I had a terrific experience with Austin at Town and Range Surveying. I reached out to him because I was trying to sell a house that has a party sewer line and needed a sewer easement to complete the sale. He understood everything about my situation - not only exactly what needed to be done to remedy it but also my time constraints because the house was under contract. He was a pleasure to work with - very professional and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

Austin was great to work with. He was easy to communicate with and get a hold of when needed. He kept me informed as each part of the process happened, which was fairly quickly. Thought his price was fair. Would definitely recommend and use again.

Austin (Town and Range Surveying) came out to mark two sides of our property. From start to finish we had the best experience. He gave a quote and got us on his schedule faster then anyone else. When Austin arrived he was very professional, friendly and answered all of our questions. Pricing was very reasonable. I will be using Town and Range surveying for all of our future needs . THIS REVIEW REFLECTS several interactions we have had over the last year. Austin Bennington from Town and Range Surveying was nothing short of FANTASTIC. I know nothing about surveying, but some issues have come up where neighbors seem to think they owned a piece of land that looked like (on all the local maps) we own.
1) So, I called Town and Ranch to get an estimate on surveying. Austin walked me through all the steps, looked up our address and told me lots of information about all our property boundaries on the phone, just using services that he had access to. He told me exactly what the process is to clarify our property boundaries, an estimate for the cost in an honest and transparent way. He clearly knows a lot, but he is also generous with his time and interest. I was very impressed. I totally trust them and will be hiring them soon.
2) I wrote the above and then, when it was clear we had an issue, our neighbor and I decided to hire Austin to do the comprehensive survey. Again, he was fantastic. Scheduled the survey prompty, showed up on time, did a very thorough job, helped interpret the results and send all the documentation to the city and the lawyer immediately. He actually gave us a name of a great lawyer too. Austin had some very sensible advice on how to handle things, not litigious, but smart and cooperative.
3) Once we realized we had a boundary problem we decided to correct it. Again, hired Austin to do the work to correct the boundary lines. It was a long process to correct it but Austin knew every step. He sent us estimates, he sent us a list of all the steps, warned us about cumbersome issues (check with our mortgage company to make sure they will agree to the boundary change) and then he basically guided us through the many months long process. It's done and he was GOLD. I do not remember anyone I have worked with other the last many years who was this good, this thorough, and timely and his whole team are just plain kind, good people. I would give Austin and his team 10 stars if they let me.

Talked to Austin and he filled me in on my surveying options with a good amount of detail over the phone. He took the time to explain my options because he didn’t want to oversell services that i didn’t need. In the future if i need a surveyor, I’ll definitely call town and range first.

We were dealing with major storm damage and Austin responded quickly to our request for services. He surveyed and marked our property, reviewing the process and providing needed information. He offered to assist with any follow up questions if needed. Great customer service and great to work with Austin.

Town and Range Surveying is excellent. The owner, Austin, is very communicative throughout the surveying process and was very respectful to both the neighbors and me. He stayed on time and on budget and met all his commitments. I highly recommend Town and Range Surveying.

I cannot say enough about Austin of Town and Country Surveying. I needed my property lines delineated to make some decisions regarding tree removal and landscaping. I contacted Austin based on other reviews. He got back to me the same day. I missed his call, but spoke with him the next day and he had me added onto his schedule that same week. He came out and located and clearly marked my property corners. He then walked the property with me, answering all my questions. He then proceeded to charge me $300 dollars less than his estimate because he felt the job had required less work than he expected! His follow up report and some helpful referrals for tree work were prompt. I truly can’t say enough positives. It is rare these days to experience such service excellence. I highly recommend using this company if you need surveying services.

Had an opportunity to talk with Austin about a property survey and what we were looking for. He was extremely helpful and a great asset. Should we need anything else in the future, he will be our first call. Highly recommend! Thank you Austin!

I haven't done business with Town and Range but I did communicate with Austin to get a estimate on a project. He was extremely helpful. He gave me a call explaining that another surveyor had already done a survey in my neighborhood and came across some complications. He suggested I call them first since they had experience in my neighborhood so they might be cheaper. He explained everything very clearly and even emailed me additional information about the survey that was previously done in my neighborhood.

Town and Range Surveying was prompt, curious, and efficient. Called to let me they had completed their previous appointment early, and could statr the appointment earlier. They checked in with my wife, and got work immediately, not only provided the exhibit we agreed upon, but they marked the property lines. Before leaving Austin checked in with my wife and gave her some additional information on how the finding of monuments process was conducted. She gave him some more information about a possible issue with a new fence we need and he added additional property line makers. Very professional and friendly throughout the process. Will definitely recommend them to neighbors and friends.

Austin is an extremely thorough and committed pro who clearly loves what he does.

His technical skills and state-of-the-art equipment got our survey done quickly and accurately and surpassed my expectations.

He even offered to collaborate with a neighbor's surveyor to share data on monuments the other surveyor couldn't locate to refine our mutual understanding of a lengthly property line.

It's a shame I probably won't need his help again (we're in our forever home) as he's a pleasure to work with.

Austin was very patient and knowledgeable and answered all my questions and explained in detail how to find the boundary lines.
Austin and Matt did an excellent job finding the lines and monuments in a very dense and brushy area.

While Austin and Matt were working on the boundary lines I had an unfortunate accident and dislocated my arm and fractured it. I was in extreme pain and they both jumped into immediate action.
Austin called 911 for me and went out to the road to await the ambulance. Matt was so incredibly sweet and kind to me as I was laying down he cradled my head in his lap and reassured me and helped me get through the pain and agony of this injury.

We recently moved to SW Portland and are looking to build a fence on our property, but with all the trees and brush, it was nearly impossible to determine where our actual property line was. Very professional survey company compared to the other company used prior. They had excellent communication before and after the survey visit. All questions and concerns were answered right there on site as well as a same day followup email of their findings. I’d highly recommend using Town and Range Survey company because their pricing was affordable and in my personal experience the job done was more accurate than the other more expensive survey company I had previously come out.

Austin was great to work with and is obviously a business owner who not only cares about what he does, but is very good at it. Fast, reliable, and just a really nice company to work with!!
