Painting reviews across the US

We were very pleased with the work done by RRD Painting. They stripped the wallpaper in our master bath and repainted the walls, doors, woodwork and cabinets and did some repair on kitchen popcorn ceiling. The finished product was beautiful. We would recommend them and use them again for future projects.

Ludy and his team were outstanding. He is fast, hard working, and listens to what you need. I cannot recommend him enough. If we ever need future work, he will get the first call.

Highly recommend. We had RRD painting complete a ton of wall repairs, Sheetrock and then painting the interior of our house. We are very happy with the result and the owner is great to work with!

I have hired RRD Painting multiple times…exterior house painting, several interior rooms and now for garage and finished basement remodeling needing extensive sheet rock repairs and walls, new staircase and rec-room bar painting. Each time they delivered high quality work in timely manner and competitive price. I highly recommend this business.

They did great work for us with amazing attention to detail! Ludy (the owner) kept us well informed and up to date with the project, pointed out stuff that needed to be done, and him and his crew were nice, professional, and worked very fast! We are extremely happy with the result! High recommendations all around!

Ludi is the best in the KC Metro area! I found him when driving down the road, gave him a call and he turned around immediately and came to the house to quote a bathroom we needed painted. He was extremely polite, punctual, very detail oriented, and an all around good person. I have recommended him to all of my friends and family and would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone in need of painting services.

Ludy came in under my original bid and then exceeded all expectations!!! He was professional, diligent and extremely trustworthy. I felt comfortable enough to leave him working while I went out of town. He painted the outside and did so great I’m asking him to continue right to the inside.

After another painting company treated me so poorly, I called RRD Painting. What an amazing company to do my custom painting. Lude was responsive to my request for a bid and started the work the next day. The project was completed in a timely manner with professionalism and skill. The end product was just how I envisioned it. I can’t imagine using any other painter for my future painting needs. I’m thrilled with the results.

Ludy and his crew did a great job painting the inside of my home. They were courteous, friendly and protected all the furniture. When they were finished they took great care in cleaning up and putting furniture back in its place. Besides painting they can also repair or replace anything you need done in and around your home. I would recommend their services to anyone.

I highly recommend RRD Painting from Roeland Park, KS. Ludy Dormes and his crew are exceptional. We had 6 of our 10 HOA bldgs painted this Summer/Fall. Our homes look fresh and beautiful. Ludy and his crew are hard workers, paid attention to details, we’re punctual. They pointed out things that needed repair & did a good job fixing or replacing (like wood rot)! They do high quality work, yet are reasonably priced. Fair! And they are neat. They protected everything that wasn’t being painted and cleaned up all trash which was taken away every night. I’m impressed and very pleased with their work. They’ll paint our 4 remaking bldgs next Spring/Summer.

Ludy and his crew were Outstanding! They removed cedar siding and replaced it perfectly. Painted entire exterior including trim and gutters. Also, interior room. It is so nice to receive such wonderful customer service. On time, protects everything, kind, the time the project was done was Amazing! Looking forward to hiring Ludy and his crew for our next project!

Ludy and the RRD crew have done 4 big jobs for us: in the list 3 years the exterior of the home shown on his website, the interior of our house, all of the painting in a new addition and most recently our kitchen cabinets/kitchen. All of his work has been outstanding. He is also very easy to work with and takes great pains to make sure the job is done right and that the customer satisfied. The kitchen project required working with cabinet, plumbing and electrical trades Ludy coordinated all of that so that we did not have to. Pricing is fair for the services he provides. We highly recommend.

Ludy and his team are amazing! They did everything from painting, flooring, bathroom remodel, window & door installation and built me a new deck!
I highly recommend!

Ludy and his team are exceptional! Got a quote in 1 day. Started work as soon as I was available. Took time to make sure things were done correctly and repaired before painting and painting is beautiful!! They are finishing our house now, and I could not be happier! Don’t call anybody else!

I was looking to have the exterior of our house painted in June of 2024. I attempted to contact several painters given to me as referrals. I also tried using Angie's List but never heard back from any of them. Then, I ran across RRD Painting while doing an internet search. I read the reviews and decided to give them a call.

Ludy answered the phone after two rings. We set up an appointment that afternoon and he arrived 15 minutes early. He gave me a competitive estimate the following day and started less than a week later. This alone was impressive - but doesn't begin to compare to the quality of work he and his crew did on the house - in 95+ degree temperatures. They were courteous, friendly, thorough, and accommodating. They caulked every nail and joint, used high quality paint and did a fabulous job in less time than Ludy had estimated.

After his crew finished, Ludy came by and meticulously inspected their work. He found several minor imperfections which I never noticed and had them fixed the same day. He insisted throughout the project how important it was to him that I, the customer be happy and satisfied with his work. I couldn't be happier.

As a result, in June of 2025, we had RRD Painting come back to paint the entire interior of our house - ceilings, walls, baseboards, crown molding, cabinet faces, etc. The process and experience were exactly the same. Kudos to RRD Painting for their excellent customer service, attention to detail, and quality of work.

Save yourself a lot of trouble and frustration by giving them a call.

Outstanding service and work by all. Ludy and crew were exceptional and completed it within a weather window that is quite tricky in November. Could not more highly recommend them!

RRD was a pleasure to work with and provided in depth explanation of the entire process. Painted interior of a new purchase… ceiling, crown molding , walls, trim and doors. Prepped all areas and caulked all areas that needed it. Very happy with the job and did it on time and as promised.

The team at RRD Painting did a fantastic job with the exterior of my house! They addressed significant wood rot and put a fresh coat of paint on my home--it looks bright and beautiful! Ludi and his team are skilled and efficient, making sure that you are completely satisfied with their work. Pricing was also fair and accurate, based on the quote I received. I love that RRD is a local business that treats its customers like neighbors and friends.

We contracted RRD for finishing our basement. We are delighted with the work they performed. The team work and coordination was impressive and the work was completed on time and budget. We certainly recommend RRD for home improvement projects.

RRD painting did an excellent job with painting and light carpentry work to enhance the art deco feel of our entryway.

I could not be more pleased with the professionalism, friendliness, value and experience with RRD Painting. They were on time, respectful of my property, and friendly. My house looks amazing. I highly recommend Ludi and his team.
