I have nothing but great words for these guys, these guys are A+ class. I have done multiple jobs with this crew and nothing but perfection on their end. They really make it easy to work with.

Although we thought they would be a good fit at the beginning when they contacted us and showed up as planned, that's where the good ended. The work was very low quality, and we have to pay to have their work fixed. The only thing they did well was the mulch, which was the least of our worries. The area that was supposed to be filled with a good 9" of dirt for our flower garden was filled with extremely low-quality dirt full of way more clay than anything else. I can't even dig through it to plant anything. The new deck that was stained was only stained with one coat and looks awful, not to mention that the stain is now all over the top rim of our pool and they didn't even attempt to wipe it off. The expensive bricks that were laid were a total waste of money and a very weird and crooked line was laid for no reason; we have to pay someone to break it up and remove it. There was no reason to even lay it at all, and if they knew it was going to be crooked, they really shouldn't have laid it. The trees we purchased to have planted were way shorter than we were told and don't even come close to blocking the pool from the road, the only reason they were planted at all. They also told us the work would be done in one day (we never believed that), but took 3 days, although it could have taken 2 if they would have just worked a full 8 hours. Definitely would not recommend - we were totally ripped off; the services we received weren't worth 15% of what we had to pay.

This project definitely had its fair share of unforeseen challenges (Kameron said that he's never seen so many electrical/cable lines running through a backyard before) but his team was able to work around it and make everything look great. He even offered to lay sod down afterwards for no additional charge since they had to dig up such a big portion of my yard to locate all of the electrical lines, which I thought was a nice gesture and a perfect example of his willingness to go above and beyond for a customer.

I would use Doleman Services again. They are quality, fair, and dependable.

Kameron and his crew did a good job. They were on time and they worked with us to solve problems. I would definitely invite them back to work at our home again.

My pool deck was rotted, falling apart and extremely unsafe. I found out about Kameron Doleman with Doleman Services through a friend, and I'm glad I did. He was extremely professional, respectful and priced fair. His team did an amazing job repairing my old deck framing, and then installing all new decking surface from the joists up. They are very knowledgeable, extremely polite, caring and a professional company. I am extremely pleased with how the project turned out.

Within a few days of reaching out to Hannah, Kameron stopped by to discuss our backyard vision and provide a quote. We were in desperate need of a new fence. Since the old fence would be down, we decided to also have a retaining wall and pavers installed. The project started a little later than expected, but Kameron kept me updated. Once the project began, it took a little longer than anticipated due to some complications with the gravel base of the pavers. By the end of the week, we had a new fence installed, new tree shrubs along the fence line, filled-in landscape rocks, a retaining wall, and pavers. Overall, we are happy with the upgrades. Here are our impressions of our experience. Please note some of these issues are on us. We never hired anyone to do an extensive project like this, so we will communicate better when we complete our next project. The team was friendly, hard-working, and showed up every day, but there is still a bit of a learning curve with this group. Our fence was placed about a foot back from the original fence (and my husband dug out the old fence posts), causing a foot of landscaping between the fence and the retaining wall. We purchased some rocks ourselves and placed them between the fence and the retaining wall. It turned out fine because we can use it as a seating area, though, that was not the intention. Also, the back side of the fence jets in a bit. It's not a straight line. We're trying to understand why this was completed in such a way. It's not a big deal, just a little strange. Also, strange, most fence gates are 3.5-4 feet wide, but our new gates are 6 feet wide, making it harder to self-close per the KY Residential Code for pool fencing. It does self-latch. Also, per the code, "the latch must be at least 54 inches above the ground level outside the fence and must be located on the inside of the gate." Our latches are on both sides of the gates. We are still trying to figure out how to address this so we are in compliance. The tree shrubs are nice and planted where we wanted them. Kameron reminded us to water them daily for a couple of weeks until they acclimate. We were supposed to have added rocks to our landscape around the pool and new shrubs, but the cost was underestimated because the fence was put a foot back. Some rock was placed around the shrubs, but more was needed to complete the project. Kameron offered to complete this at an additional cost, but my husband and I decided we would address it on our own, given we were already at our max budget for this project. The retaining wall came out nicely. However, where the fence jetted in the back, the retaining wall stopped. We had materials left, so my husband completed the wall to the fence post near the back gate. On one corner of the retaining wall, it doesn't sit flush. We put a rock on it. The ends have gaps where debris gets caught. The pavers came out nicely after addressing the issue of not wanting to step down from the pool area. I would have preferred our walkway from the back gate to be as wide as the gate. Since it was one of the last things completed, we didn't realize how wide the gate would be compared to the walkway. I do love having the flat surface of pavers by the metal gate on the side. I appreciate that bit of craftsmanship. The rock and pavers were dropped in front of the house, on the main road into the neighborhood. We tried to move a vehicle or put construction horses out so people wouldn't plow into the stacks at night. Our lawn and neighbor’s lawn were torn up from the heavy machinery, but Kameron did lay seed and hay, so we're hopeful the grass will return nicely. Otherwise, that will be another added expense. After completing this project, my husband made some minor fixes to the retaining wall, and we still need to fix the gate latches, add landscape rocks, and add polymeric sand to the pavers. The bulk of the job was done well and timely-within a week. Again, some ownership is on us for not communicating well with Kameron. It was a lot of money for us to spend, not to be completely satisfied.

I’m extremely pleased with the work Doleman Contracting Services provided for my retaining wall and fence. Kameron is both very professional and very pleasant to work with. His team was hard-working and communicated well, and tolerated all of my annoying questions. When the project uncovered a large amount of unexpected underground rock, they didn’t cut corners — they talked through options with me, explained the structural considerations, and came up with a design that is both solid and uniquely attractive. They stayed on schedule, kept me informed, and delivered high-quality craftsmanship. I highly recommend them for any contracting project in Louisville.

I just had Doleman Services lay engineered flooring down in my living room, hallway and stairs and I am exceptionally pleased with the workmanship, communication and overall work ethic the whole crew had. I’m going to have them do some other projects too!

Cameron and his crew were great to work with. They kept us updated on the project and worked hard to get the job done. The work they did was fabulous. They take pride in their work and it shows. There was a little trouble getting the deck lighting to work but they didn’t give up until it was figured out and we couldn’t be happier with our new deck and retaining wall. We will definitely use Doleman Services for our next outdoor project.

We hired Kameron and his team for a backyard renovation job after the foliage became wildly overgrown. We wanted everything cleared, including existing grass and new sod layer down so we could start fresh on a new backyard. We’d received several different quotes at the time and Doleman’s was the most comprehensive. It wasn’t the cheapest, but for what they promised they could do, we decided to give them a shot. I communicated with Kameron directly weeks leading up to the job. The weekend before the job he reported to me that his mini skid steer had gone down. I was afraid this was going to mean he wasn’t going to be able to complete our job or maybe that our job wasn’t worth his time. But instead, he had a contingency plan to rent additional equipment if his wasn’t operational by the day of the job. He had the dumpster ordered and delivered the day before and August 7th he was there to get started. I didn’t really know what to expect because this was the first landscape work I’ve ever hire out. His experience was on display as he assessed the backyard, planned the work with his crew, and immediately got started. It took them almost no time to clear the overgrowth and grade the earth to prep for sod. Day 2 they laid sod down and it looked better than we could have imagined. We are very pleased with the work he and his team performed.

What I’ve learned from working with Kameron is that he takes pride in his work. He wants the results to look good but also meet the expectations of the customer. We were those people who didn’t really have a vision as we were going to be content with whatever. Because, surely anything we got had to look better than what already existed.

If you are reading reviews trying to determine whether to use Doleman services or not, I encourage you to take a chance. His pricing seemed very reasonable. But his communication was exceptional. He really listened to my wife and I, trying to establish some sort of expectation with us to meet. If the results are not to your liking, communicate with him and he will truly make an effort to work with you to change your experience. We are very please with his work and would hire him and his team again in the future. Therefore we would also highly recommend him to anyone looking for quotes.

Cameron and his work crew are very professional, hardworking and got the job done. The landscaping, new deck, and hard scaping was the exact look I requested in the contract.

I’m very pleased with the work that Kameron and his team completed on my retaining walls. They showed up when they said they wood and worked hard to get both walls completely rebuilt. They showed great attention to detail and cleaned up great! I would highly recommend them and hope to use them again for future projects.

They ripped out the old & installed the new deck with trex wood. He worked with us & made sure we we're satisfied with the job! We even had him install a Marble tile floor in our basement kitchenette area. Great people & very polite.

I highly recommend Kameron and his team at Doleman Contracting Services. They recently remodeled our entire backyard, which included replacing two retaining walls and a privacy fence, removing stumps and overgrowth, and re-sodding the lawn. The final result is fantastic!

What stood out most was Kameron’s professionalism and communication. He clearly explained the project timeline upfront, and when a week-long delay occurred due to rain, he notified us in advance and started on the exact revised date. Throughout the process, his team stayed focused on our project—no juggling multiple jobs—and completed everything in under two weeks.

Excellent deck replacement & service!
After calling multiple contractors for a Trex deck replacement, we encountered a frustrating mix of no-shows and absurd quotes. We were finally connected with Kameron of Doleman Contracting through a recommendation from Watts Home Improvement. After meeting him at a home show, I received a very detailed and reasonable quote within days.
The project was completed on time and under budget. We are extremely happy with the results and will definitely use Doleman Contracting for future interior and exterior projects.

• Job Site Tidiness: The job site could be a bit messy at times. (I only mention this for balance of a review; it did not detract from the successful outcome, and the site was left in immaculate shape upon completion.)

You can’t beat these guys for service or sales for that matter. Very responsive to phone calls and if I can’t be at the house they still come out and take care of what needs to be handled. Don’t listen to the 1 complaining person that wants to rant. This a family business that wants to help!!

We had a slow start due to miscommunication but once we connected service was performed very fast. They brought our pool back to life after it sat dormant for 4+ years. Pool looks beautiful

Wonderful pool company. Me and my wife just had All America Pool build a inground pool for us. I called 6 pool companies to come out and give me a bid. Only 3 showed up. The first two companies that showed up told me and my wife that we couldnt get the pool the way that we wanted. They had a tough time quoting us a price, none of them could explain the process or even tell us what they were quoting us. I almost thought about just giving up on the pool. Finally Michelle "owner" from All America Pool came out. On Time!!!!! She told us that we could get what we wanted. Explained everything to us. She did everything that she promised and then some. Im so glad that we had All America Pool build our pool....

We have relied on this family owned business for years. They are very knowledgeable, always helpful, quick to respond, and make owning a pool a pleasure! We highly recommend them!
