I am SO SO pleased with the job that this company did at my home. I had trees that needed to come down, brush that needed a lot of trimming. A LOT of overgrowth. These guys came in and worked MAGIC. Highly highly recommend them for all your outdoor needs. So glad I found them.

Was very pleased with Genesis. Showed up the next day after a price quote the day before. Very fair pricing. Excellent clean up. Was a difficult job on a steep hill but the stayed until the job was totally done, even cleaning up in the street. I would highly recommend them.😊

Very fast turnaround from estimate to project completion on a tree that was very dangerous and ready to come down. On time and delivered everything he promised on the removal. Very neat removal and excellent clean-up. Highly recommend! They are very good at their jobs!

Hector and crew were amazing! They did a great job trimming all of our trees! Clean up was awesome! Our willow tree was completely out of control and they made it great again! Highly recommend!

They sell very low quality plants at very high prices. Purchased some flowers online that were very expensive and the plants were very small and sickly when they arrived.

Watch out!! Went shopping for seeds today. ALL seed prices marked on the shelves are INCORRECT. You will be charged a higher price at checkout from 10-20% higher than the marked price! They are aware of this and don't seem to really care. I told the clerk that this is illegal..a violation of state law. She snapped at me and said " I know I used to work in retail" Are you kidding me? I did get a partial refund which took about a half hour. Nobody there knows what they're doing nor what's going on. The BBB and DTCP have been contacted of these egregious pricing practices.

Do not order from this company. They do not ship products with tracking. And when it never arrives they refuse to replace it. So now we are absolutely screwed at getting our flower and plants started. We paid for shipping that should have covered tracking yet they cheaped out the save some money. Now when it doesn't arrive and we have no idea when they actually shipped it because they don't have tracking it's just on their word. This is an absolutely irresponsible. They have lost all future business I've been a customer of theirs for over a decade. And my parents for 20 or 30 years. Never again.

My grandpa used to work here, and Grandma always got her glad bulbs from Jung's. I continue her tradition. The staff is always pleasant, and I love their houseplant selection. I've gotten everything from fruit trees to shrubs, seed potatoes, houseplants, onion sets, spring bulbs, glads and dahlias, seeds and gardening equipment here. I do wish they still carried Cut and Come Again zinnia seeds. Planning more fruit tree and shrub purchases this year, as the yields I've gotten are favorable.

Regarding the bad reviews from the bare root buyers, maybe just stay away from bare root and buy the potted stock. It's already gotten a good start in life. In my experience, bare root takes forever to get going and rarely thrives - and I have good soil and two green thumbs, but bare root stuff never grows for me, no matter where I buy it from. So I cannot personally comment on their bare root selections here.

I live a half hr away and they only have an automated voice system when you call. Stating their employees are all busy helping customers (not true) so if I want to know if a certain tree is in stock I’d have to drive a half hr to check. They should have better customer service for people who don’t live locally. With high gas prices now I don’t want to drive that far only to find out they don’t have what I’m looking for.

False Advertising. I attempted to call ahead to confirm whether or not the store would have fruit and berry bushes available at this time. The automated system informed me that they are rapidly rotating through stock and with new shipments coming in each week, they would not be able to confirm whether anything would be in stock at a given time, and therefore it was best to come in person. When I arrived, I found that there was very little available, and I when I asked an employee, they were able to tell me that the store would not be receiving many fruit trees and berry bushes for a few weeks yet. If I had been able to speak to a person before leaving, I could have gotten that answer without wasting gas. The automated message falsely advertised both the volume of items that would be in stock (most shelves were completely empty) and the ability of the staff to provide information (the employee was easily able to tell me that the things I was looking for aren’t currently available).

If the employee that I crashed out at sees this: I’m sorry. You didn’t deserve that and I should have just stayed home when I was already having a rough time.

To management: just let us have a person to answer the phones. Automation is not the solution and you just lost what would otherwise have been a repeat customer over years thanks to the wide variety of plants you offer. I’ll be looking elsewhere after this.

Found a nice 8 foot tree (Afternurner Tupelo). Apparently turns bright red in fall and stays that way for a while. We'll see.
Nice selection of trees, shrubs, and flowers. Even honored my 10% off coupon from Sun Prairie (very nice, thanks). Staff was super friendly and very accommodating. I will definitely be back.

I can always find garden plants and flowers here. Their selection of mulch and garden soils is extensive. I'm trying the Coast of Maine organic garden soil for the first time. Love the selection of unique items and plant lady supplies in-store too.

We hired Zillges to redo a long stone wall along our driveway that was falling down. It had to be taken down and rebuilt correctly. Vince and Isaiah did an incredible job!! It looks amazing and we are so happy with the work they did! We will definitely hire Zillges for our next project! The entire team was great to work with from start to finish!

Fantastic experience working with Zillges. It was important to me that we maintained the original brick arch of the fireplace. Steve knew exactly what needed to be done, and we couldn’t be happier. We have had many compliments on the insert.

As I come in from having to try and fix Zillges's work for the second time in two years, perhaps it's therapeutic to share our experience. Zillges did the excavation on our new build. They did such a terrible job backfilling that we constantly get sink holes next to the foundation of our house. This means that we're constantly pulling back the landscaping to try and put more dirt where they left all the stones. We've spent too much money on this to have to constantly fix it. Where is the professionalism?

Lest you think this is simply a disappointed homeowner, even Zillges employees agreed. We had Zillges give us a bid on our landscaping ($30k) and the Zillges rep said that he would have to have someone from Excavation come back out and fix the backfill problems before he could do any of the landscaping. The problem was brought up to Tim who completely ignored it - you read that correctly - he had absolutely no interest in correcting his company's sloppy work. The only recourse we have is to completely ignore them for our future business. The landscaping bid went to a competitor (Landscape Solutions) who did a fantastic job.

I'm sure there are folks who have had great experiences with Zillges, but we are simply not one of them. If their own employees were ashamed of the work, that should tell you something. I could not in good conscience recommend Zillges's excavation services.

We had Zillges put in our new stone patio with a gas grill surround and Sundance spa this past summer. They did a wonderful job, cleaned up well at the end of each work day and fixed one minor problem we had in a timely manner. Beau did a great job with the design and we got exactly what we wanted! I would highly recommend Zillges for any landscaping or outdoor entertainment area job!

I’ve built several houses in the past and complete lots of the work myself, then sell after four to six years. I have worked with several fireplace companies in the Fox Valley area for the building process with fireplace installation. We recently purchased a used home and are in the process of remodeling to make this home our forever home. We had a unique installation process since we needed a high efficiency fireplace installed in our old chimney, it was not deep enough so we put a wood stove on our hearth! Zillges is by far the best, not even in comparison with others we have used. From our sales rep Jim, to the installation crew Steven, they were hands down the best. Jim was there on the other end of the phone answering text messages and phone calls about every little question I had. Please, do not waste your time traveling to other places, let me save you the time, go to Zillges!

I would like to thank Vince, Isaiah and Fred for their hard work today placing landscaping felt and stone today. It was a tough job to get the felt down and secured. And it was done with much consideration to detail.

We had our gas fireplace looked at and cleaned up by Zillges. I want to emphasize the staff that came to my house were 5 star worthy. When they left they were kind and said if you have any problems in 30 days please call us back. That evening my wife used the fireplace and the blower did not work. The next day I called back and JIM answered the phone. What a jerk. That guy should never be allowed to talk to customers. He talked to me like I hadn't owned my home for 24 years. I told him it was probably something that accidentally didn't get plugged back in or something, no big deal. He tried blaming me for having the wrong kind of switch. I have no idea what his problem is but it's a problem. He put me on hold. Then told me he could have someone here in 10 minutes. I said great. The two nice guys came back and it was a loose wire. I hope you have better days JIM
Update: The owner did call me this morning and assured me that this is not how they do business. I really appreciate that they followed up and took care of the situation. Thank you Zillges

Have had several (two) projects done from this family owned local business. Not only are they extremely friendly they are by far the most knowledgeable and professional hardscape providers in the area. Tthey transformed our lake frontage, and just recently, transformed our front yard as well. Prices are great! You will not be disappointed.
