Receiving junk mail constantly is one thing and it's quite annoying especially considering I've never been a customer, but to go onto my property, ring the doorbell and to have my dog bark for a couple minutes only to wake my sick child and myself up is unacceptable. Stopping techs from ringing doorbells of noncustomers would be a good practice and common courtesy. What's the problem with leaving the pamphlet with the other junk mail you send in the mail box or just leaving it on the knob without ringing the bell ?? Besides that I tried calling the number the tech left and it didn't even work, so what was the point?

I had TruGreen service and I was very satisfied with my Service Tech Andy. On the 21st I had a different Tech, Rebecca. I was totally dissatisfied with her service or lack there of and I called in to complain. I told them I did want her back. They said they would schedule me another service for the I was dissatisfied with and guess what! Rebecca called and said she was here to do my service. I cancel my service and then today as I was returning home from walking my dog, guess what? Rebecca was sitting in front of my house getting ready to a service! Totally dissatisfied!

The service coordinator who came out today was polite, let us know he was there, made sure he did all parts of the lawn, front and back, and seemed concerned that he do a good job...and he did.

Dexter knocked my door and talked me first on the service he would do. He is the first person to do this and I really like him. He’s polite and professional. He did a great job.

Before moving to Tallahassee I had TruGreen in another city. Their service was pretty good and results were good. We had the same tech for quite a long time and he always engaged and let us know what he was doing. Moved to Tallahassee 6 years ago and eventually hired TruGreen. Service was mediocre at best and then about a month ago they mixed their chemicals improperly and killed my grass in many places. Tech even admitted this and that it affected about 10 other yards. Contacted them, supplied them with photos and dealt with a nice customer service person who said she would have a manager call. It's been weeks now and multiple emails with no call or email from a manager. Multiple emails to customer care lady who seemed frustrated as well. Look at their recent Google reviews. All 1's. Only good reveiews are from years ago. Probably new staff and management from what might have been a competent company. Stay away from this outfit. You'll be glad you did.

Keep telling them to cancel service but they keep showing up and charging my credit card biggest scam ever!!!

This is only the second time in over 300 reviews that I have rated a business with only a single star. Initially, I contacted Trugreen and arranged for service. I explained that I would like to meet the person and witness the first application. I was told it would be 5 to 7 days. I asked them to be a little more specific...is it 5 or is it 7 days. Finally I received a text the day before my scheduled service. I chose to stay at home and prepare my lawn for the service. I began receiving text around 10 am. The schedule changed 4 times finally saying they would arrive between 5:26 and 7:30 pm. Two minutes later, I received a text stating that they were unable to provide service on Wednesday and would come by another day. My feeling is that I am the customer and that my time is just as important as Trugeen's. I believe that since I am paying for the service, I should have a little input on when I would like to receive service. I suggest another company like Florida Pest Control or Esposito's. They are much more responsive to the customers wishes. I wish TruGreen the best of luck in their future. I will be glad to teach customer relation skills to your service employees and especially your management team. I will be on time and do it with no charge.

This product absolutely does a fantastic job. . . . just can't get the service guys to actually do the job - all I wanted was to give them money (not a small amount either) for a service. There were problems with every visit to the property. First trip was good. . although they almost killed one of my new trees, second they did half the front yard and none of the back but charged me for all. . then complained to them and the guy that came out to fix that issue completed the front yard and half of the back. This final trip, they do not have the ability to get through the front gate to the subdivision even though the code is on my file, and I am listed on the gate keypad directly which will call me and I can let them in from anywhere.

BEWARE: Beyond disappointment & angry with TruGreen.

I got just the opposite, my lawn looks worse!
My lawn had an adverse reaction to their chemicals. The chemicals caused the front & side yard to have large island sized bald spots which now has algae growing on them. This creates a slip hazard & possibly the risk of spreading throughout lawn.
My rear lawn, which is a relaxation area for me and my doggy companion is yellowing & dying. I should have known something was going wrong when My dog stopped wanting to play around in backyard. She'd rather stay on the concrete patio!
It's most disheartening that the Corporate office & local managers are not taking accountability for the damage caused by them.
Instead they are now saying that my yard must have been all weeds & the hay the algae was there prior to service which is not true based on their own initial assessment.

We have only had Tru Green for a year but I can already see a difference in our lawn. ‘D’ is really great in taking care of all our issues with the lawn. We are happy with the service with Tru Green.

Signed up for a service plan over the phone. However, was then concerned that no one had seen my yard before making up a treatment plan. Asked for a lawn survey prior to any treatments and asked that the tech call the AM of the appointment so I could be home. Never showed up until almost 5pm. Waiting all day and then called me from my driveway. Very unprofessional. I was assured he'd call before heading over. Let's just say between that experience, other reviews and the extremely aggressive way they automatically schedule treatments, without regard for if or when they are needed: I cancelled the service today after getting an automated call about another scheduled visit for Monday. The lawn analysis just done last night was for naught. They just resumed the same schedule. They are all about monthly visits and charges. Also appears the quality can range from ok to very poor depending on the tech. Not for me.

Hope the treatments work for my yard. App is easy to use but yesterday I noticed a charge for a service that has not been done yet. Even a ticket with the name of the specialist and time of service was created on my account. I was at my house all day yesterday and nobody from their company showed up but I've been already charged $420 for a job not done. Now, I'm supposed to be scheduled for next week which is ok, but I wonder if the company would send somebody if it wasn't for us calling.

Professional, personable, and helpful. Explained what was going on, how to keep my yard looking good, and how to keep pets and people safe.

Neither of service people bothered to let me know they were there on 1st visit. Poor communication as to how service is done,3 people on 3 different trucks to get job done? Lucky for them dog was inside or they would have been bit. 3rd guy sent text at 7am saying they are coming at 10-1. 9am text will be there soon. 10 am unable to do service? I had to call 2times to figure out the guy didn't have product on truck and they would not return for a week.Why not next day??

Representative was very helpful and courteous. I just reminded them or informed them of the special needs of our neighborhood. For instance, we have to service and take care of the strip in front of our house by our mailbox and the strip behind our house over the sidewalk. Per our neighborhood, HOA those are the things that we need to take care of. I also asked if they would blow off any excess fertilizer into the grass from our driveways and walkways.

I’ve had three applications with TruGreen thus far and I’ve been happy. My yard initially was full of weeds and they have killed those off. We are just entering the growing season so I can’t comment on what my yard will look like once it greens up but I’m hopeful. I’ve appreciated the technicians attitude the time I met him. Hopefully it continues to go well.

Although I have been with Tru Green for years, I have had issues with some of the technicians not completing the treatment in my venture property. Some of them deliberately do not go into the backyard but still report a completed service. However, when I call to complain the management usually make an effort to correct the problems.
There have been times that I request that a certain technicians do not return because of the lack of integrity. Some of them do the right thing most of the time.

I appreciate the quality service especially from my technician, Dequaderick F. He is very conscientious and polite.

Stay away from this Tallahassee company! They don't deserve the one star but you have to select one to post your comment. We watch them on our outdoor cameras pull up in their truck, sit for 10 minutes and leave. Most of the time they don't show up at all and send a text saying that they did the work. The times where they did do some work, they stayed for 10 minutes to treat our large yard and left. Weeds everywhere! A complete scam! If you cancel the service, and you really should, be sure to have them send you an email confirming the cancellation and have your account removed from the website or they will continue to bill your card on file. So disgusted by this company!
