Amazing pruning of live oak. No doubt about it—they know the most when it comes to live oaks. They are not inexpensive but worth every penny. Crew is wonderful and so caring and loving when it comes to these gorgeous trees.

Wow! These guys did a great job on my live oak and oak tree! Very professional, prompt, and friendly! They even helped us hang our grandkids’ new tree swing! Will definitely use them again and recommend them to everyone!!

This was the second company I had set an appointment with to get a quote on removal of a fallen branch in my live oak that is hanging above my roof who just didn’t show. I had to schedule them (for just a quick 15 minute visit by someone who is able to say the job will cost X and we can do it on Y date) roughly a week out because their availability did not mesh well with my work schedule- I would say this means they’re under staffed. The reason for the 1 star is because the morning of the appointment I got a call that they were not going to be by and would be able to reschedule for another week later, because more lucrative work had come up.

I literally just needed someone to set up a date as long as the service was within my budget. They threw me away. So I’m leaving them a 1 star review. May have excellent results when they actually do what they say they will but hiring them is impossible.

David and his guys were a pleasure to work with. I had David come give me a quote on some work. A couple Days later we had a bad wind and rain storm come through the Gonzales area. One of my palm trees went down and and went into my pool. David was quick to fit me in to the schedule and his guys did a great job with their work. They were prompt, did their job, then cleaned up. Would highly recommend and use again.

Can’t say enough about my experience with these guys. Ran into some issues with my tree that required substantially more work that would have scared off other companies. Bayou not only handled the issue professionally and safely, but took extra measures to ensure the work would be completed as promised, not affecting the closing date on my house. Already planning on using him for future work at my new residence in Southdowns.

A tree fell on our home on a Saturday and within about 45 minutes David was out here with recommendations on how to proceed in a situation not familiar to us. Within two-three hours he had a crew assembled, a large crane, a wood chipper, stump grinder, and worked hard until the job was done! Even put a tarp over the damaged roof and called the city to notify them of a cracked pipe needing repair. Highly recommend. Guided us through the whole process! Excellent service!

Had Bayou Tree Svc prune my Live Oak’s, and remove a few smaller trees on my property. Dave (the owner) was both professional and approachable. Most importantly, the work done by his crew was as envisioned... right down to the cleanup.I plan on using his services in the future.

I began using Bayou Tree Service back in 2014 and was so impressed with their knowledge and quality of work, I have only hired Bayou Tree Service since! Just a few weeks ago, my large oak tree needed a trim and once again it was a great job!!

Bayou Tree Service removed a bald cypress from our front yard that had started to damage our neighbors' buried plumbing. They were prompt and worked with breathtaking efficiency, and they left our yard looking better than it was when they started. I would recommend them wholeheartedly to anyone looking for professional tree removal.

Woke up this morning to a huge Bayou Tree truck blocking my 3-car-wide (very obvious) driveway while working on my neighbor’s tree. I am an attorney and had to get to court for 8:30am sharp but Bayou Tree had other plans for my day. I called and called and was eventually passed on to some manager named Lee who told me he would “do his best” to track down the truck driver so I could get out of my driveway. I even tried searching for the driver but he was nowhere to be found. Had to call the city to have them cited and moved. Hate to have to do that but the lack of professionalism left me no choice. An hour and a half plus a $42 Uber downtown later…. Funnily enough I was talking to a colleague about this headache of a morning Bayou saddled me with and we agreed that we have never seen a Bayou truck NOT blocking a roadway.

Here is my review on Bayou from a customer’s perspective: A few weeks ago I myself had a tree removed. Got a quote from Bayou and it was double the going rate. Average of three other quotes was $2,500 while Bayou quoted me just under $6k for the same scope of work. I decided to go with Tin’s who had the same qualifications and insurance coverage. As it is not a big secret when the work will be done, Tin’s communicated with my neighbors to let them know ahead of time if they would have to be in their way. A simple flyer with the date of work, projected timing, and contact info for the person in charge was all it took. Very professional! Bayou didn’t have to block my driveway to get the work done today, that was just their personal preference. I would have appreciated the heads up! While I cannot speak to Bayou’s quality of work, I am glad that didn’t book them for more reasons than one.

Bayou Tree didn’t do a job for me, it was actually for the subdivision across the street from me. I have been noticing different crews working the subdivision over a 4 year time frame and the way people work together and foremen. A crew from Bayou Tree came out to remove some trees at this development site. These 3 guys were AWESOME the boss didn’t just show his crew what trees to remove and leave. This boss communicated with his crew and worked with his crew, he seemed to be the type of boss people dream of working for and his crew seem to appreciate this as well. This crew seemed to enjoy their job and took pride in their work. This crew seem to work so well together like a hand in glove, like they have been working together for years. When this crew was finished the whole area they worked to remove the trees was cleared, except for some saw dust, there wasn’t a sign of a tree, and they clean up like you wouldn’t believe. As an observer, I say this because they didn’t work for me, but for the developer of the subdivision, if these guys are a reflection of Bayou Tree, then Bayou Tree is also AWESOME.
