Constraction reviews in Des Moines, Iowa

This company is great. Edgar was very professional. Fast with getting us an estimate and fitting us in their schedule right away. I definitely liked the fact Edgar always answered my calls right away and answered all my questions. Love their work and would definitely recommend this company to family and friends.

Edgar and his team helped us with a large home update, and was recommended by our designer. Edgar is very professional, detail-oriented, and did a great job communicating on the project. He provided a thorough and detailed quote, and we discussed any changes in advance going forward. He has also gone out of his way several times to help us or give advice on unrelated projects or home issues, and is an all-around good guy. His team did great and timely work, didn't cut corners, and were always flexible around our schedule. Overall we are very happy with the results, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Edgar and Select.

I couldn’t be happier with the work Edgar, Alex, and their team at Select Construction did on our home! From start to finish, they provided exceptional customer service, always transparent with their estimates and construction pricing. The quality of their craftsmanship is unparalleled, with incredible attention to detail in every project.

They built a unique custom litter-box room under our stairs, complete with a private cat-door entrance that our pets love. They also enclosed our deck, updated our piano room, and created beautiful custom shelving in our bathroom. Each project was executed with care and precision, and the results exceeded our expectations.

I highly recommend Select Construction to anyone looking for high-quality, custom work. We’ll definitely be reaching out to them for future projects!

Edgar is awesome and easy to work with, and all the crews are professional, courteous and clean!

Select Construction did an exceptional job with exterior and interior renovations and repairs on my 100-year-old home. They work very efficiently, with attention to detail, at a fair price. Great communication, too. I could not be happier. Thanks so much, Edgar and team!

Edgar and his team were great to work with. We had an assortment of unrelated, medium-sized projects that we wanted done at the same time, and they took a personal approach, making sure each project was to our liking, that we understood the timing and the cost, and communicating very proactively on any issues that came up unexpectedly (which is bound to happen in a 100-year old house). They were committed to making sure everything was just how we wanted it, and their pricing was very competitive - I got multiple bids for each part of our project and no one could beat going with them for everything. We are in love with our new floors, minisplit, driveway, and patio. Thanks Edgar!

I recently had the pleasure of working with Select Construction on a home renovation, and they truly exceeded my expectations! The experience was amazing, thanks to our fantastic contractor, Edgar.

From our initial consultation, communication was excellent. Edgar was always available to answer questions and provided regular updates, making me feel informed throughout the process.

The team was punctual, and their attention to detail was evident in every aspect of the work. From the stunning woodwork in the living room to the precise tile installation in the kitchen, the quality was outstanding.

Select Construction completed the project on time, which is rare in this industry. They worked efficiently without sacrificing quality, and I appreciated their commitment to deadlines.

What impressed me most was Edgar’s willingness to listen to my ideas and incorporate them into the design, turning my vision into reality while offering valuable suggestions.

The final result is breathtaking! My home has been transformed, and I couldn’t be happier. I proudly recommend Select Construction to anyone seeking reliable and skilled contractors.

If you’re looking for a construction company that combines expertise with exceptional service, call Select Construction. Edgar and his team will get you taken care of efficiently, professionally, with the highest level of quality.

Edgar and crew are pros! We got our loan and they were scheduled quickly. I’m super happy to have this project done and it took a half a day.

Edgar and Team were a Blessing to work with. Not only was the final outcome great, but the experience as a customer from beginning to end. Communication, Competency, and Completion are critical parts to every project. I have been in a perpetual remodel at various properties for over 3 years and unfortunately had to go thru 3 local constructions companies who failed in all three before I finally found Select on my last remodel project. I would have saved time and money and had a better fit and finish outcome on all previous projects had I known them earlier. My family never worried about the quality of the people when they were on site. They were always friendly, respectful and worked hard when they were on the job site. Nice Job Select Construction!

Top notch construction. High quality work, great price, easy communication. Would highly recommend. Crew always cleans up every day and is very polite. Couldn't ask for better work.

We had a bathroom remodel. Select explained what it would take to get the bathroom the way we wanted it, and why, and they were always on time, friendly, and professional. Top notch craftsmanship and finished on schedule. Smooth and spotless process. Couldn't be happier!

We had a porch added to the front of our 100 year old home in the Waveland neighborhood. Selected Construction did an amazing job.

Edgar and his crew did an amazing job on this commercial flooring project. Would highly recommend. They are very fast and easy to work with. A+ all the way.

We hired Select to replace our front door, and they did a phenomenal job! Can’t recommend them enough. The process was quick and super affordable, and they have great communication. Excellent and caring workers, also! They made sure everything was clean before leaving. Will hire again!

Edgar and all his guys did a great job. Edgar and Alex always kept you up to date on what was going on with the project. Highly recommend. Did a really good job and faster then I expected. John W

Edgar and his crew were very careful and professional as they completed painting my kitchen and building, staining, installing shelves and sliding doors to remake pantry. I would highly recommend.

This is the second time I’ve worked with Select Construction for a home remodeling project, and once again they did an incredible job! This time they completely transformed our old pre-fab shower into a beautiful, floor-to-ceiling tiled shower with a custom niche—it looks like something out of a home show! Their team is super friendly, on time, hardworking, and always leaves the space spotless. The final product is absolutely perfect. Highly recommend Select Construction!

Edgar & his crew are awesome!! He guided and made great recommendations to us throughout the master bath remodel and we couldn’t be happier! His communication is excellent and the crews showed up on time.

I cannot recommend this team enough! Edgar and his crew built an addition on our house which included a new kitchen, mudroom, bathroom, library and deck. They also renovated our upstairs bathroom, built us a custom closet system and poured a concrete patio for us in a 6 month span. Edgar’s pricing is extremely transparent which is so important when you are handing over your life savings. The quality of work is amazing and they are so creative and flexible with homeowners. The entire crew is so friendly, trustworthy and kind. I trusted them 100% with our home and they delivered time and time again. When problems came up Edgar was there instantly with a solution. I cannot be happier with our decision to work with Select and we will continue to reach out to them when new projects come up!

Select Construction remodeled our kitchen, redid our floors and did some work on our entryway. During the process the we’re respectful and the communication was great. They were flexible and adjusted the plan for the kitchen after I made a mistake. I love our new kitchen and the floors and will continue using them for all our future projects.

We recently worked with Select Construction and Remodeling on a home renovation project and couldn’t be happier with the results. My mom’s health changed suddenly and she needed a shower on our main floor. After meeting with several other construction companies who weren’t able to help, Select Construction came in and found a solution by switching the bathroom and laundry room and adding a shower.

They understood how important it was to get this done quickly for our family and made time in their schedule to accommodate us. The team was efficient, friendly, and respectful throughout the process. They cleaned up every evening, so our house stayed tidy during the renovation.

The finished bathroom looks beautiful and is exactly what we needed. We are very grateful for their hard work and would highly recommend Select Construction and Remodeling to anyone needing a thoughtful and reliable contractor.
