When we decided to build our pool, the first thing we did, of course, was ask our friends with pools about their experience with their pool contractor. Almost all of them had lots of complaints about being over budget, going weeks without any work being done, or even worse, work being rushed so they could get to the next job.

We had decided to wait. One afternoon my wife mentioned that Andrew Elston was building pools. I knew Andrew had been involved with home-building with a very reputable and honest builder and had even worked on a construction project at our house years ago.

So we gave him a call to talk about our ideas. Andrew met with us, talked about location, what we wanted to do, how much we were wanting to spend and a few days later came back with a proposal, sketches, and a construction timeline.

We never called anyone else. We never felt like we needed to. Andrew was so professional, so prepared and so attentive to what we wanted that it just seemed like calling anyone else would have been more delays.

Our pool was built on time and on the budget we wanted. His sub-contractors were professional and attentive to details. They showed up when they said and were cleaned up and gone just as quickly.

There's a comfort level using a contractor that you know has learned from the best. There's personal satisfaction when you look back at the end of the job and ask yourself "would I do this again with this contractor?" The answer to that question is - "without a doubt."

Elston Construction built our gunite pool, and we’ve been very happy with the whole process. The decision to build a pool is not one that we took lightly. Andrew Elston and the team at Elston Construction Co are very professional in the planning, construction, and now delivery of our pool. We absolute love the design and the timeliness of completion. I would not change one thing about my decision to build a pool using Elston Construction Co. Andrew Elston was so helpful and very personable through the whole process from design planning to build and then follow-up with "pool school." We really were able to work with him and all his wonderful subcontractors to build the dream pool we have always wanted. He captured our vision and gave us 3 of his previous customer contacts that we were able to visit with before settling on final design. They all were very happy with their process so we knew we could trust him guiding this process. The pool dig started September 4, we were able to swim for 1st time on November 4. We waited till Thanksgiving week to be able to heat and use our pool robot. All 6 grandkids and family enjoyed the new experience of the pool in our backyard. Andrew has been available for questions. All the subcontractors including for tile, stone, concrete, fencing, electric and plumbing were timely and efficient. We would use each of them again if needed for their specialty. The stone work for the waterfall, slide, jump rock, and natural "shower" on the back side is so much more beautiful than we ever imagined. Adolfo, working on stone, brought us a beautiful natural waterfall that reminds us of one of our favorite places in Arkansas.... Petite Jean State Park. After searching the internet for local builders, doing our research and talking with people who recently built pools, we decided on Andrew. His website was user friendly and from asking around we knew he already had a great reputation. The very first day we met him, he spent a couple hours with us listening to our wants and even looking at all the pictures I had saved, he was so patient as we threw a hundred ideas at him. He was able to take everything we asked for and add some things to make it even better than we could have imagined. Andrew listens and was really easy to work with and talk too. He was here during every part of the process either working or overseeing everything. We now have one of the most beautiful pools in Shreveport-Bossier, we are beyond proud of how everything turned out!! We were sad to see him pull up his sign when it was all over, he came in as our builder but left as our friend. I would recommend him everytime!!

We first talked with Andrew Elston in February about building a pool in our backyard. Filling of the pool began on April 18! The entire process was marked by professionalism and attention to detail. I have been extremely happy with the work that was done on my new pool, by Elston Construction. With all the rain we had this spring they did everything possible to keep things moving (pumps in the ground where they dug, wall bracing to help stop the dirt from caving in)
Andrew was always on top of calling me if there was a change in the schedule, or if he was running behind for an appointment. As a previous business owner that was much appreciated. People lack communication these days which can be very frustrating. I have had multiple things done on my new property (and old property) since I moved to Louisiana and I would highly recommend Elston Construction for not only their professionalism, their work ethic and responsiveness. But also for their kindness for a older lady that had lost her trust in people. Couldn’t be happier with the whole pool experience. Andrew and his team did an awesome job from start to finish. From design (helped design pool around an existing stamped concrete patio) to balancing the water after completion. Even had a transformer fail on the first day with lights and they were quick to respond and replace. Did a great job of keeping site as clean as possible by putting up barriers during gunite and plaster installation. Would definitely recommend them to family and friends.

I couldn’t have asked for a better experience with our pool build. Andrew had great communication, organization, and work was quality when completed. He was the only builder who really took our yard, existing patio, and slope into consideration when designing. We signed our contract towards the end of Feb 2024 and were swimming May 17th. We are so glad we chose Elston Construction and love our pool!
