Mike was very professional and creative when working through our design. He provided continuous progress updates with photos and met with us personally on several occasions at our home to verify everything was to our expectations.
The crew was meticulous about their quality of work and it shows- the craftsmanship was above our expectations. The cobblestones and artificial turf are level and blend together naturally. The flow of the entire project worked with our natural landscape.
The crew was professional and worked hard. We are thrilled with the outcome and would recommend Greenway Scapes! -

Great Landscape company. Very proactive and efficient.

Completely unnecessary start at 645am. These guys have no respect for the community.

Dont call them. Theyll scratch your car while cutting and not clean up after themselves.

I dont know anything about the work this company does. I do know that there employees are terrible. Not only do they take all the parking on a street they aren't located on, but they also releave themselves in the bushes on the side of the road during broad day light.

Just a word of advice for HOA’s that are considering a change to Holmes landscaping. Beware of potential inexperience, as it could be costly for your community.
A board member in my HOA at Ocean Hills Summit informed me in writing that Holmes landscaping “recommended” removing a large queen palm tree from my property that is in the common area maintained by my HOA.
I planted this palm tree myself along with 5 other queen palms on the property 26 years ago. The tree was healthy green and thriving with a new frond coming out at the top. There is landscaping lighting on the tree to showcase it at night. The canopy was wind blown and leaning to one side but it has done that off and on over the years. Maybe the tree was unsightly to someone?
Our HOA president informed my wife that Holmes charged our HOA $600 to cut the tree down and haul away. This cost was obviously absorbed by all of us homeowners.
Our board and landscape committee is relatively new and apparently unable to ask why we should cut down a perfectly healthy palm tree.
In summary, not sure why Holmes would recommend to our landscape committee that cutting down a living mature palm tree was the absolute right thing to do. It’s unfortunate that our landscape committee doesn’t have the skill, knowledge and experience to plush back and ask why? It’s green, it’s alive, the tree trunk is spectacular, etc.
It’s plausible that Holmes has newer, inexperienced people out making these recommendations to landscape committees with similar inexperience, which of course leads to a situation such as I am describing. Either way, it’s a loss for our small community and a complete waste of HOA fees.
So in the future, before selecting or making a landscape maintenance contractor change, please interview and ensure the Holmes representative assigned to your community has the requisite experience and knowledge and is able to make proper recommendations to protect the integrity of your community.

Agreeing with a review I saw below. Can't speak on the companies landscaping abilities but their employees have no respect for businesses on a street where they aren't located. The whole street is taken up by them causing parking problems. They walk down the middle of the street and go to the bathroom on and around businesses that aren't theirs. Unacceptable behavior all around.

Horrible and awful landscaping company to contract with! We presently have this company to take care of our HOA backyard neighborhood yearly brush/shrub management unfortunately this company does not even meet our “minimum” cleaning expectations even after we submit a complaint to our HOA board. You would think this company will do their best to keep our business, but no they don’t care as long as the regular payments come on time. Hope to soon be able to replace this company with a definitely conscientious workers who will be willing to do what is right to avoid more canyon fires here in San Diego.

This company started using electric technology for their blowers and trimmers and lawn mowers. And it is so much quieter and cleaner. We really appreciate their effort in going down this path. They're the best!

This company has government contracts with library but they do a horrible job the people they sent a cleanup use a blower and blow everything onto everybody else’s property and leave the place a mess no sweeping no raking nothing they absolutely just cut the grass with a machine they sit on top of and then simply blow everything in there and see the bushes or onto other peoples property very unprofessional I recommend going elsewhere
