Ron did such a thorough cleaning of the area around the fireplace, that I could not tell that he had been here. He also told me about damaged shingles that are located between the chimney and ridge vent. Something we would not notice from the ground.
My experience with Basic Chimney Sweep was great. Mr. Callais was very professional and explained to me exactly what repairs were necessary and how they were acheived. He called to follow up after the repair was made and even came out to check the repairs himself after the fact. He further suggested I become an Angie's List customer (which I did) so that I could see other people's reviews of him and other contractors in the area.

The crew arrived as expected. Within about 30 minutes, they had our gas fireplace and chimney inspected and running. (We are in a new house, so we wanted to have it checked out before we turned it on.) Everyone was friendly and had a great demeanor. Price was right too! They even let me make a video of them showing how to start it and all of the different parts of the unit. (I'm a newbie to a gas fireplace.)
I had my dryer duct work cleaned today and they were amazing! They were on time (early, actually!), and inspected everything: at the dryer, in the attic, and the cap where it vents on the roof. He explained everything to me and was professional and friendly. Definitely recommend!
