I’m new to the area and recently reached out to this company for a quote on lawn fertilization and over-seeding. The pricing I received was absolutely outrageous. They quoted me $1,500 for just 50 lbs of grass seed — and to be clear, that was only to drop the seed on the lawn, with no labor. Aeration, which is typically part of any standard over-seeding service, was quoted separately at another $500. That’s $2,000 total for a job that’s commonly done for far less.

Being unfamiliar with local pricing, I also got quotes from three other seemingly established and reputable landscaping companies, and all of them came in at two to three times less expensive — and that included complete packages with aeration, seed, and fertilization.

I contacted the company’s office to ask for clarification, hoping there was some misunderstanding, but was met with complete apathy. No response, no explanation — just silence. That kind of indifference says a lot, especially to someone new to the area who’s trying to find honest, professional service providers.

After speaking with my neighbor, he mentioned that most of the homeowner associations that used MW Lawn have since dropped them due to sloppy work and poor service. That confirmed everything I had already started to suspect — overpriced, unresponsive, and a reputation that’s clearly deteriorating.

Bottom line: This company is either deliberately overcharging or completely out of touch with industry standards — or both. I won’t be hiring them, and I strongly urge anyone considering them to get multiple quotes and ask around. There are far better, more reputable, and reasonably priced options in the area.

I am a new customer to MW Lawn. Before my first treatment, I was able to meet my dedicated lawn tech and review problem areas and align on lawncare management.

We had significant issues with my lawn dying in spots and was unable to grow grass where a diseased mature tree had to come down. After getting 3 estimates, MW was slightly less than the other guys, but went with them more because of Matt who had a much more of a consultative approach than the other guys' reps. Overall, I'm pleased with the lawn renovation and have contracted them to finish out the year. Before and after photos of a section of my lawn are attached and they speak for themselves.

Have been super happy using MW after having them fix what my old mowing company had done to my lawn putting big ruts in it and leaving bare patches constantly. Irrigation, maintenance, mowing, all have been great. Jay Huke in particular and Blaine York (irrigation) have both been fabulous. Highly recommend.

The entire team that takes care of my home is very professional and detail oriented. Very dedicated to their profession. Highly recommend them for your landscaping and pest control needs.

I called for an appointment to get a quote on installing irrigation systems. First thing that came out of c/s mouth was " just to let you know its runs about 4-5 thousand dollars." Nobody has been at my house yet!

I called Heritage mid March to have someone come out and aerate my yard, it is now mid May. I have called multiple times over the past two months and always get the same answer that "you are scheduled for a few days from now". After seeing all these "scheduled" dates come and go with no courtesy call, I finally decided to cancel.

I have used Heritage for many years and can say unequivocally they always do an outstanding job!!! In last 35 years I have had many others and to find such performance in an irrigation company IS AMAZING!!

Alex was very professional and explained sprinkler system and also ensured it was optimized for keeping our lawn in the best condition. Glad to have piece of mind with Heritage Lawn and Irrigation.

Chris called to tell me he would be a few minutes late, which I really appreciated. After arrival in tested my irrigation system and followed that up with an explanation of what he did and what he found wrong. I can't ask for more. Great job Chris.
