We did our "Welcome Home" walkthrough with Michael today. He was extremely thorough and patient, as we had many questions.
The entire process went very smoothly. We were given great suggestions along with multiple points of contact should any issue arise after taking puossession.

Also, thanks to Jimmy and Brent who provided warranty and technical updates.

    Many thanks to all!

The best builder in town anyone could ask for. Kudo to Michael Matthews who guide us from the get-go. The Welcome tour is excellent. The details presented is not only thorough but also very helpful in the next few months or years. Thank you to Jimmy and Brent who also presented to answer all the questions we had. All in all, excellent teamwork and quality work are highly appreciated, definitely 5 out of 5 stars.

Poor communication- I was told several things when we signed originally when ordering options that weren’t correct. We wanted every upgrade except the gas stove. Come to find out soft close cabinets were not an included upgrade - but would have been with a $2500 upgrade fee - which I would have GLADLY paid. Instead of standing behind what I was told, I now have to pay a contractor to put soft close cabinets in my “new build.” Even after the builder tore up the first set of cabinets during installation and had to order new cabinets - they would not put in soft close cabinets. It’s seems strange to piss off a customer who is spending $450,000 with you over $2500 soft close cabinets. In my business we would have stood behind what my employee told the customer and ate the $2500. I again would have been happy to pay it. Business integrity is not what it used to be, I guess. Otherwise, the people are very nice. I love the stone fireplace and granite countertops. I will get my frustration out slamming cabinets!

Just started the process of buying a home here. So far, so good. Will updated over the next several months and into the first year of ownership.

Update: Arise Homes builds beautiful, all-brick, one-level homes but buyers should proceed carefully.

The design and layout of these homes are genuinely attractive, and it’s rare to find one-level, all-brick homes in this area. They’re especially appealing for downsizing, and the limited design options actually helped simplify the process for us. The neighborhood itself also has strong potential, with many homeowners who care about their properties and community.

That said, communication and execution are major issues with Arise Homes.

During the contract phase, communication feels reassuring, but important details are often glossed over or not fully explained. Promised updates throughout the home-building process are inconsistent, and we frequently had to track down the construction manager just to understand what was happening.

Once problems arise whether during construction or after closing communication slows dramatically or stops altogether. Escalating concerns to leadership is not possible, and the company operates in a rigid, top-down manner.

Quality control is another concern. While the homes may meet city code, the final workmanship does not match the “exceptional” standard advertised. Many homeowners are dealing with long punch lists and waiting months for repairs or completion after closing.

It feels like Arise Homes prioritizes getting buyers to closing, then addresses issues later if at all. Important advice to future buyers: get everything completed before closing and pay for a professional inspection, even if it delays the process.

Bottom line: These homes have real potential, but Arise Homes needs to significantly improve communication, execution, and post-closing follow-through. Buyers should go in with eyes wide open.
