Oh it was just wonderful! The staff was very friendly and helpful, plus there's cute kitties running around.

I love shopping here and love how everyone is so kind and knowledgeable. I appreciate all the help they offer! Obviously a little pricey but I think it’s worth it to support a local business. Definitely recommend!

I honestly wish I could give way more stars because the place was beautifully decorated, the people were friendly, the greenhouse was full of all kinds plants, succulents, pottery, soil, and it was very well organized! And a worker (Mike?) was so kind to help me find what I needed and he took the time to answer my questions about a few plant issues I'm having at home. I was a first-time customer, but I will definitely buy all of my gardening supplies from Ritter's now. Good customer service is sooooo hard to come by anymore, let alone GREAT customer service. Thanks so much for everything today!!! I look forward to joining the nursery for one of your fun classes and workshops soon. 😀

I spent a hundred dollars on a sick plant. It began dropping leaves as soon as I got it home, and it's barely alive now. I visited Ritter's for advice on care for the plant, and all I got was more charges for insecticide that didn't help. They told me that once I left the store, they were no longer responsible. What worthless customer service!
On the other hand, I bought the same plant at Northwest Seed and Pets for a third of the price, and that plant has thrived. Just because Ritter's has a good reputation doesn't mean they are helpful to their customers.
Stay away.

Awesome place for Christmas decorations and they eve have two reindeer you can check out during the holidays. Will definitely go back.

Amazing gift shop and nursery in Spokane. We love to visit in every season for their gifts and changing merchandise. Mature and beautiful houseplants here as well as outdoor plants make the nursery very well rounded for any gardener.

Do not go to this store if you have a service dog. They have an aggressive cat that came after my wife’s service dog today. When we mentioned it to an employee, she said that the cat lives there, laughed, and walked away. When we called the manager they said they would “keep an eye on the cat for the day”. Having your service dog harassed can negate years of training if it causes the dog to become reactive. Then the handler has to limit going into stores until the dog has moved past the incident. Needless to say you have lost our family as customers, and we will be letting other people with service dogs know that they should avoid this business.

Any distraction to a service dog can cause problems for the disabled person. By having a cat on the premises that is known to hide and hiss at people and animals you run the chance of hampering the dog’s ability to do its tasks. While we were talking to some friends of ours that have also been customers of yours we have learned that the cat also hisses and follows people around. Seems like it would be better for the cat and your business for it to be somewhere more comfortable.

Best quality and selection of trees in the Spokane area. Excellent selection. The employees are very knowledgeable and helpful.

Hands down one of my favorite greenhouses to go to. The selection and dedication they have is too notch. Always love stopping in and seeing what they have for new stuff. I found my Begonia Ferox here and it was an amazing find. Spring at this place is my favorite get away.

Really disappointed. I purchased a plant a week ago & brought it back with my receipt and showed them the black leaves it’s been dropping. They refused to return it for a new one or help me bring it back to life. The customer service is terrible and the return policy is ridiculous. I have gotten plants from here throughout the years and most of them don’t last 6 months. And I have a house full of beautiful plants! Theirs is the only ones that don’t last. I went here because it was close to my house.. I will never be giving them my services again and will drive farther for better business. Most expensive plant shop in Spokane.. not worth my time or money.

What a fun place to go spend a couple hours looking at all the beautiful unique plants and local and interesting gifts. Their plants are the best!!! They have hard to find and speciality plants. The one that caught my eye was this gorgeous house plant called ‘candy corn’ though I think they look more like little goldfish! All plants are healthy! The staff was so amazingly friendly and answered all the questions my 95 yr old grandma asked as well as my 4 yr old. And there were a lot of questions!! The gift shop had a bunch of retro candy that was fun to look through and try a couple of. If your visiting Spokane stop by and see some local talent in horticulture.

"Ritters critters" ( AKA ..the awesome staff) are always knowledgeable and willing to help with all your gardening needs..wide selection of soil and amendments that are not typically available at other garden shops. If you need a gift for someone and want something really interesting or different..this is the spot. I don't know any other place in town where everyone gets really excited when the beneficial bugs arrive for the season..just lovely 🐞

Have known this business since I was a kids. They have a kids tree house and play area and a great selection of plants. I have always loved their business. They also have 2 cats inside! I got a little lavender plant from them and I love it.

I brought my own peanut basket to have planted in March. What I received was $50 worth of plants for $240 when I picked it up in May. When asking why it was so expensive, I was told it was because products were costing more in China. What? The plants? I brought on my own basket! I miss Mels. Go anywhere else. Greed has taken over Ritters.
