Called every pool company in central ky looking for a part . They told us to come by and they would try to match the part up. AND THEY DID!!! And the part was only a few dollars.

Im a 3 year customer. I would not go anywhere else but here to ask questions, buy my chemicals, pool toys, water testing for my pool. My pool is 22 ft. above ground metal frame ...Im not treated any different than someone that has an underground pool living in Hartland. Sweetest and most professional staff and owners!!!!!

These guys are great, much more proactive and conversations about the treatment of our pool for the whole season, rather than some other places that just sell one product to get you out of the store. highly recommend the bioguard products, they are higher end and more expensive, but they ended up saving us money over the season, instead of the cheap cholorine tablets that evaporate.

Chuck Mattingly and his team are total professionals. No question went unanswered; they are punctual, knowledgeable, friendly, and the time frame of completion for our in-ground pool was flawless. Chuck went as far as acting as general contractor when we decided add additional landscaping around the pool. We highly recommend Backyard Fun Pools to anyone who is considering adding a pool to their home!

Literally one of the biggest wastes of time, they said that it would take them about two weeks before they could install our pool. It has been a month and a half and the summer is almost over. Currently we have no date scheduled for install and are just waiting. They will answer the phone then say “let us give you a call back.” They will not give us a call back!!! This has happened about 5 times now. I am not a person that is usually this critical or annoyed by people for being late with things etc but this has been the worst costumer service ever. I don’t think the people that work at the store actually know what is going on. Good luck if you try them, I do not recommend.

We have had our pool 3+ years and have enjoyed it immensely. Everyone at Backyard Fun Pools, Inc. has been extremely courteous and helpful always going over and above what is expected. I had previously had an inground pool with a liner (20' x 44') that I always considered a chore. So I was reluctant about installing another one. However, now I am so happy to have our 15' x 30' fiberglass inground pool with the salt water generator. The labor is practically none at all and any time I have a question or assistance they are a phone call away and always pleasant to talk with. Thank you everyone at Backyard Fun Pools. We're anxiously awaiting the upcoming season.

I rarely take the time to write a review but I have spent a lot of money with Backyard pools over the years. I called them earlier this year to have them patch a small leak in my return line, which they had done before. A young woman took my call and said they would call back. I waited approximately a month and with no call, called them back again. A woman who identified herself as the owner told me Shay handles the repair scheduling a I should talk to her. Shay returned my call and said the girl who took my call no longer worked there and had not written up a ticket. She wrote up a ticket and set a date for repairs.
On the day that the repairs were due, I received a call from a guy who was having difficulting locating my house, I gave him directions. He arrived and called me and said "my ticket says your skimmer needs to be repaired but your wife says it is the return line" I told him it was in fact the return line and I had told Shay that when we scheduled this appointment. he said" well i only have the patch for a skimmer not any of the tools I need to repair the other". I said that that wasnt my problem that I had been clear that it was the return line when I scheduled the appointment. He hung up on me, then called me back to say that "he wouldnt do the work and I could just find someone else" When I called the store a woman who identified herself as the owner and wife of the owner, Chuck, who apparently was the guy came to my house, they claimed I had been rude.
As a business owner myself it is hard to reconcile someone who is the owner of a business being such a snowflake that they blame the customer for being rude for simply pointing out the facts of the situation instead of taking responsibility for his business not taking information down correctly and being unprepared when he shows up for a job. I was not rude but just direct in my dialogue as documented above.
There are plenty of pool companies in the area and I would advise you pick a different one than Backyard fun.

I had cloudy water returning into my pool. I had it serviced by another company and said sand needed changing which I did. Then problem continued. Changed the top to the filter still problem continued. So I called Backyard Fun Pools and Sherry diagnosed it FREE over the phone. The hoses were installed to the filter incorrectly. Wow wish I’d called them first instead of the other company. Would have saved me about $300-400. Learned my lesson. I’ll use Backyard Fun Pools from now on.

Backyard Fun Pools earned my business from a competitor a couple years ago and they did that with EXCELLENT service and the best knowledge around. No matter how difficult my problem is or how badly I messed up my pool, they've always fixed it and call me to make sure I am being taken care of. Customer since 2015 and I give them an A+.
