Constraction reviews in Des Moines, Iowa

We first hired AIM to gut and update our 100 year old home’s bathroom based on a friend’s recommendation. Five years later, we had our kitchen remodeled by AIM. Their commitment to doing the job right, hiring knowledgeable people, and being responsive to our needs made us very pleased. Both projects have improved our home. We are very happy to recommend this company to other friends.

We had an excellent experience working with AIM on a full bathroom remodel. Stephanie, our designer, listened to our vision and ideas, and created a space with a more functional layout and design. Throughout the process, Stephanie kept us updated and made it as stress-free as possible. Hunter and his crew did an awesome job on the project, which included intricate tilework, and the craftsmanship is outstanding. We highly recommend AIM for their excellent customer service and work!

AIM Kitchens and Bath was such a lucky find for our home renovation plan. The team had such skill and precision. They were so easy to work with. They completed multiple phases including tile, painting, involving work in three bathrooms, kitchen, pantry, laundry room. The quality of work was always impressive. It was amazed that there was so little disruption to our home during the whole process. Thank you AIM!

We worked with AIM in 2020 and by Thanksgiving, we had 2 beautiful new bathrooms. During the planning and design process, Alex was so knowledgeable, super responsive, and really took the time to listen and make recommendations - the final outcome was everything we had envisioned and more. Our master bath is incredibly beautiful and we finally have the much needed storage space we were looking for. I cannot say enough about the entire crew at AIM as they were incredibly professional and pleasant to work with from start to finish – also, I love that they are a one stop shop. Highly recommended and we would not hesitate to work with AIM again in the future!

We had our master bathroom remodeled by Aim, and they made the process so smooth. Our designer, Caroline, found ways to tie in the cabinetry we were keeping with the new tile and countertops. We would never be able to have made it work without her expertise! It turned out so beautifully.

We loved that everything was done with Aim's professionals. All of the guys, Joe, Ethan, Ben, Huntur, and James were kind and respectful of our house and time. With three kids and two dogs, they worked around our chaos, and we barely noticed them there. The work they did was efficient and so well done!

We loved working with them, and they earned our business for future projects!! Highly recommend!

AIM Kitchen and Bath completed a kitchen remodel for our home. From our designer, Caroline, to our installer, Jake, everyone we worked with was professional, knowledgeable, and caring. My husband and I were both impressed with the team’s attention to detail and craftsmanship throughout the project. They are the best!

If you are willing to wait for quality, AIM is the way to go.

We turned to AIM Kitchen & Bath when our Beaverdale home needed the following: a kitchen and both upstairs and downstairs bathroom remodel. They are amazing! Great communication, really listening to what we dreamed of and needed to create more function and also keeping true to the historic charm of these homes. Everyone on their team worked with upmost integrity, excellence and kindness. They are quick to respond to any questions or issues and always solution-oriented. They collaborate and truly seek to overdeliver when it comes to ensuring that your vision for your home not just comes to life but exceeds all you could have imagined. Would highly recommend AIM for all of your home remodeling needs as they are dependable, trustworthy and deliver with a level of craftmanship & excellence that is unmatched. You truly feel cared for and see the joy they have in what they create! Master craftsmen who are detail oriented and again, just deeply care about the work product and ensuring you are as excited about the outcome. Would love to do more projects with them! Jen Witt

Corey did a great job with demo and installing drywall, heated flooring, shower tile, floor tile, etc. Hunter did a great job with the plumbing for the shower drain and water appurtenances, sinks and toilet.

The AIM team was OUTSTANDING!
Each member was very professional, knowledgeable, extremely skilled, with meticulous attention to detail. They took my 1950’s bathroom and provided a total update! I am very pleased with the service provided! A special shout out to Travis! His work ethics are phenomenal!
His abilities are remarkable!
THANK YOU AIM TEAM!

It's been almost a year since AIM completed a full kitchen and great room remodel for us and we continue to enjoy how it all turned out. The staff was personable and communicative throughout all phases of the process and worked with us to refinish the wood floors when we were out of town. The two carpenters on our project, Jake and Travis, were the best (our dog loved them too). Their attention to detail was top notch and they did a wonderful job cleaning up every day.
We highly recommend them and would use them again in a heartbeat!

AIM was excellent to work with on our basement finish! Great design, attention to detail, timely and professional! We are already looking forward to our next project with AIM!

Exceptional Experience with AIM Kitchen and Bath!

We recently had the pleasure of working with AIM Kitchen and Bath on our main bathroom, and we cannot express enough how impressed we are with their outstanding work and professionalism! From the very beginning, the team showed a commitment to excellence, making the entire process smooth and enjoyable while maintaining complete transparency regarding costs and timelines.
Melissa was exceptional in understanding our vision and offering innovative ideas that truly transformed the space. The entire team kept us regularly updated on their progress, and their attention to detail was truly remarkable.
Together, this team delivered results that surpassed our expectations. We highly recommend Aim Kitchen and Bath to anyone seeking a reliable and skilled team for their renovation needs. Thank you, Brian, Melissa, Eric, James, Hunter, and Ben, for your hard work and dedication!
Five stars all the way!
Alex and Tamrin

The folks at AIM did a great job completely renovating a bathroom for us. Melissa made the design work easy and everything works great together. Aaron did most of the renovation work - many skills and easy to work with. Ben did a very fine job on the electrical work and Huntur is an excellent plumber, along with other skills. Everyone involved was friendly and respectful. Daily cleanup. We're very happy customers and would definitely hire again!

Aim did a complete kitchen remodel for us in the fall of 2020. Our remodel included new cabinets, new appliances, new hardwood flooring on the first floor, stairs, and upstairs hallway, knocking out walls, new drywall, paint, electrical, etc. Alex was great to work with and provided us with a range of cost options and we were able to get exactly what we wanted at a fair price. Aim has an experienced crew that was very detail-oriented and did a meticulous job for us. They didn't require constant monitoring to make sure we got the results we wanted, which was a nice improvement from other contractors we've used in the past. Aim was by far the most positive experience we've had with local contractors over 5 home improvement projects spanning the last 17 years. You can't go wrong by choosing Aim and you'll love the results!

We absolutely love our new kitchen and powder room..... thanks to Aim Kitchen and Bath! A huge shoutout to Caroline, Jake, Ben, Hunter, James, Travis, Aaron, Brian, and Dean! Their craftsmanship, attention to detail, and overall professionalism was top notch! We couldn't be happier with the final outcome!

I had a massive bathroom remodel done, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the design Caroline came up with. I wanted a retro design to go with my 1920 house, so we found the new fixtures, tile, etc. that met my tastes. Once the crew got started I found them to be easy to work with as they were all a bunch of good guys. Answered all of my questions as they went.
The finished bathroom exceeds my expectations. Very pleased!

We LOVE our new kitchen! The designer really listened to our wants/needs during our consultations and came up with a design that was better than wet could have ever imagined. Our remodel involved taking down a wall and moving lots of wires and pipes and the crew at AIM was up for the challenge. They were efficient, friendly, and very respectful of the me, the homeowner, keeping me apprised as things moved along. Every day, they left our home in tip top shape (sometimes cleaner than when they arrived!). I also appreciated that trash was picked up daily, which meant we didn’t have a dumpster sitting in our driveway. Another great thing about Aim is that everything is housed under one roof, including electricity, plumbing, painting, and cabinetry. It was wonderful working with one company vs. multiple sub-contractors. And the best thing? The job was 95% complete in 8 weeks, not the 10 weeks initially quoted. However, in the end I would say the best thing about our experience was everyone we worked with at AIM (especially Caroline, Eric, Jake, Ben, Hunter, James & Brian). You will not find a better group of people - friendly, hardworking, creative and eager to please. We will definitely be calling AIM for future home remodeling projects!

We had AIM out to remodel our upstairs bathroom and bedroom. Our house is a classic Beaverdale Brick 'story and a half', which had a half-bath upstairs with the master bedroom. We spent a little time working out a renovation design with Caroline who was great to work with.

AIM was the prime contractor and gutted most of the room, walled in a new 3/4 bath, replumbed, rewired, sheetrocked, handled flooring, new windows, tiling, etc. They did great work all around, with a lot of attention to detail that will make future changes cleaner.

I really liked that they worked on the project straight through: once they started, they didn't stop until they were done. It did take a little time (these things always do), but every week things were getting done.

Their main construction/install wizard Joe in particular was great. We messed something up when we added our own insulation and he redid it right with no fuss. We'll definitely hire AIM again for our next remodel -- probably our 'old' bathroom. Photos show the before/during/after of the project. The room is much quieter, with quiet floors, more insulation, good quality built-in dressers and a fantastic tile shower.

I contracted AIM to install LVP in the main bedroom, bath, walk in closet and laundry room. They also did a partial bathroom remodel which included removing lots of tile. An Onyx shower was installed. A jetted tub was replaced with a custom vanity. Wallpaper, light fixtures, towel bars, mirrors etc. Melissa was my designer and she was so very helpful and patient. Jason was in charge of the crew and spent the most time working in the house. I don't know what he gets paid but he's awesome and deserves a raise. The project started on time and was finished on budget. They cleaned up any mess every day before they left. They did not disappear for days at a time like other contractors have. Minor changes were accommodated. Minor problems were corrected. Melissa, Jason and the rest of the crew were professional and trustworthy. Everything looks great and the bathroom is much more functional than it was. Thanks to everyone who helped with this project. I would recommend AIM without hesitation.

We had a great experience working with AIM Kitchen & Bath! We got multiple bids from companies around DSM but had the best impression with AIM. We felt listened to throughout the entire process from design to build out. They kept our home clean and usable throughout the process and hauled away all the debris every day so we didn't have to worry about a dumpster in the driveway. They just completed a final walk through yesterday to make sure we were happy with everything after a couple weeks, which is just another way they go above and beyond.

The entire AIM team was wonderful, and we highly recommend them. A couple special shout-outs: We had so much fun working with Melissa! Her ability to solve problems and make recommendations was unmatched; it was like she could read our minds. And Brodie who did the bulk of the remodel—his communication and quality of work were outstanding. And James, who painted, had a great attention to detail. Thanks, AIM! We couldn't be happier with our new bathroom addition, primary bathroom remodel, and kitchen flooring.

We are extremely happy with the decision to hire AIM to replace and repair some items we deemed "builder flaws" in the main living area of our four-year-old home. They re-trimmed & painted our kitchen island to match our cabinets, reconfigured our drop zone and installed more storage, replaced and MAJORLY improved a long banister & spindles at the top of our stairs. Built-in shelves were also sanded and repainted to finally have a smooth finish. Though not a complete remodel, it has made a huge difference in the way we feel about our home! The quality of work and the timeframe in which it was all completed exceeded our expectations and we appreciate the effort put forth by everyone involved in our project- thank you!
