They canceled a few weeks ago because someone was sick and now are at my house with no face mask. When I asked him if he needed a mask he said no I have some in the truck. I called Dave and he said if you want him to wear a mask I can tell him.
It’s September 4th and we are in the red zone with a indefinite mask requirement in Kansas City Kansas and Missouri.
Dangerous and unprofessional.

Dave Maxwell's is the best service around...!!! Called at 8 PM to schedule an appointment at 9 AM the next morning. Showed up on time and problem was fixed faster than expected... Dave is good but Zach rules...!!!

Tech came on a Sunday and was unable to repair do to needed parts. The tech tried very hard to bypass the part needed so we could get our AC on. I very much appreciated his efforts as I am almost 40 weeks pregnant. They were back out ASAP on Monday. Pleased with their work as well as pricing. They even let me borrow their eclipse glasses to take a look before they left! :)

I've used this in the past to do installs. Maxwell charged me $3300 to send two underlings to replace my condensor and air handler no duct work. They were there about five hours. That's over $600/ hour!! One of the workers was just learning......on my install! I thought that Maxwell would do the work himself or at least inspect it. In fact he didn't even pull a permit although he had more than two weeks to do so. He also never scheduled an inspection with the County because he didn't want them to know that he'd done the work without a permit. His assistant left the invoice for the equipment behind. When I called Maxwell to complain about the exorbitant price for the install he had a bunch of lame excuses. His first words when I told him that I thought that $3300 to have two assistants perform the work was ridiculous was "how did I know how much the eqiipment cost. " I guess he didn't want me to know the cost of the equipment and now I know why. After I called him out on the lack of a permit he hurried down to Planning to pull a permit and then tried to hide from me the fact that he got the permit after the work was performed. I will never use this company again.

I called Sunday morning and he was at my house within 30 mins, had the parts I needed in his truck, and completed the job in less than 2 hours. Before he left he also did some quick preventive maintenance and work and inspection of the system that was above and beyond what was expected. All of this for almost $250 less than I paid for the same service 4 years ago from another company. Great family business!

Responsive and honest! We’ve used Dave Maxwell’s Heating and Cooling several times over the years and have referred him to others as well. They have always come right away and I feel they have always done quality work at a fair price. I’ve never felt they recommended unnecessary work. Great to work with!

Dave Maxwell first came to my home referred by a close friend to do a summer AC check-up. He said he was going to clean the system out. I had never seen this before! He took out this big huge drum ring out of the unit, it was all black and filthy. He used an outside hose and some spray cleaner and when he was finished the big round drum part was all shiny, bright, and clean. He reinstalled it back in the AC unit and he said to me "that usually doesn't get cleaned." WOW I thought to myself. I have never seen that performed on any of my systems I've owned in my lifetime. I have never seen that! It was really great that Dave helped my existing furnace/AC unit last another 7 years to make 23 years on that system before retiring it to the H/VAC city cemetery.
I had 4 companies come to my home and give me information and bids on a new H/VAC system, humidifier, air cleaning package. Three companies didn't give the information and knowledge that Dave gave me to make a good informed decision. The other companies did not discuss needing anything additional, nor were they informative as Dave.
Dave Maxwell educated and informed me with options of what my home really needed to function and be energy and cost efficient. All the while, knowing that I must have a clean and dust free home that I require, living 1 block West off of Metcalf Avenue. He put in exactly what I needed. I purchased an American Standard 17 seer AC 2 stage and a 95% 2 stage furnace, humidifier and whole house air cleaning system. Dave added more duct work. He added a new bigger drop coming down from the duct work that I actually needed on the existing system. He put in another return air vent in the wood flooring in a great place. And the vents and pipes vented to the outside are installed so professionally. My hot water tank is now vented correctly. At the same time, I was able to clean my own duct work out nicely for a fresh start. When Dave and the crew were finished with my install, my basement was cleaner than before they came and I had the heartfelt knowingness that the job was done Professionally with knowledge, safety, and correctness.
Dave has my service contract on my unit twice a year to come out and check out my system. There is so much trust in his company he has the key code to come inside my home if I am not there, for him to work and do service.

Dave is very professional and has serviced my heating/cooling system several times. I would highly recommend him and his team. They are knowledgable and very friendly and helpful. You can count on Dave to be honest and to get the job done even in older more difficult houses like mine.

I have used Dave Maxwell’s HVAC services at three different properties. One was a full new installation of HVAC system, another was temporarily removing a system for foundation repair—then reinstalling and adding basement ducting, the third was for humidifier on a new construction house. His service is top quality and rates were very fair. I absolutely offer my unconditional recommendation and will continue to use Dave Maxwell in the future.

2 years ago during a mid July heat wave my air conditioner quit working. I contacted Dave Maxwell's Heating & Cooling. A technician was sent out the same evening. He was able to diagnose the problem and repair it the same day. The pricing was considerably less than I expected. I was so impressed with the quality and efficiency of their work, I currently have them coming out every spring and fall to do preventative maintenance on my a/c and furnace. All of Dave Maxwell's Heating & Cooling technicians are well qualified, professional and very thorough. I highly recommend this company for all your heating and cooling needs.

Dave Maxwell put in a new Furnace on Dec 23, 2020. Dave was extremely responsive, and very knowledgeable. He made a special accommodation to install the system quickly, he was on-time, and everything was seamless. My new furnace now has better air flow through the house, and it's making our house feel more comfortable.
Dave's quote was the lowest price among 4 bids. And on top of that, the new system he installed is actually better than the other systems I was quoted because Dave put in a 2-stage (American Standard was running a special deal), whereas the others were single-stage. One Company told me it would cost an extra $750 to upgrade from a 1 to 2-stage system. I would highly recommend Dave to anyone. As far as other folks on here who complained about mask wearing - Dave and his son both had masks with them, and both wore those in the house. I had absolutely no issue whatsoever about mask wearing.

My furnace was 26 year old. A.B. May came by and said it was rusting in places, and there might be a crack in the heat exchanger. However, AB May wouldn't cover me for a new unit because their contract's fine print will not cover a system over 20 years old, even though i'd been paying them insurance/service dollars for 10 years... When I then asked how much a new unit would cost, the AB May guy quoted me $5,000. That was the last straw for me. At that point, I cancelled my service contract with AB May, and went out for bids. I'm extremely happy that I did, and that a friend recommended Dave Maxwell!

My brother in law was our maintenence
Guy, but has retired. So Comfort Design was the next best choice. Called, was out in just a few hours. Scott was punctual, professional and very pleasant to work with. He explained every Step, the cost and what the problem was. Very happy with the work. Will be our first call from now on.

Our AC went out on a very hot day and Comfort Designs responded quickly and had us back up and running in no time!! Our tech was professional and friendly! Price for repair was also reasonable. Thank you so much!!

We had our heat pump and blower unit replaced this year and Comfort Designs did a great job. Great local service, honest and no bs. Every service tech that's been over for either the installation or the semi annual checkup has been professional, knowledgeable, and takes the time to talk through what they see and what they are doing. highly recommend

My furnace went out on me yesterday and today I have a brand new furnace installed and working great! Super fast service which is a blessing in the middle of January! Really friendly and professional technicians made for a great experience. I very highly recommend Comfort Designs and would never consider going to anyone else.

I was so grateful to have found not only a company who would come out to my house at 7pm but not charge an arm and a leg to do it. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I truly appreciate everything Casey and Ryan did for me after coming home to a house that was 85 degrees! Ryan was so kind and explained everything he was doing and took extra care to make sure it was running correctly before leaving. After checking with multiple businesses, Comfort Designs was the best choice. They were quick and efficient with their work. We've had our system for a couple of years and they're always great when they come perform yearly maintenance. We've had zero issues with their work or our new system.
