Heavy rain last week overwhelmed our drain and sump pump causing quite a bit of water to come into our basement. Devin from Paul Davis came right away to check the damage. Lucky for us it was nothing an industrial dehumidifier and fans could not tackle. I very much appreciate Devin's quick response, knowledge and action in getting us back to normal.

After a devastating house fire, our insurance adjuster suggested that we use Paul Davis Restoration for our rebuild. After a pleasant meeting with their representative, we decided to move forward with their content and restoration services. Soon after, we met our project manager, Elliott. From hiring contractors to working with insurance to handling permits, he worked efficiently and always kept us in the loop. He was always professional, yet personable, making communication easy and timely. We trusted Elliott’s opinions and expertise, and he built our dream home! He never hesitated to jump in and help where needed, or take on projects himself to make our vision come to life. We will forever be grateful for the experience that we have had with Elliott and Paul Davis Restoration!

My husband Graham is in the client database. Unfortunately, this has been a terrible experience. Our insurance recommended your company for restoration after water damage from a leaking toilet. We were told this should be a quick and easy project. They began work at the beginning of December 2024. They started with drying, then repainting. The first day they came out to paint they had decided to rip up all the carpet on the stairs, hallway, and bedroom. Which this was fine with us - assuming that the carpet would be installed later that week. With them ripping up the carpet, they left hundreds and hundreds of exposed nails on the staircase leading upstairs, in the hallway and in the bedroom. Our house was left in this condition (a rather neglectful condition) for OVER 2 MONTHS due to “measurement issues” and “order issues” and “no contractor available issues” with the carpet. Finally, after blowing up the project manager, the carpet was installed on February 22nd of 2025. While this was all going on, there was another claim filed and approved to replace the carpet in another room that had water damage. We were waiting and waiting to hear back as to when this carpet would be installed which we were told it should be in no time, and the order for the carpet was placed. After weeks of waiting again, we finally reached out to the project manager in which we got a reply that they no longer even work at the company? We were frustrated and disappointed that no one at Paul Davis took the initiative to take over the project or at least even contact us. There was absolutely no communication of next steps or that our project manager has even left the company in the middle of our project? It took US reaching out to you all to finish a project that has already been paid for. Since then, we have yet again been waiting on a call from you guys to let us know what is going on and when the project will be completed.

Paul Davis was recommend by Allstate to fix water damage from the upstairs master that damaged the kitchen also ceiling below the master bath. This happened May 2024 and is STILL not completed. My mom is elderly and for over a year has not had a working kitchen, no stove, countertops, cabinets, or running water in the kicthen.Between the insurance company and Paul Davis, it took over 6 months to get the cabinets ordered. This was now January 2025. I stepped in to help my mom, as the project was not moving along.
My mom tried multiple times get answers for months. The communication at first was fairly good between myself and Matt, project manager. Cabinets got ordered and told the would be in March 17th, 2025 and demo March 3rd. After that week went by with no word from Matt, I called and text him for answers. Was told cabinets now will be in 3/24. My mom had a medical emergency and I had to fly back to OH.Informed Matt that they had 2wks while she was in rehab to get the kitchen done.During this whole time, with the massive stress of my mom's health, I had to constantly call and text Matt for updates and when the workers would be there.Either got no response or a response days later. When I was there they had to move the refrigerator back into the kitchen, all the sudden told the water line was broken and had to be fixed. All this time it was never brought to mine or my mom's attention. I could not prove that they broke it when they moved the refrigerator. Matt said he would see if he had someone to fix it and would call me back. No communication if someone was coming and then an hr. later, Romeo showed up and was told he needed to fix the leak. I asked how much, was told $100-$200. He was there 1/2hr and he told me it was $650! I was in shock and pissed but paid him and would discuss with Matt, project manager. I insisted that Romeo give me a detailed receipt as to the work done. I repeatedly asked Matt, Romeo and Chris,Manager many times for a detailed receipt. It was never produced.I was told by Chris, that his charges were for"after hrs", "on his own time"Romeo NEVER mentioned this to me. I'm a smart person and knew he was taking advantage of the situation. I contacted Matt and was told it was for a couple of other things but still should not has amounted to $650. I let Matt know I thought his worker took advantage of me, Matt said immediately, "to find someone else to complete the project." At this point I was beyond angry, upset and felt like they were being very disrespectful. My brother stepped in,called Chris, spoke with him and got him to agree to complete the kitchen. I called and emailed Chris at this point since I was getting little to no communication from Matt. There were multiple things that still had to be finished, repeatedly called and emailed Chris to ask when this would be completed. Never got a straight answer. My mom and I were done giving them chances. I let Chris know I was done playing their games and fired them in May 2025! Told him they needed to finish the projects they didn't complete and be done.Sporadically got an answer from texts, calls or was told they'd be out this day, they never showed and was given an excuse why they'd be there another day. No communication for weeks as to when they would come out to fix the many issues they left undone. My mom was beyond upset and stressed her kitchen was still not done after year and both of us stressed that we are being treated this way. I sent Chris an email that they had 2 days to complete the project. NO answer back a wk later sent anther and no response back. Several wks later, June 6th, Matt went to my moms to fix the multiple issues not completed. He got mad my mom told him to fix the bent sink drains they damaged, said he was done and walked out. My mom called me in tears, Matt refused to talk to me,was laughing as he walked out the door. I was furious, called Chris, identified myself and he hung up on me. Not one person has reached out to discuss all these issues.
DO NOT HIRE PAUL DAVIS-Save yourself the stress, money and heartache.

The mold came on very suddenly due to excessive humidity and was resolved in an extremely quick manner. Their attention to details was awesome. Richard, Ray & Devin never dismissed any of my questions and had wonderful suggestions to help prevent this from occurring again. Richard was so attentive to my concerns. After having water damage cleaned up due to both an overflowing toilet on the upper level of our house and a tile shower on the lower level, we called Paul Davis Restoration to repair damage. PDR worked with our insurance company to put in wood studs and drywall between the downstairs bathroom and the utility room, plus paint the bathroom walls, install new flooring and pvc baseboard, a new vanity with a sink and faucet, and, most importantly, a new fiberglass shower.
Lindsay was very helpful in managing the project. She and I thoroughly discussed at her initial visit the repairs to be made. She also provided samples of colors of both paint and flooring for me to choose from.
Lindsay’s crew went the extra mile to ensure that the new fiberglass shower would fit in space where the old tile shower was. They extended part of the wall 3 inches into the utility room and repositioned the drain and the pipes to align everything with the new shower.
Lindsay came over to check on the progress and helped to determine certain details of the shower installation. We are quite pleased with the results and happy to have a bathroom that is almost like new, thanks to Lindsay and her crew. -
Lindsay was very responsive. She offered her expertise in making design choices along the way. She was great to work with!

Lindsay from Paul Davis was amazing - she responded quickly no matter what time we contacted her, she followed up when we had to pause our project for about a month, and she got new contractors out really quickly when the first ones did terrible job. Thanks for sticking with us!

Our home became unlivable after a fire. Becoming suddenly homeless with most of your personal belongings destroyed and damaged is overwhelming. Enter Paul Davis Restoration. Elliot Jenk, our project manager, led the way in hero fashion navigating us through the several months that followed. When you are suddenly displaced and working, trying to put a home back together and file all the necessary documents for insurance coverage is probably more than most people could pull off successfully. Our home has been restored beyond our expectations. I've been in construction nearly 35 years, including construction management. In that time, I have never seen a project go 100% as planned. There are ALWAYS hiccups. What makes a project a success is how those bumps in the road are mitigated and how others are prevented. Our project was successful. We are truly grateful to have worked firsthand with Elliot especially, and hold the rest of the Paul Davis team in high regard as well. Thank you to all of the staff and subs at Paul Davis Restoration.

Paul Davis Restoration rebuilt the damaged parts of my basement after a flood. They did very professional work and left the area clean. It looks just like it did before the damage was done, and we’re very happy with the work they did.

The majority of us aren’t equipped with the knowledge or resources required after a house fire. The devastation of losing your home is tragic and can leave you feeling helpless when it comes time to pick up the pieces.
When we had our house fire in the spring of 2024, we were approached by countless contractors who made empty promises and ultimately left us feeling more alone and overwhelmed.
When we found Elliott Jenk with Paul Davis Restoration, we immediately knew he was a great fit to take on the job.
Fast forward 5 months later and I am so glad we followed our gut! We have nothing but wonderful things to say about our contractor.
Elliott under promised and over delivered. He kindly answered every text or call in a timely manor and scheduled every appointment immediately. Which leads me to also praise every single company that Elliott collaborated with to put our house back together. They were all quick, efficient, and lovely people to work with.
Our house is now more beautiful than ever thanks to all of the updates post fire and we are so lucky to be welcoming our newest family member to our perfect home just in time.
I truly could not be any happier with our decision to choose Elliott and Paul Davis restoration. -
Lindsey was our project manager as we worked through restoration following a fire. She was incredibly helpful and it was such a relief knowing that she was coordinating all of the work and timelines. We are very glad to have had her help throughout this stressful time!
