I would like to give them -2 stars but there is no option for this. I ordered tree and shrub fertilization, they showed up knocked on the door wandered around my yard without doing anything and then sent me a work order for "horticultural oil application" (something I didnt order). There was nothing else on the work order but the person on the phone told me they did fertilize my trees, they just cant put more than one thing on the work order. While still on the phone she sent me a new work order with both items on it. I told her I wouldn't pay for the horticultural oil application because that was not something I asked for, she replied with it comes with the fertilization and its only $36 more. I had to explain to her that "comes with" means part of not in addition. She had a hard time wrapping her head around that. Needless to say I was not impressed with their service or their phone service so I told her to charge me for the fertilization and cancel all of my other services moving forward.
After getting off the phone with her I checked all my camera footage and the only thing their employee applied to my yard was a TruGreen sign. She knocked on the door then walked to one gate then the other (empty handed), got back in her truck and left. I would bet they get paid by how many work orders they fill in a day. I called to let them know that I wouldn't be paying for anything and I would like them to remove my card information from their records and all I got was a runaround from the lady. She repeatedly tried to get me to let them send a new tech out and continue using them. I had to get downright rude to get her to stop. She then told me I had to go online to remove my card so I tried. The system wouldn't let me remove my card without adding another. She told me that I needed to keep trying so I did and nothing. She told me to try back later. Like I have time to keep playing with this. I still have not been able to remove my card.

Signed up for their service because it sounded like a great deal. Waited a week for them to come out to my house. The day of their appointment no one showed up despite all their texts and maps showing where the tech was. I called them and told the “wonderful” customer service that they did not show up She told me it would be another week before they could come out again and my card was charged for a service they claim they did.

(Edit) A few days after their scheduled service and this review I got a call from Sandy asking some questions about the interaction I had with them. She was kind and friendly on the phone and it seemed that she did care about me as a customer and tried to remedy the situation. However the customer service that you call with the number on their website could be greatly improved. Overall I think they are a company with genuinely good people working for them. I was on the fence about paying someone to do my fertilizer and weed control after trying to work with TruGreen I will continue to do it myself as it is simpler and I am in total control of when it gets done.

We were a little apprehensive about going with TruGreen, as they are a little higher priced than others in the area and boy are we glad that we did. Our lawn looks beautiful and we couldn’t be happier! Thank You Sean & TruGreen!

I am a first-time customer with TruGreen lawn care. I must admit this has been a very seamless process. I went online, I made a phone call, I paid for all my services in advance, and my first service showed up five days later and the gentleman was very professional, and I am very impressed. No games, no upsells, just straightforward, great to work with. I would highly recommend them if you’re looking for a lawn care provider

Technician arrived to the location that I was working at and sprayed the chemicals they use on all of my tools and materials that I’m working with. He didn’t ask if he could move any of the material and sprayed over the top of them and near drinks my guys had around the site. Super unprofessional and customer service went nowhere

The Tech was very professional and courteous. He took the time to listen to my concerns and addressed them. Definitely 5 stars.

Joshua was very thorough making sure he took care of all the weeds in my yard. He also took the time to explain to me what he was doing and what to expect for future treatments. I really appreciate the great customer service he gave me along with doing a fabulous job. Thank you Joshua.

Hired these guys, paid upfront for the entire year. After almost 3 months they treated my front yard once. They did not notify when they would be out so we had to inspect daily as we have dogs. I was promised a money back guarantee. Upset and tired of being the only one interested in communication after they took my hard earned money, I canceled. They went on to accumulate charges though our agreement had been terminated. They do not honor their money back guarantee. I was issued a check for the remaining 6 months after prepayment of 1 year. My front lawn only was sprayed 1 time. These guys will steal your money and will not provide an honest effort to do the work promised.

We had TruGreen for a couple of years. Our backyard has had issues the entire time. (Brown, weeds and sparce grass) I called to cancel my services, as it wasn't seeming to help. They sent someone to do an evaluation and promised me free aeration and overseeding, pest control and some fertilizer to revive. A technician came a few weeks later and did one of the services. I then had a charge on my account for almost $500. I called and was told that there was no note of a free service and all they could do was give me 20% off the next service. I cancelled, since it has not been worth the high costs. My lawn was not green and healthy during any of the treatments and I was charged when I shouldn't have been.

The young man that came out to do my service was very knowledgeable, and he really impressed me with how much he knew and he was very professional. I would recommend him every time and I hope he comes out to service.My lawn each and every time from now on

Jared Shelton is a credit to the company with his polite, professional and kind manner. He is a competent, experienced long-time employee who takes time to understand the homeowner's situation and needs. I am glad to have such good service and care from TruGreen.

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!! The damage to your landscaping is not worth the weed control. We have beautiful 30-year old vines covering our chain link fence which TruGreen KILLED. Where TruGreen sprayed, our vines are fried and are dying from the bottom up. Where TruGreen DIDN'T spray and vines weren't next to the grass, our vines are fine. Sloppy and unprofessional work with dangerous chemicals. On top of that they have HORRIBLE customer service. We called to attempt to talk to a local manager about this issue and it has been 18 days and we have yet to talk to anyone local. Good luck getting past the call center folks.

Trugreen has been excellent for getting our lawn back in shape. Christian gets 2 thumbs up for his service today. He was very personable and listened to our instructions. We are very happy with the results!

Not even a 1 star!!! My poor grass is so dead!! I’ve reached out to their customer service and they said it’s a sprinkler problem…which doesn’t make sense because it’s not along my sprinkler track, and you can even see the places where they missed. And my sprinklers work the same as before I hired this horrific company. Now they won’t even respond. I can’t believe they’re still in business! Shouldn’t they have to fix this?

The employees are nice, which is where the positive ends. I used TruGreen years ago but stopped because of their inability to prevent crabgrass and stop weeds. After a couple of years I gave up and had to DIG out a bunch of patches. Got things looking good again, then schedules got rough so I went looking for someone to fertilize on a regular schedule. The neighbor recommended company had a full schedule, and other options were not looking so great. I decided to give TruGreen another shot.

They started treating my lawn once again at the beginning of the 2017 season. By mid-summer I had crab grass and weeds - not happy. With limited exception, when I called to get a re-treatment I would be told something like 'your regular treatment is coming up in a couple of weeks so we will take care of it then,' despite my insistence that we had a problem. I paid them though the year, never being satisfied.

This year I got a text saying my first treatment was scheduled. I called them and told them forget it. They gave me the we will get it right thing, and offered a free treatment. I told them I had serious doubts, but they insisted they would not charge and if I had any problems to call back in 10 days. Guess what - WEEDS all over the place a week after they treated. I call back and say I am done, they say they will come back out and fix it. I tell them with a decent amount of detail what the issues are - Clover in the park strip, crabgrass emerging near the end of the back yard, dandelion everywhere.

Well, they came back out and were very prompt. 4 Days later, worse than after the first visit. Insane. All the photos are from 4 days after the second visit. Remember, this company treated my lawn for all of last year as well!

If it were not for the people in the call center being nice, this would be a 1 star review.

Our lawn was green. We wanted to kill the weeds, Trugreen came out and sprayed and killed almost the whole yard. They refunded us for our treatments, and now that we are realizing that the grass isn't gonna come back, the employees investigating will not answer our texts. They killed our lawn, and then completely ignored our inquiries into getting it fixed. Because they know they would have to resod it. WORST EXPERIENCE WITH A COMPANY I HAVE EVER HAD! Do not let these crooks take your money, they will destroy your lawn and ignore you afterwards.

First couple of services went just fine. The 5th service though, all hell broke loose. They missed two scheduled appointments, and then when the tech did arrive to finally service the lawn, they DESTROYED MY LAWN. I’m not just saying they killed a spot here or there, it’s as if a 4 year old tried to fertilize my lawn. You can see the pictures below of the damage that was done.

The worst part of all of this though, is the unprofessional customer service system they have. Call a generic call center around the country to then be told the area manager will call you in 48 hrs? When Mike, the area manager did call, he called at 7:00am!!! Who calls that early? Since I didn’t answer, I have yet to get in contact with him. I’ve called him back multiple times, left messages, even text him. Since he had his read receipts on, I saw that he read my messages but was dodging me… need to have my lawn fixed because I have a family backyard social in a week and a half…

My grass has never looked so bad. I started them last Season and my grass is dying. I’m watering it. They have done something, not happy
