Zach did a great job explaining how he was trouble shooting the issues and was able to get the air conditioner up and running.

My heat went out and Rechtin’s crew was at my house the next day. The two gentleman that fixed my furnace had my heat working in less than an hour! They even showed me a hack for fixing my furnace if the same problem happens again in the future. The house call was super affordable compared to other places. Can’t recommend them enough!

What started out as a simple Thermostat issue (switching from old to digital - wiring problem) I scheduled a maintenance call to have someone come over and take a look. Enter John, who figured out the issue right away but had some bad news in regards to the humidifier no longer working and the fan motor belt was about to break. Curious, I asked him to call a sales rep to price me out on replacing this vintage 1940's Williamson monster, that was taking up a great deal of space in the basement. Jerry Class called and was on his way down! Full inspection of the existing furnace, AC, all register's in the house and size of all rooms - will get you a quote by next day, thank you! 3 quotes recv'd on different unit's.

However, a couple of days later, my thermostat was buzzing, offline and a weird sound was coming from the fan/motor. Another call to TR and Mike showed up, this time he had even worse news as the motor was on it's way out (it had been 18 yrs since we had a replacement put in) and the motor was no longer available, was hard to find and expensive. Mike also did a full inspection due to the area being very hot and humid and we discovered that the vent to the outside was clogged, thus allowing a backup of carbon monoxide back into the house as well as the humidity level was sky high. Mike took the time to clean out the chimney area for the vent and within 30 minutes, the humidity lifted and the temperature fell. He also ran to the house or shop, and found us a temporary motor to use for a few days or until the install could start. Thank you Mike for taking the extra time and possibly saving our lives with the carbon
monoxide issue! Above and Beyond the call of duty!!!

This also confirmed the deal to go ahead and replace the furnace and AC.
Since the "beast" had to be manually dismantled, we were told ahead of time that we would be without heat for 2 days but they would work fast to get everything going asap, including offering up space heaters for us to use.

The install guys (sorry their names escape me) were professional, clean and the communication was excellent. They were very respectful (as my wife works from home) and were very detailed and to the point of running us through the use of the furnace, thermostat and all other things furnace related.

I can't recommend Tom Rechtin enough and look forward to doing business with them in the future.

I emailed Steve Huddleston at 10:30 pm as I thought my AC was shot and I was going to have to purchase a new one. Steve had service contact me the next morning and my AC was up and running before 4:00 pm. The service team was able to repair my AC without me having to purchase a new one. Very professional, honest, and knowledgeable service team and a very prompt turn around time. I would highly recommend Tom Rechtin Heating & Air Conditioning Company.

In August 2011 I purchased a Carrier Infinity Hybrid System from Rechtin. I have never had a contractor do an installation as professionally perfect as this one. These folks went above and beyond to ensure the system was installed to perfection. Since then, Rechtin has performed all the annual inspections and needed repairs (Very little if any). Most of the inspections have been performed by Tim an excellent technician. I'll be sorry to see him go as he is retiring this year (2017). The Carrier system will have to carry-on w/o Tim, but I am certain I'll be in good hands with Rechtin for the life of this unit. I highly recommend Rechtin Heating & Air Conditioning as your lifetime HVAC supplier and contractor. It is mine.

Would be a zero if possible. I live 4 blocks from their office. Called to have freon added to unit. Thought a tech could swing by coming or going from the office. A 15 minute service to add some freon. Wouldn't give me an approximate time to service unit. Said they would call 30 min. pror to arrival. The day went by no call no service. Called the next morning still no schedule of a time. Seems they have customers with warranty plans and they come first. If you don't have a warranty plan you just keep dropping down the list until all warranty customer's are serviced first. Don't bother calling if you don't have a warranty with them.

Kevin was, hands down, the most delightful HVAC technician I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. My initial request was acknowledged and repaired in less than 24 hours. I expected a big bill for such timely and efficient work, but the total came to far less than I expected.

I was referred to this company by a new acquaintance who says they're the only HVAC company she uses. I am happy to join the club!

I'm a little late writing this review, but they really helped on short notice, fixed it quickly and at a reasonable price. A friend had recommended another local company they kept stringing me along for over a week. Finally my AC completely stopped cooling during a heat wave and Rechtin had someone working nearby and was able to get to me the next day. He was on time and professional. I needed a new compressor and some minor maintenance. It was still under warranty so didn't have to pay for the part. Only for the service. Happy to find a reliable local business and their family has a long line of history here.

Last week Rectin Heating and Air installed a new furnace and air conditioning unit. The installers and technicians were professional and efficient. They explained everything clearly and, cleaned up afterwards. We've had work done by them in the past and have been completely pleased! We recommend this company to anyone!

I highly recommend Rechtin Heating & Air. I am always very hesitant to call places to get big things repaired in my home, because I fear being overcharged. Rechtin gave me a price that was very reasonable. Rechtin's servicemen and salesperson were very pleasant to deal with. I don't leave reviews often, but they surely deserve a good one. They do not stand behind their work. Paid them more than $50,000 their employees failed to properly install my geo thermal unit. They did not cut the service tag which result in me having electric bills surpassing $1500 per month. Although I was promised a year warranty I was then sent an invoice for $1152. They think than can just rip off consumers. I’m certain that if I was not black my experience would have been much different.

Rechtin is the HVAC go to. They truly care about the people they serve and I really appreciate that. A lot of love to Zach and Dave!!!

I called Rechtin at 1pm and female informs technician will call me 15 minutes before arrival. At 4pm no call. I noticed they close at 5pm. I called and Dave Rechtin took my call. I politely inquired if anyone is coming today and he said no. I asked why didn’t the lady earlier today tell me that Rechtin couldn’t provide service to me today. Dave told me they were busy today and that some called in sick. I told him that is not my problem. My furnace is not working properly and I could have called a dozen other outfits for furnace repair. Dave said he could have the night technician come or come on Saturday. I asked if I would I would be charged extra for weekend service and he said YES! I told him that I have been using Rechtin for over 20 years and this is the service I get? I told Dave that I’m done with them and I will find another service. The only reply Dave provided, “I’m sorry you feel that way.” Oh, thanks Rechtin for your empathy! Not the family business they use to be!

We've been using Rechtin since we bought our home 10+ years ago. They do our regular HVAC maintenance, and have also done some repairs and replaced a furnace for us over the years. Their techs are always friendly and thorough, and have never tried to push anything on us that was not needed. Scheduling is easy and they come when they say they'll come, and work quietly and efficiently. We're happy long-time customers!

I've been working with Rechtin for over 20 years, and they have never let me down. Had a service call today for A/C that wasn't up to snuff. Less than 24 hours from call to appointment, the tech dealt with a few small issues and suggested cleaning the condenser coils. The whole bill was $129.

The guys work hard and the office staff is super friendly. I had an issue over the weekend. The on call guy, Dave, came out and diagnosed it as a shot compressor. By Monday, I had an estimate and by Tuesday morning the compressor was being replaced. Kevin, my usual service tech, is always great and helpful. I recommend this company with no reservations!!

Zach came within the time frame of my appointment. He was friendly , courteous, and professional . Zach explained everything he did and sent us a pdf file of his work.

I purchased the annual maintenance contract and just had the spring maintenance done. I received a call that the technician, Zach, was on the way, then he arrived exactly at the time scheduled. He performed the spring maintenance by checking electrical connections, cleaning the outdoor condenser coil, etc. Zach reviewed the work he completed and the plan for ensuring my HVAC is in great working conditions for years to come. I was very pleased with this experience.

I wish all my home service contractors were like Tom Rechtin Heating and Air. Dave the service manager made sure Zach the actual service rep showed up for the time I requested. Zach was very proactive in answering all my questions in regards to my AC and Furnace. Zach was friendly yet professional as I in addition to having my AC spring service check up I had an Ecobee thermostat installed by Zach. Zach was patient explaining how the thermostat controls worked which I appreciated as I'm technically challenged. I would recommend Zach or any of the service reps to anyone. I've been with Tom Rechtin for a number of years and all the service reps are proactive like Zach. Also like Dave Mandy and Hannah are great to work with in scheduling appointments.

I already use Tom Rechtin but today I was stuck in some of the crazy snow we have and one of their employees came over and helped dig me out. A very kind act that he didn’t have to do. Very nice some one is still going out of their way to help strangers.

Worked with Zach on my HVAC service - he did a great job explaining what he did in order to get things working properly again today. We also talked through the 'pros' of the service contract, which by signing up for, I avoided line-item charges that I would've incurred otherwise, and now I'm also set for spring and fall maintenance. Greatly appreciated!
