I am incredibly frustrated with the cost of the work performed by Tann Electric. Tann came recommended by my property manager as a good electrician who has worked in our building before.
1) Rates were not disclosed prior to the start of work, but as he began the work only. And a rough estimate was not provided before work had commenced, but only when the final bill was presented. I, as the customer, had no idea of even an estimate of the amount that I would be liable for at the end of service.
2) Outlets were left open and unsafe while he went to Home Depot to get new outlets and a switch. He was gone for over 1 hour on the clock for this errand
3) He was taking other calls and helping other technicians and doing other work while was on the clock for the work in my unit. He spent 15 minutes typing up the service order while still on the clock. Also, he was chatty, but the clock was running with such high rates, I would think there would be minimal engagement in communication.
4) He charged more than 3x the cost of the items that were installed in my unit.
5) I am a professional in the industry and regularly review pricing for professional electricians on major commercial construction. I understand what a reasonable rate is and Tann Electric refused to compromise on the bill or take any sort of responsibility.

Tann did a wonderful job from start to finish. Communication was great and their technicians were knowledgeable, professional and easy to work with. They worked well with my schedule, listened to my requests and made sure to be in and out in a single day so we were not without power to our home for more than 2 hours. Overall I was very pleased with their work and professionalism.

Services I had:
Wired and install new 200amp main pannel
New 200amp service disconnect outside
New 100amp sub pannel in basement.
New double grounding rods outside

We had a wonderful, professional experience today with Aaron. He fixed our phone line issues but also gave me his honest, professional opinion on updating our current electrical issues when I asked about them. We really enjoyed that he took the time to take care of our issues and he had a very kind and caring attitude. Thank you so much Tann Electric and Aaron. We definitely will be using Tann again soon to update our other electrical issues.

Tann was very responsive to our requests for an estimate. Due unforeseen changes in contractors, we could not move forward with their bid. I like that I was presented with multiple options to get the job done. I would highly recommend Tann, they are definitely on our preferred vendors list going forward for electrical contractors. A special thanks to Vicky, she ensured all my project related questions were answered.

We had heard great things about Tann. But just became a customer and we were so impressed and pleased. From the first call, to the follow up, to the clean up process… we are just very grateful and will be using Tann moving forward. Travis was awesome.

Juan was awesome!! I'm not aware of average market price for what was done but it seemed a little pricey. Although I was happy with my tech and the services he provided, I won't use Tann next time due to high prices. $200 an hour plus $99 dollar call out fee and at least double on all parts.

We had initially contacted another company to take care of an electrical issue for us. The company that we called did not have anyone on hand that could come out within 24hrs so they recommended Tann Electric. We followed their recommendation and we were very pleased with the service we received. Tann Electric was able to send someone out immediately. The gentleman was able to assess the problem and fixed it. We are extremely happy with the work we received, the timeliness, the professionalism, and the total cost was reasonable. We highly recommend Tann Electric!

After unresponsive electricians caused a week delay in our project, I reached out to Tann on a recommendation. I was immediately scheduled for a visit. Jon arrived when scheduled and took his time to carefully review our project. He met with my remodeler and problem solved. While others might find the pricing high, in my experience the price was in-line with previous work that did not provide promised service. After months of struggling to get our project done mostly due to the electrical, paying a bid toward the upper end and having service the next day is worth it.

We used Tann Electric for the first time today and had a great experience! They were able to provide a same-day appointment and the technician showed up within a couple of hours of my call. Juan was very professional and quickly identified and fixed the issue. I appreciated his thorough explanations of what was wrong as well. I highly recommend Tann, and we will definitely be using them again in the future!

Brian was able to make himself available earlier than expected and called to verify that I would also be available at the earlier time. He arrived when he stated and was very professional and personable. I explained the wiring issue I was having and he was able to identify the root cause and walk me through the resolution in a timely manner in a method that was easy for me to understand. He was absolutely amazing throughout the repair and I was very happy with the work that he did.

The Flow Doctor

Generator went out, I had someone come out to my home. The worker made me feel very uncomfortable and didn't listen to what I wanted, only did what he wanted. After 45 min of diagnosing the issues he told me that I needed 6 items ordered to fix it. One was new hinges that when he opened the door it broke, and previously worked fine. Then mentioned a new generator and control panel, keys, foam, hinges and system maintenance. Then quoted me 2,500 for a full days work. I then told him I only wanted to do the generator and control panel (didn't need the other items unless it started). From there he went and spent 1 entire hour ordering ALL six items when I only requested the 2. Charging me $250 for the entire hour. When I spoke with the manager explaining my terrible experience she said she ordered the control panel. Therefore, he spent one hour ordering one item I requested. They never once offered to refund me. Completely dissatisfied with this company and their business model. Will not be using their services. Complete waist of money, would NOT recommend using this company.

Jason the tech was excellent.
Had GFI recept replaced.
The hourly rate of $232.00 was pricey!
The price of the replacement GFI recept at $89.33 was excessive!

Zander was fantastic. He is very professional and conscientious about his work.

I had Mike and Jason come out to my property and they did an amazing job! Very polite and communicated great. They cleaned up after them selves after all the work they did. They went above and beyond to get the lights back on for my residents and found the issue in a timely fashion. Plan on having them do more electrical work for us in the future. Thanks again guys!!

This is the best electrical supply house in the metro, and they’re essential if you work in service. They keep many things on shelf that other supply houses don’t. Their selection of tools is enormous and very fairly priced. I’ve learned more about electrical equipment and lighting from them than I have from many employers. They really know their business and their customers.
