We had a wonderful experience at Anderson's yesterday. Dan saw we needed help with tree selection and after asking us many questions gave us instructions on our new Crape Myrtle. What a Blessing, we'll be coming back.

We love coming to this nursery. We always find things that we didn't know we needed. The plants are always beautiful and healthy, with a wide selection of. They also have a wide selection of indoor and outdoor plants, trees bushes, etc. Prices are about average with other nurseries, some things may be a tad bit higher. Love the food in their cafeteria area.

They also have Sage Cafe, boutique clothing & gift shop and will soon have a coffee shop

Anderson’s is quite a gem for garden lovers. Not only do they have a wide variety of plants and accessories, but they also carry a nice line of gifts and decorations for both Halloween and Christmas.

They also have interesting clothing and a wide selection of jewelry. To top it off they have a wonderful cafe serving delicious food.

I wish I lived closer so I could visit more often.

My wife and I have been going to Anderson's since they've opened many years ago.... Incredible amounts of plants and accessories for the yard and gardens... Add great food.... Prices are fair... Quality is incredible....

2022 update. This is still a well kept nursury with lots of home decor. This is a pretty large nursery. They have a good selection of garden growing needs. There is also plant and flower decorations including pots. There is also a retail store that sells some clothes. The gardens and live plants were very impressive and the plants for sale looked healthy.

I could spend hours there shopping, because everyone is so nice and willing to help.

Not to mention the restaurant they have inside of the store is absolutely delicious!
crab ball were my favorite as well as the wraps.
I also enjoyed a pomegranate mimosa super delicious.
They were extremely busy but again the staff has great customer service and no one missed a beat.
As well as still practicing and maintaining the Covid-19 distance and cleaning rules.

You can definitely spend a few hours there!! There are lots of plant options, but we come to buy unique gifts. Wind chimes, sarcastic kitchen towels, boutique clothing, hot sauces, honey, Hey Dude shoes, funny socks, beautiful jewlery, and so much more...this place has it all!

Then, after shopping, grab a DELICIOUS bite to eat at Sage Kitchen. I recommend the Shrooma wrap and the Reuben! Oh, and the black bean salad!!!

This nursery was so peaceful in every space I walked through. Everyone’s smiles I felt welcome.

Went to the one in VA beach for Mother's Day Brunch. The kids loved the playground and everyone enjoyed themselves and the food. Feedback is that they filled the champagne flutes too much, so there wasn't enough room for the fruit juice to make a proper mimosa but I had a fix for that ;) otherwise can't complain...it was lovely!

I absolutely love coming here. This is a wonderful place to find any plant, herb, garden/patio accessory you could ever need. They just recently added a coffee shop, Pangaea, which will be expanded soon. There is a boutique section with apparel and accessories for everyone, and a cafe/lunch area - Sage Kitchen offers great lunch options.

Terrific garden center! So much more than plants! Where to begin?!?!
You can find gifts for everyone you know! You can find clothing, shoes, ornaments, fancy pots, ordinary pots, lotions, soaps, toys, home decor, and outdoor EVERYTHING! From basic garden tools to elaborate trellises, simple bedding plants to hard to find specialty plants this store won’t disappoint!
Today we purchased a few garden plants, tomato ties, mosquito repellent, compost, and a few gifts from the discount room.
The customer service is outstanding! We were greeted several times and spoke with an associate who easily answered our gardening questions. Check out was fast and easy. Our purchases were boxed and bagged for us.
We loved the bright, open store, and the fact that all the plants were healthy and a good size. This is our third time to shop and purchase at Anderson’s. We are new to the area and are so happy to have such a fantastic garden center close by!

This place is amazing!! Beautiful selection of so many healthy plants, flowers, shrubs and trees! Lots of colored pottery, planters and decor! I am in love with variety of items for indoors and out! The is not your typical box store by no means! I thought I would take the twenty two minute drive from Portsmouth and maybe buy a plant or two. Oh no! The back of my Jeep is packed full of beautiful plants in bloom with many buds to follow! So worth the short drive! Now stopping in their eatery Sage for a lite lunch!

It is indeed a nice nursery. The people who work there seem nice. However, they have a very bad infestation of aphids in their herb area. I bought about 30 dollars of herbs. Please be careful of what you buy there. The infestation spread to some of my other plants. I'm very upset about this. I let them know about it in the greenhouse. No one offered to replace or refund the plants. I will never go there again.

If you are a plant lover this is the place for you. Multiple large greenhouses with large variety. We did not purchase food from the cafe during our visit but this was also larger than expected. The clothing and boutique items are laughably overpriced so can't give more stars for that reason. The large pottery selection seemed fairly priced though.

Visit Immediately, such a treat of a location!!
I made the trip to this nursery after driving by and never making the time before, I should have stopped way sooner!! What a selection! Definitely don’t make the same mistake, visit them asap (feb 11 2026- perennials/shrubs/trees/select outside pots- were 40% off )
The staff here was incredibly knowledgeable about anything and everything. I chatted with one gentleman about shrubs for a good bit and was able to narrow down the best choice for my location and dream for the landscaping I’m doing. Another woman was more than willing and helpful with information about their amazing selection of Air-Plants. Not to mention the prices for selection puts the big box stores to shame.

Take the time, grab a friend or an afternoon and visit this oasis of a garden center.

This place is HUGE. That have an assortment of uncommon to rare plants worth looking at. Probably among the better selections here in Virginia for plant lovers. Wife was very happy.
