It’s unfortunate that we had a windstorm a couple days before I went otherwise I love going to this place because it’s locally owned and I support locally owned businesses but they were very knowledgeable and very helpful. If you ask them, they will stop what they’re doing and help you.

Was immediately greeted when I walked in the door and allowed time to look before they asked if I needed help. Great selection of beautiful Frasier fir trees and their poinsettias are amazing with a wide variety of colors and sizes. Sherbondy's is a small-town feeling in a large well-stocked nursery.

I loved browsing here and found an amazing variety of flowers and veggies. It may cost a little bit more than a box retailer, but it is totally worth it. Plus, my kids loved seeing the baby ducks, fish and other birds.

Disappointing warranty/tree care instructions. We bought a Red Oak tree for our front yard, spent a lot of money on it and installation. When purchasing it we told the (very helpful) worker that we knew nothing about trees or maintenance and he told us that the crew that dropped off the tree would give us all the info we needed, plus there was a one year warranty on the tree. Two months later the tree was planted and we followed all the instructions regarding watering, etc.

Late last year we noticed the trunk was worn and bought something to prevent deer from rubbing on it. This year our tree is totally dead. Called and asked about the 1 year warranty and we were told that it doesn’t cover deer damage. Maybe we should have known that deer can ruin young trees but we’re disappointed that we weren’t informed that this is a risk (a risk with a $3 tube/fence solution.)

Good variety of plants. Great place to wander around and look at stuff.

I was in Council bluffs this weekend and was Totally lost.
I must have driven around for an hour trying to find where I was supposed to be for a meeting.
John Sherbondy was SO kind ... started to give me directions and realized I wasn’t from Iowa.
He said follow me.. I’ll take you there. Probably 5 miles from where I was supposed to be.
Who does things like this anymore?
Just an awesome gift!

Wonderful home town greenhouse.

This is one very cool garden store. I went in to buy my daughter a gift card. The owner sold me the gift card and she couldn't have been nicer. The store is defiantly worth a visit. Lots to see with good folks to explain what you need to know.

Sherbondys is a Council Bluffs icon, and their servant hearts are the most valuable aspect of the owners John and Kip Sherbondy. Every year I love taking my kids to the store...it is such a joy for them. I look forward to our first visit this spring.

Best plants ever. I love home/ family owned business that had quality products that show their passion for their industry. They're always helpful and everyone is kind and caring here. Some things are on the pricey side, but their bonsai plants arent usually too expensive and priced better than elsewhere. Has great selections of succulents and cacti. Their Boston ivy plants are gorgeous as well. These are the plants I purchased and they're all thriving after a month!

Weve been coming to Sherbondys for the past year, and it is the only place me and my wife buy plants. Friendly people, great atmosphere and awesome plants. What more can you ask for?

I'm not allowed to go here by myself again, I want to bring everything home with me. I never knew Council Bluffs had a garden center like this. Went for the first time this morning and was blown away how big the place was. Everyone was super friendly and happily answered any questions they had.

Such a great family run, locally owned store! They really have their game down! I love their greenhouse and selection and their outdoor ceiling area is super great too! The staple of the Fairmont neighborhood. Wonderful place!

Very friendly and helpful staff! Great selection and prices. Went there for the 1st time the other day with my child. Was very thoughtful of the gal who helped me, to go above and beyond by carrying the plants and loading them into the car for me without me even asking. Definitely plan to visit many times again, especially because of the wonderful staff!

WOW what an inventory! Sherbondy's has everything. I was looking for a gift for my mother in law and was impressed with the beautiful pottery and outdoor figurines featured there. Not to mention the row upon row of incredible plants, bushes, and trees. It had been a while since I was there last. Quite a few changes. Just beautiful!

The plants are beautiful and clearly well taken care of. I was even more impressed with the experience! We took my kids there today to pick out flowers to plant with their grandma, and the people there could not have been more friendly, helpful, and patient/kind to the kiddos. They made the experience so fun and exciting for my kids and made us feel welcomed. The woman working (I'm so sad I didn't catch her name) helped my daughter find ripe strawberries on the strawberry plants, chatted with them about the fish, birds, and plants, and gave them some MnMs on the way out. :) Best. Experience. Ever.

This place is so cute and the staff is just wonderful. Kim is always helpful at finding the perfect plants for me. I highly recommend a visit here, plus they have a koi fish pond with dinosaurs around it that the kids love.

Hadn't been in for quite a while. Still the same...gorgeous flowers, plants, pots and decorations! Love their koi pond and birds!

I go here for my spring garden plants. They are nice and helpful with anything I ask. They have a lot of good plants, flowers and more.

First time going to a nursery for plants and I don't think I could have had a better experience! Staff was very nice and the plants were beautifully tended

I was impressed. I came in early in the season, and they had a large variety of plants and flowers avaliable. There were also a few plants I had never seen before.
