Water Damage Restoration reviews in Florence, Kentucky

This is one BAD BAD company! Stay away from them! All they try to do is screw you as much as possible! It’s a shame I can’t give them no stars at all, because they don’t deserve any! We had a tornado coming through our house in Loveland two years ago where the roof was lifted up and the water was coming in to our family room for two years, destroying the ceiling and the side drywall. The insurance recommended we use this company!
They paid for the roof and the inside work!
These people came over , we had an agreement to fix the roof and remove the affected rotten drywall, and paint it! They chose to cut corners and slap some mud over without removing the rotten drywall! After a few days it was all cracking up! We had tons of fights and arguments ! The insurance paid them almost $3500 more do the job right! They came back after 5 months and only did half of the job! They are big scammers! Now I wonder if they fixed the roof right!JUST STAY AWAY!!!!! -
1st Call Disaster Services mitigation and repair teams have been extremely helpful. My brother Steven who is hearing and sight impaired and is in his late 70's had a leak in his apartment kitchen sink. I am located ~200 miles/ 3 hr drive from Steve. When I called State Farm for a recommendation of who to call to make sure the water leak was stopped 1st Call was one of the names they gave me. Chris was extremely responsive and got there within about a half hour and the mitigation guys including Clint Jesse, AJ, Brian, and Kevin were very helpful in getting the apartment dried out. They were all extremly good at communicating and patiently worked with my brother despite his hearing and sight impairments, I would strongly recommend 1st Call!

Clint, AJ, Brennan and Jonah were very thorough and conscientious in their work to dry out our basement after a hot water heater leak.

When water flooded through a bathroom into our basement on the day after Christmas, we had water damage to flooring and drywall and carpeting. I called my insurance who called in First Call and I rushed home from work - Clint and Brian were already there! They quickly brought in equipment and folks to remove any affected materials and to clean up and dry up the water damage. In the next few days Jesse, AJ and Kevin also showed up. The team moved everything out of the affected area, pulled up flooring and carpeting and brought in fans and dehumidifiers. They were all very patient and spent the time to explain everything they were doing and answer any questions I had- Clint and Jesse and Brian in particular! An incredibly professional team who put us at ease that everything will be okay.

I can’t say enough great things about our 1st Call Disaster Services team. We had a sewer backup 3 days into living in our new home. Clint responded within an hour late on a Sunday night. He worked until the entire mess was cleaned and came back with his team, Kevin, AJ, Ethan, Aaron, Jesse, & Gavin every day to decontaminate and demo, setup dehumidifiers, and test for wetness.
We received such care from the team. They weren’t just excellent at their job, they were excellent at customer service too.
If you ever find yourself in need of services during and after an emergency in your home, Clint & the 1st Call Disaster team will take great care of you. -
Called them out on Saturday the day after a storm. I informed them my sump had failed they told me someone would be out. Someone arrived late in the Evening did the absolute bare minimum to extract water left it so soaked the water would shoot upwards. I told them the house was under contract and it was imperative we get this going ASAP, I was told someone would be back the next day and we’ll after calling several time the first of many conversations where information was not passed along. Poor communication said my “carpet was delaminating”. Just a constant of poor communication with Alan mostly the division supervisor but as I found out later calls were hardly returned unless you put in a massive effort.
Basically you should really get pricing don’t just rely on the “first call” call around and get pricing there will be add ons and a $9300 bill for carpet and some baseboards isn’t worth it with their service because no one communicates. I pride myself on not leaving reviews in negative fashion but after my experience in my time Of need I will gladly leave this review -
1st Disaster Company is an excellent company to work with. Clint, Jesse, AJ, and Brian were incredibly helpful, organized, and responsible in keeping me informed about the situation at my house. They went above and beyond to ensure that my needs were met during the repair process. I highly recommend them.

1st Call was wonderful to work with! They responded quickly when we discovered we had water leaking from our refrigerator. They quickly set up equipment to get everything dry and took care to make sure the equipment wasn’t disruptive to our daily lives. Clint, Brian, AJ, Brennan, and Conner were efficient and respectful. We appreciate their hard work!

We had a water leak in our kitchen. We had a different company come and do "remediation". After speaking with Aaron from 1st call, we quickly realized what a poor job they did. We were over charged and they left us with moisture still in the floors and cabinets. Aaron came out and assessed the situation, contacted the insurance company and got approval to do the job correctly. Aaron and Jesse arrived shortly after and did a wonderful job. They pulled up flooring, took out cabinets and left a very quiet dehumidifier for a day. They worked quickly and efficiently. They were friendly and talked us through the entire process. They also did a great job cleaning up after they were done. We are waiting for reconstruction quotes but I can't say enough about how great Aaron and Jesse were. Thank you

After a botched dishwasher installation flooded my kitchen, Clint and the team at 1st Call Disaster Services—AJ, Jesse, Brian, and Jeremy—arrived promptly after receiving the call for help. I cannot emphasize enough how great they were. They managed my frustration with ease and understanding. Clint was very informative and answered all of my questions with tremendous patience. I was actually sad to see them go once their work was completed! Thank you all for making my stressful situation a little easier to handle. You guys are amazing!

1st Call Disaster Services answered the call at our home Memorial Day weekend. A faulty water supply line soaked our basement living space and jeopardized all contents in it. After reaching out to 1st Call on a Saturday they had Clint dispatched within the hour. Clint was on time, thorough and clean. He got our basement dried out in quick order. Very happy with their work and timelessness.

Returned home from a trip and was met with a partially flooded basement when our water heater pressure relief valve failed. We were referred to 1st call by our insurance for water mitigation and the soon to be set up restoration work.
AJ and Brennan did a great job with water mitigation. They took care of some demo, removed wet damaged flooring and drywall, and set up the equipment to start the drying process. They came back each day to check the moisture levels until things were dry and the equipment could be removed. They were prompt and communicated with us each day to make sure someone would be home when they arrived to check on things.
If the restoration side of this project goes just as smoothly as this step in the process I'll be totally satisfied. -
Absolutely terrible experience with 1st Call Disaster Services. I regret ever trusting them after my insurance referred them. Here's why:
- They promised an estimate within 48 hours after a full inspection on March 31 — it took over 2 months, with no communication or explanation. All attempted communication regarding updates was strictly initiated by me.
- After the claim was officially closed due to being less than deductible (2 months after their inspection), they came to my house without notice or anyone being home, removed a shingle from a completely different part of the roof (second story instead of main level), and left a tarp that caused more damage. They claimed they needed to send it to the lab to find a match. Again, very confusing to hear as a customer whose claim has been closed to see this happen, especially when I discovered the tarp on my own coming home to it without any expectation of this work. They give you the expectations form which clearly states that communication/change of scope will be provided - none of that has happened.
- Chris Stallings himself promised they would never show up unannounced again, but they violated that too — a man that I later demanded to introduce himself (Michael) showed up climbing my roof while I was home alone with my 5-year-old daughter. No call, no heads-up, and clear disregard for basic decency.
- The customer representatives that you get to by calling the main number have been exceptionally rude, condescending, and discriminatory on the phone — sighing, hanging up, and questioning my level of intelligence by telling me I do not understand how things work - the confusion was brought by dishonesty of their personnel to myself and my husband, not my lack of intelligence. My issues and frustration were and are still very well granted but I received no support.
- They lied about pricing, then later threatened collections for a bill I never agreed to and that wasn't disclosed in any documents I signed.
- Most shocking: they admitted to my insurance that they had no reason to remove the shingle from the second story (where there was no damage) and caused new damage, including puncturing my roof with green pins and leaving them scattered in my yard — where my child walks barefoot.
- They told insurance they would come fix it (with the prior notice and other expectations I have imposed) — that was two weeks ago. I was never contacted, even though insurance followed up and told me they were supposed to call me.
This kind of incompetence, dishonesty, and negligence tells you everything you need to know about this company. Stay away. -
1st call did an amazing job with tearing out damaged material in our new condo! AJ, Brennen, Clint and Jonah were extremely professional, thorough and helpful throughout the entire process!

We recently experienced damage to our beautiful home both inside and out due to a car accident. Our insurance supplied 1st Call Disaster Services and gave us Chris Stallings as our project manager. He came to our home and explained the repair process which included brick masons(shout out to Krallman Masonry) ,carpenters, painters, and drywall professionals. We were provided amazing detailed and thorough final cleaning at the end
of the project by Sam and Arianna. Our home looks better than it did before the wreck and we're very grateful to Ist Call and Chris for being there for us during this time. -
When my cat discovered our touch-activated faucet (and his supervillain potential), water ended up everywhere but the sink. Thankfully, Clint, AJ, Brian, and Brennan from First Call came to the rescue. They calmly dried out my engineered hardwood floors and explained the entire process, all while reassuring me that not even a mischievous cat could overcome their expertise. Quick, professional, and friendly—these guys truly saved the day!

The 1st Call Disaster Service team was professional, thorough, and incredibly helpful during a very stressful time. Brennan, AJ, and Jonah went above and beyond to make sure our water mitigation was handled correctly.
They arrived promptly, explained every step of the process in detail, and took the time to answer all of our questions. Their professionalism and friendliness immediately put us at ease, and it was clear they genuinely cared about making sure everything was dried out properly. The work was done efficiently and thoroughly, and they made sure nothing was overlooked. -
1st Call Disaster Services starting on process soon.
Our house has not been remodeled due to Mortgage Company kept holding up the checks, from homeowners insurance. Our flooded house is finally ready to be restored. Yes 🖐️ -
Terrible company. If I could give 0 I would. Recommended from my insurance for a repair on my siding which happened in March. I signed a contract for them to fix it in June. Its now December and it is still not fixed. Every time I call I'm told I cancelled the service which never happened. They tell me they will call me back and they never do. Been doing this ad nasuem for 6 months and I finally got fed up when more wind came and did more damage to my house to their inaction. Do not waste your time or money with this company.
