the wood. As you can see, the workmanship is that of a 13 year old.
I forgot to add, you don’t put nails or screws on the outside of the siding. They did. Now I have holes all over the siding. Also they put the aluminum flashing on the outside of the siding. This goes behind the siding. This is not the only mistakes and examples of poor workmanship. I have several more examples.
My next step is court with them.
UPDATE:
They sent someone to look at the siding for the fifth time from a total separate company to get an outside opinion. They said this was shotty work and all of the siding needs to be removed and replaced. Water is getting behind the siding in several spots damaging the house behind. Yes nothing barrier was put behind the siding also.
When he gave them the report, they still refused to go by the companies suggestion and replace it and do it correctly. On my dormers, they simply said, we can’t do it and offered a small refund. I refused it and will be taking them to court as they have gone silent and not done anything. The window that was put in, the trim has gaps, hammer dents, they left the wood unpainted and exposed. They will have a lot more to pay for with all of the water damage occurring to the house because of the poor workmanship. My advice is to RUN from this place!!I will add more pictures later. Siding is actually popping off the walls!
