Thomas Handyman did an excellent job repairing and replacing our 30 year old fence this past summer. I cannot speak highly enough about the company and Thomas. He was timely, efficient, hard-working, knowledgeable, and organized. He communicated with us throughout the project and followed through on all he said he would do. He even did a few extra things at no charge with one of the challenging parts of the project because he was conscientious and wanted it to work and look good. Thomas also installed a fence for our son this past summer and did an excellent job, they were extremely pleased with his work as well. Thomas and his company very well deserved five stars from us!

Thomas Handyman replaced my old wooden deck, using new treated lumber. He added a pergola, which makes our deck more usable in the hot summer sun. The workmanship was wonderful and has resulted in a beautiful outdoor space. Several neighbors have decided to do similar projects after viewing the quality of work on my deck. The bid and final costs were the same and the project was completed in a timely manner.

Zach took on a small job he hadn’t done but figured out the best options to complete the task without billing us for the extra time. We discussed a few other projects after it became clear that he had some ideas about completing some other projects I had delayed.

Zach is great. We have used him for multiple fixes around our house, he built our awesome deck and fence and still pass his card around to people.

When a job goes right it's easy to praise the person but a job at our house went wrong and we were still impressed by his honesty, professionalism and integrity.

While digging our fence, Zach hit a power line. He quickly notified us (thank goodness he was working safely and using tools that didn't get him hurt!) as well as the electric company. Zach said that if it was his fault that any fines or charges would not be passed on to us and this is why he is insured. They get the power back up and the job continues. We hear later that there were fines but that he was able to show the ground was improperly marked and he should have been digging in a good spot (so not his fault) and things have been worked out. He was great with us through the process and did not throw blame or give excuses. He took what needed done, finished it, gave us honest answers and then let us know he was taking care of it.

Anyone whose ever had a job go wrong knows how quickly it becomes a nightmare and expense. Zach made sure he was safe, we were taken care of and business was done the right way. Could not be more appreciative.

Second thing that I would tell anyone looking at him for a job is that you will get an honest answer. If he knows he is not the right person for the job, he will tell you.

Had a leak in our upstairs shower. Fixing it required getting into the ceiling of the first floor. He let us know that (a few years ago so maybe he does it now) he does not do ceiling drywall work because he has not learned that craft well enough to make it look the way he would be proud of. He gave us some people we could call and we found someone to come patch it after he repaired it. There is a lot of peace in knowing that he could have charged us, attempted the job and seen if we (homeowners under 30 at the time) would notice. But he didn't. I respect that a lot about him!

When he would have other people on the jobs for us to help him, they were always cheerful and respectful and made us feel comfortable.

Zach is my handyman of choice hands down. He is great to work with and gives every job his all no matter how big or small. He is very responsive and provides me honest advice on how best to proceed with a project.

I have had Zach work on two bathroom remodels in my home in Huxley, and one in Grimes. All of them required demo and new subfloor. He's also replaced front doors, plumbing and flooring. In fact- Zach is my go to guy for everything. I honestly dont like to share him 🤣) . He is honest and hard working. He is always early for his appointments .He even helps me shop at Menards! I needed someone to install new porch lights and garage lights. I saw Zach's sign, and am so pleased with his work. He explained everything, was very professional, very kind, and very reasonable. I look forward to using him for many other jobs. My lights are so pretty and are such an improvement!!

I was so impressed with Zach's work on several small projects that I have hired him to remodel my bathroom. He has been there to advise on product selection and has given suggestions on modifications that will work with my choices. He responds to my texts so I can complete purchases and explains things so that I can understand them. He is available on short notice for small projects and schedules larger projects as time permits. Since my home is coming up on 25 years of age, you can bet that Zach will be my go-to person as repairs are needed.
