Was looking forward to working with the business given the great reviews and I hear it's black-owned. Unfortunately when I called to schedule an appointment they said they would arrive between 10a-12p and verbally gave me the minimum cost up front. I was told to text my contact information and address. After doing so, I never received an appointment confirmation. I took off a day of work and texted again for confirmation. I finally got through to someone around 12:30 and they said they were running about 3 hours behind from a different job.

I would have appreciated a heads up they were running behind, but I understand things don't always go as planned. I continued waiting for the remainder of the day and no call, no show. Highly disappointed.

I highly recommend J. Marin. Obviously, we were in need of air conditioning repair. J. Marin showed up punctually, diagnosed the problem, and went the extra mile of driving to a shop for parts though the proprietor was not answering the phone. Marin repaired the ac in under two hours, charged a fair price, and was personable throughout. Our ac has worked perfectly since Marin tended to it, and so it may be awhile before we need to turn to him again. But when we do need a future repair, we will absolutely use Marin again. - Scherer/Perkins

The service was excellent I couldn't be happier. Mr Marin and his crew installed a new AC in less than 8 hours. A very pro work, efficient and quick. He himself took care of every detail and was supervising days later that everything was running well.

I feel like there needs to be a rating system that exceeds 5, and much of what Julien does goes well beyond what is expected as a professional and highly responsive individual. I contacted him about a heating issue and he stated that he'd be able to come by the end of the day, and in the worst case scenario, tomorrow. He called back within 15 minutes, because he had to wait on an order for a later job, and "he was just in the neighborhood". His responsiveness is excellent, and his ability to problem solve is impeccable. After years, I still highly recommend.

I needed a whole A/C system replaced. J. Marin gave me multiple options, explained each one, and installed a new system quickly and for the agreed upon price. In a business with a lot of bad actors, J. Marin is NOT one of them! I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Fantastic job! My heater stopped working and Mr. Marin was able to fix it. He also called the manufacturer and found out that my system was still under warranty, saving me a LOT of money. Our air went out on a Sunday. I called several people but J. Marin was the first one to call me back. They were not able to come out same day but came first thing Monday morning. Super quick and efficient. They were able to get the job done quickly and very cost effective. I highly recommend them to anyone experiencing heating or cooling problems. They will diagnose prior to doing any work.

These guys are awesome. I called them at 10AM to repair a condensing unit that was not cooling and they were on site in 30 minutes and had the unit cooling before noon! I highly recommend them and I will absolutely use them again! Great job guys!

My experience: I called J. after my AC broke down. He came by immediately, diagnosed the problem and ordered the parts. He told me he would be by in the morning with the new parts to replace everything. He was there at 8 in the morning, repaired my AC, and called later that night to make sure everything was working correctly.

He’s a master of this trade and its business. He can sell you a filter, make any repair, he can replace the whole system, all of which he’s done for me. A most amicable guy and he never keeps you waiting. Cheap too. Quite a mighty fine business this is.

Very happy I went with J Marin for my heater repair! They went through the extra time to thoroughly investigate multiple components of the issues we were having and had us up and running in about an hour. They even came same day sparing us another day/night in the cold! Incredibly professional and detailed and explained everything so thoroughly in a way that made me understand the root of the issue and things we could do to help alleviate any issues we were having. I totally recommend using this company. J went above and beyond to make sure that my 98yr old dad’s heating system was repaired properly, and in an extremely timely matter. He even installed a new thermostat. My dad’s unit is an off brand older unit, other companies would’ve probably just opted to sell me a newer unit instead of looking for parts, but J found the parts. We found J. Marin Heating and Air through an internet search. We needed to replace an AC condenser and had already tried working with 3 other HVAC companies without success. They either failed to followup or gave us ridiculous quotes. J stopped by right away and presented us with several options, all at what I believe were very reasonable prices. We decided to go forward. His crew came within 2 days. J was on-site to supervise and make sure all was done safely and without any damage to our house or gutters. (The unit was on the roof). He and his crew were both friendly and professional. The unit is working as expected and we couldn't be more satisfied.
