Great selection, attentive staff.

My son always loves Kings and we love to support local business BUT the no mask wearing is not acceptable. I see other people have commented similarly and the response has been "outside guidelines". However, the staff inside the green house (spraying roundup on the stones) were not masked. The staff outside were also not masked and when they are taking plants out to peoples cars, offering assistance, and moving around customers the "but they're outside" line doesn't cut it. They are definitely not six feet from customers or each other.
There is a State mandate in effect and not having employees mask puts them at risk as well as the customers.
I'm disappointed in this business. We are willing to pay a little more to support family owned businesses, but this is the kind of thing that makes it harder to support small business.

Went to king’s gardens today and was surprised by how unhelpful and rude the staff was. There was one lady working that was helpful; however, the other staff working were rude, unfriendly, ignored our request for a box to carry our plants in and insisted we have a bag instead. Additionally, the prices were above average and the staff were just hanging out and not helping customers. When my partner and I approached them they scattered off as if we had the plague or didn’t want to help. Needless to say we will not be back.

Great selection and great customer service. We were there on a cold day in early spring, and still found lots to enjoy and buy. Prices are in line with a boutique shop--not Lowe's. But so is the quality.

The employees there have always been friendly and usually go out of their way to help or to say hi. Prices can be high, but so are most nurseries. Selection is usually good. I do hate seeing invasive plants still being sold at nurseries though.

King's always has a great selection of plants! I visited their greenhouse and bought some plants for making terrariums.

Great selection and very friendly and knowledgeable staff. The helped us find the best trees for our particular situation. Slightly on the pricey side but not out of line (better than some worse than others) for the local nurseries.

Ian designed our landscaping and did a great job. It has exceeded our expectations. But what sets King’s apart is their service even after the initial sale and instillation. Wes has been fantastic and replaced a few shrubs that didn’t make it. They really make sure you’re a happy customer.

I went looking for some pops of early spring color. While the selection of spring offerings wasn't large, Jacob, ( employee Or owner?) informed me they are expecting pansies and some other spring blooming flowers late next week. He showed me their in stock selections and all employees were helpful with plant education and suggestions for the coming season. Beautiful garden accessories, fountains, houseplants and more. Go out and get some ideas for your garden!

I used to love this place but they are apparently anti mask. I have come twice this year with my toddler and had to leave both times because neither the employees or customers were following CDC guidelines. Will not be returning even after the pandemic ends. Update: you can see their reply but I was inside the little shop when an unmasked employee was talking to my son.

This place has a great selection of plants and really friendly helpful staff. I will say the prices are quite a big higher than other places for some items. Although the vegetable starts were reasonable.

The inventory is healthy and well cared for. I could not complain about their selection and stock. The staff working here were dismissive and not at all interested in helping clients. They gave off an attitude that questions were a waste of their time. I was willing to buy some plants but the employees were so disinterested that I took my business elsewhere.

I have been driving past this place on my way home from work for months. Having just bought a condo in Lexington, today was going to be the day to bring home some plants. I had the seats down in my SUV, and I picked out a nice patio plant. I headed towatts the inside, where you get potting soil and planters, and they basically said, sorry we’re closed! It was 6:01 pm. So, I guess I need to find another nursery in Lexington. One that’s a little more customer oriented.

UPDATE: Wes, thank you for reaching out. Just the fact that you acknowledged my concern is enough for me. I don't need any special favors or discounts. I will shop King's again, as it is really convenient and your customers obviously like you a lot. Thanks.

Started going last year. This is the only place we will come for plants, flowers, trees and mulch. Even picked up a great planter for my office. All the outdoor plants we have purchased here are beautiful and thriving. My husband loves the barkey beaver mulch. Excellent customer service. Have not been let down!

Best garden center in the area! We return time and time again for all of our flowers, trees, and shrubs. Great selection and also great help with picking out everything.

We have been going to Kings for about 5+ years now. We travel well over an hour for their beautiful selection of plants, flowers, herbs, etc.. I have never had a bad experience there. Kylie has helped me with all of my flowers the past 4 years (showing me what works well together, including teaching me how to arrange everything in my pots once I get home). This kid is a true asset to this place. Every employee that I have ever encountered there has had “Priority #1 Top Customer Service”. I worked 30+ years in Customer Service and know what treatment I should receive while at a business. Trust me when I say that when anyone of Kings employees is helping you, “you” will be their top priority. It is a well educated ran business. Thank you Kylie for helping me decorate the outside of my house for the past 4 years!!

They have the best displays of garden decorations in town. I love to browse this garden center. Service was very good and helped we to find what I needed.

But the plants this visit aren’t as pretty as other places. Some of them were quite brown or had insect holes in the leaves of quite a few plants. Maybe short staffed?

We have had a wonderful landscaping experience with King’s Gardens Garden Center. Ian, the landscape architect, was able to work with us on-site to review the garden area and discuss what plants we wanted and what might work best for the location. We then reviewed a detailed plan and were able to make changes where we wanted. We were also able to look at the actual plants to be used in the design. The installation was very professional from start to finish with detailed instructions on how to care for the plants. All of the new plantings have thrived and we receive many compliments on our new design. We look forward to returning to King’s for the next phase of our landscaping project.
