I had Allen Electric set up my house to be able to hook my portable generator to the panel to power our house when the power goes out. Matt was the electrician and his team mate did a excellent job. They were punctual and very courteous. They demonstrated how to hook the generator to the system. This is the second time we've had Allen do Electric work done and I'll continue using them for future problems. I strongly recommend Allen Electric..

Allen Electrical is the best in my opinion, Each and every time they have done work at my home they have always been on time, knew exactly what to do and did the job with expert skill and respect for property. I have had them do work at my home twice int then last month of March 25 and I am more than pleased with their work, and the quality of people they send to my home. The are polite, very knowledgeable and quick to get the job done. Don't be afraid to call, you will be glad you did.

Used Tony and his guys for years, they take good care of me. They’ve done it all from switches and receptacles to fixtures and LED wafers. They also service my generator annually, great company. Highly recommend.

Man, did I have a mess on my hands? My electrical box looked like a rat's nest, with bare wires and loose wires, and nothing was marked. Allen Electric to the rescue. I couldn’t be more pleased with Allen Electrical (Matt Rogers)! Clayton & Matt were incredibly responsive and professional from the moment they arrived at my home this morning. I had a few different concerns—my kitchen lights were flickering whenever the washer and dryer ran, and I also had an outdated dimmer and old-style outlet setup in my living room that needed attention.

The team quickly assessed everything, offered clear explanations, and provided a very fair on-site quote. They got right to work and handled everything efficiently. What really impressed me was how respectful and thorough they were—cleaning up after themselves, walking me through each issue, and making thoughtful, non-pushy recommendations for future improvements.

#1 all-time experience with someone in the trades! We had a Cat-6 line run from modem on 1st floor to basement on other side of house to set up a home office. My main concern was aesthetics. Nate was our tech on both visits (estimate and job). He was both professional and friendly. He took the time to explore several different avenues to run the wiring. The end result...a minimal amount of holes was needed in the drywall to run it. Three small, easily patchable holes for almost 1200 ft of wire is impressive. I will ONLY use Allen Electric and specifically ask for Nate for any electrical work needed in the future. Couldn't be happier!

Jason and Garrett were here this afternoon and rather than pushing to sell an expensive alarm alert GFI, they seem to think it may be the refrigerator in the garage that was causing the issue. We are taking their suggestion of plugging it into a non GFI outlet to see if that leads to what is the cause of the problem. We appreciated their advice and help in rerouting the extension cord. We may be out the cost of a new garage fridge eventually, but we’re in all likelihood not having to replace other things unnecessarily.

Matt and Connor were fantastic! Matt talked me through each job I asked about and gave great recommendations on how to make it happen the way I envisioned. Matt and Connor were ultimate professionals. The both know their stuff and very careful with every task to protect my home.

We have always been pleased with Allen Electrical for all of our wiring. They have changed out our fuse box and added whole home surge protection and most recently we purchased a generator and hook up that will allow us to keep the house warm or cool with alternating the appliances. No more rotten freezer food...In this time of rapidly changing weather and worse storms, it's very comforting to know that there's a backup. Pricing has been fair and upfront; no surprises. I highly recommend Allen Electrical for any electrical needs you may have.

The Allen Electric crew did a great job installing my new Generac Generator. They had done extensive panel work for me in the past and I was sure they would do the best job with the generator project. They met and exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended!

Two techs came to my house for several electrical issues. They gave me an estimate of $413, but stated that they would lower the price if all of these repairs were not performed. They actually asked for payment before services were performed. I told them, payment would not be given until services were completed.
All they did was walk around and “pretend “ that they were inspecting the issues. They then told us that the bulbs we were using were incorrect and that a fixture was broken. They then stated that we had 2 breakers that needed replaced, so in good faith, I allowed them to replace them. I paid them the $413. Big mistake!

After the techs leave, I walked in to my office to complete work and have NO POWER! Additionally, I now have a different breaker labeled “lighting” that keeps tripping. The techs obviously did not test the breaker panel before installing the new breakers! Very dissatisfied with the bad performance and that the techs made our situation worse. I have contacted Allen Electric. The operator stated an after hours tech would contact me. Still no response by 6:30pm.

UPDATE:

The next morning, Jason came by at 7:30 am. He was professional and courteous. He fixed the issue in about 10 minutes and we are grateful for the service. Kudos to Jason for his speedy response and fixing the problem!

A vehicle crashed into a telephone pole (35th & Virginia Ave) causing my meter box to be ripped from the side of my house. The electrician from Allen was prompt (on a Sunday morning), courteous and professional. He talked me and my neighbor through the repair process while coordinating with LG&E. Outstanding service!

Wendy and Clayton were awesome and very understanding. We are on a time crunch and they hustled and gave us a very fair price. Real people who are genuine and care about people.

We called Allen electric at 6am our meter melted our wires and lgne cut our electricity off. Allen electric was amazing they sent Brian and Sam out same day replaced all our wires. Did an excellent job was done in no time highly recommended.

Allen Electric did a wonderful job replacing my old panel! The work is solid and they knocked it out in 1 day. They even labeled the new panel so I don’t have to play Marco Polo when turning off breakers. Thank you Aaron and Everett!

Allen Electric Service did an outstanding job installing power for our car charger. The project wasn’t easy because of the panel’s location, but they handled it with skill and professionalism. They kept everything clean throughout the process, which we really appreciated. My wife is usually uncomfortable with strangers in the home, but the electricians’ professionalism quickly put her at ease. Highly recommend!
