Zippy Drain was great to work with. Matt, our technician, was very polite, efficient and informative. He fixed our issue quickly and at a very reasonable cost.

Nate was here far faster than expected. He communicated professionally and he was friendly throughout the entire process. Nate was organized and knew what to do and when to call his boss for advice. He solved the drain issue, cleaned up and was efficient with the payment process. Which was incredibly reasonable considering we called them up on a Sunday afternoon! Well done all around and I will recommend Zippy and Nate to everyone I know!

Very efficient in his work. it was helpful that he explained what was causing the leak and how it could be fixed. wonderfully patientent with our pets.

Work was done well however the technician (Seth) quoted a flat fee and failed to mention the quote was for the first hour. The job took two hours and I was charged $300 over the original quote. I called the office to report this and to please have the techs specify whether a quote is hourly or flat fee. The tech then called me back and said he would have “worked with” me on the cost had he known I was upset. I had told him when he gave me the final cost that he originally quoted $300 less. Not sure what else I could have said to make that clear. He then tried to say he had indeed quoted me the rate as hourly. Unfortunately, that was untrue. The conversation ended with him telling me that he was sorry their equipment is expensive and that they charged me so much but hopes I will find someone else who can do the work for less. I’m a single mom with three kids at home without the time or resources to deal with this treatment. Very sad to have to leave this review.

We had a ceiling leak for awhile. Jackson came out and took a look at everything before cutting into the ceiling trying to minimize any extra work. He did a great job explaining everything and fixing the problem. I would recommend these guys to anyone.

Everything was great. On time, polite, helpful and highly skilled. Took care of the problem. Cleaned up after and made sure every thing worked.

Absolutely fantastic! They answer the phone with a greeting and smile. They follow up after service to make sure you're satisfied. They schedule quickly with 2 hour time windows, and call you right before they're on on the way. Digital quotes. Tablets with mobile payments. People are all very nice. And they're one of the few HVAC companies that haven't sold out to private equity firms (still locally owned). Could not ask for more!

Chris went above and beyond to resolve an ongoing issue with our basement sewer line backing up into the laundry. Long story short - we have cast iron pipes & they had so much scale, nothing could pass easily. We’ve had several contractors out here who mentioned the scale but didn’t do anything about it. Probably because due to the nature of the basement finishing choices of the former owner (no access panels, etc) Chris had to access everything through the toilet and descale it manually. He could have gone the route of the other guys, mention it as a possible source of the problem and leave, but he opted to make it right - even if that meant a 2.5 hr trip. 10/10 recommend. I hope I don’t have to see Chris for another 7-10 years, but if we run into trouble, we’ll be calling him.

Without a doubt, the best HVAC company in the Des Moines metro! I work in maintenance and have dealt with many HVAC companies over the years. While most techs I’ve met were good, TCG truly stands out for their outstanding communication, knowledgeable technicians, and top-tier office staff. I’ve called on them more times than I can count and have never had a bad experience. In fact, I even earned my EPA certification just from shadowing their techs. Total Comfort Group will always be my first call for HVAC support.

Chris with Zippy Drain/Total Comfort Group is so efficient, honest and knowledgeable. I had other people look at a couple of these issues and the fees were going to be more than I could afford to pay. Chris came up with other solutions that work for me and much more affordable. Chris also offered and has found, a part that I was told couldn't be found, to fix one of my issues to previous functioning capacity. I am very impressed with the service and respect I was given.

I could not be more pleased with the service and work that was done from start to finish. Everyone I spoke to and interacted with was professional, they listened to my concerns answered questions, if the person didn't have the answer they found someone who did have the answer.
When the crew first showed up to my home I was a little worried because everyone looked so young, but once they began working my worries quickly went away because they more than had it under control and I was very impressed with how quick and efficient they was at their job.
I hope the owner appreciates and cherishes the crew he has working for him because from my experience with the company starting from the office crew to the one here at my house they are a wonderful bunch of people and they was one of the best that I have ever worked with in all my experiences.

I am so impressed with Total Comfort Group, and I highly recommend them to anyone needing HVAC or plumbing work. I was in a terrible situation, needing an AC repair during a heatwave after another company assigned by my home warranty (AHS) was unresponsive.
I contacted Total Comfort Group at 11:52 a.m. and was immediately helped by Amy, who was very polite and understanding. Within a short time, she sent out technicians Lucas and Gavin. They arrived promptly and were able to diagnose and fix the issue with my AC by 1:12 p.m.. All three employees provided outstanding service. It's rare to find a company so responsive and efficient. I will definitely be a repeat customer!

They were prompt, professional and got the job done. Had two issues: temperature on hot water heater and sink stopper. Very nice guys. I will call them next time I need help!
