Casey was absolutely delightful! He was very friendly and informative and knew exactly how to explain everything. He was detailed and patience as well.

My house has dim, flickering light, partial loss of service on Friday afternoon after Christmas day. Pretty much every company is closed, and one emergency service said they will call us back but never did.

Chesapeake Electric not only took our call but was able to stop by within hours.

Ethan and his associate were so nice and professional. Did the testing and were able to point to BGE because the problem is on utility side. I wouldn't know that if they haven't told us.

If you need emergency service to quickly, accruarately diagnose the problem, this is a great option.

We are super happy with the work done by Ian and team at Chesapeake Electric. Our condo had no ceiling lights and was very dark, so we had Chesapeake wire and install lights in our living space and bedroom. They also installed a chandelier, some new bathroom fans, and a ceiling fan in the office. Everyone was super professional, on time, and they cleaned up really thoroughly after they were finished. They also did their best to mitigate drywall damage, which I appreciate. We are very, very happy with the results, and we have so much more light! We highly recommend Chesapeake Electric and will definitely use them again if we need any more electrical work done.

We had an outlet that was crackling and causing outages throughout our apartment, so we needed someone to come help us asap. Once we called Chesapeake Electric, Ethan and Casey were onsite within 2 hours. They both were incredibly friendly and helpful, and diagnosed the issue quickly. Ethan took the time to take me through my options and went out of his way to make sure I understood each one. When Ethan and Casey had to leave due to scheduling, Terry and David came through and were just as friendly and knowledgeable. They fixed my issue quickly, took the time to explain everything that they did/found, and Terry even pointed out an outlet in my bathroom that wasn't up to code and offered to add it to their scope. I had an incredible experience and could not recommend Chesapeake Electric's services more. We will absolutely use their services again and will be specifically requesting to work with Ethan, Casey, Terry, and David. Thank you!!!

Excellent folks to work with. Very professional, prompt and did a great job. I will say it was a bit more money than I wanted to spend for the work I had done, but I know its done right so in the end its worth it to me. Would definitely call them again if I need electrical work done.

Had a very large service completed including a new updated electrical panel, grounding and surge protection for entire house, new integrated fire alarm system, emergency electrical shut off and new outlets throughout home. The team worked diligently and accomplished tasks with great professionalism. Will Jerez led the team. His was training apprentice electricians and monitoring their work as well as completing his own. His attention to detail and organization was impeccable. The inside wiring of the electrical panel is a work of art! Customer service and text alerts with photos and bio of employees is a great touch! And the follow through for permits and scheduling of inspections with Tre are great! Thank you all!

I have never written a company review online but was so dissatisfied I felt compelled to write this one. I ordered a bathroom vent replacement - I took out the old one and gave them dimensions of the space for replacement. Two representatives came and spent 2 hours trying to upsell me at ridiculous amount. I said I just wanted the vent fan - he said we have the best one for you. So those two left and another rep came hours later to install the recommended fan and said it won't fit in that space. He talked to the office and they said "make it work". So he did the best he could but now I have a fan that only comes on when the light is on, after a 15 second delay and a heater that comes on only after a 30 second delay. Plus I have a big hole in my ceiling and the vent was many times more expensive than one from an electrician I used a few years ago. This is the most dissatisfied I have ever been with a service company and I would never recommend them and I will never use them. Proceed at your own risk.

Chesapeake Energy provided fast, efficient, and thorough service. Brian did a great job. He communicated with me throughout the process. A great experience!!

Master electrician was dispatched on the same day as my request. Showed up on time, fully equipped to do the job. Installed two ring cameras and replaced an old motion detector spot light. Threw in a whole house surge protector on the main breaker panel for good luck. A blustery, chilly day, Brian preserved and finished up all projects. Friendly and professional. Will enlist Chesapeake to fix up overdue electrical work in south AA county, too.

Exemplary service! Shannon was the lead on our project. He replaced our electrical panel and did the recessed lighting in our living room. Shannon did a great job explaining each step and set proper expectations for the end result (which was gorgeous). Shout out to Zion and Brian as well both were super polite and helpful. I will definitely be coming back to this company for more updates on our electric as the never ending home renovations continue. As someone who has spent years working with in home service techs these guys really set the bar. The work was completed in a timely manner and they did an excellent job in treating my home with care!

I had two appliances not working so I called Chesapeake Electric to check the power from my meter thru the circuit breaker box and to the appliance. All was good. They suggested a power surge from the super windy weather we had was probably the problem. They offered 3 different packages for surge protection. We went with the simplest and least expensive. They came back the next day and installed it.
Due to time constraints on my part I didn't have time to get competitive bids. This was not inexpensive but I have no idea if it was a good or bad price.

Save your money. They are salespeople first and electricians second. Our power had been going in and out for a week, and so they came out. Yes they have a good response time and seem very professional. But the “technician” searched around our house for an hour and came back with “option levels” starting at $22k down to $5k. These ALL included some sort of ridiculous extras like new smoke detectors, installing a missing light, and smart lightswitches. When asked what the actual problem with our power was, he didn’t have an answer and said he would probably need to work with BGE, and something that he replaced would probably fix the issue. So I called BGE myself. They came out 2 hours later, turns out there was a bad connection at the pole. Meaning there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with the house, completely free to fix. So yeah, if you have $22,000 lying around and would like some new fancy smoke detectors as part of their Premium Platinum Plus package, give them a call.

Chesapeake Electric is the only company I will use when it comes to all of my electrical needs. This is based on Chesapeake’s reliability, integrity, fair pricing, honesty, and quality workmanship/performance of their techs. Today I want to take the time to acknowledge Tyler Knox. Tyler was extremely helpful concerning my latest electrical needs. He took his time, being extremely thorough while walking me through every detail explaining everything he was doing in layman terms for me to understand. He is truly an asset for your company and another reason why I always recommend Chesapeake to anyone having electrical needs.

Our experience with this company has been excellent! We had an outlet in a bedroom start sparking and this company sent someone out immediately to assist. Christian came through and evaluated our home, noting aluminum wiring tied into the outlets which caused damage to that particular box and resulted in an electrical fire. Christian was very transparent and open about available packages and prices for services to replace our outlets and switches to a safe standard.

Katie’s courtesy texts ahead of appointments were extremely helpful. Their office was also very understanding and flexible when it came to scheduling changes.

They are were very professional, knowledgeable, and attentive to our questions and concerns. They were transparent with the plans for our services and made sure we understood prior to starting each day.

They noted any issues they came across during their work. They even educated us on our system, informed and showed us where there were signs of wear, and told us what to look for in the future to ensure our safety.

The staff and technicians at Chesapeake Electric are fantastic, professional and thorough. We had 2 outlets go out and they were able to diagnose and recommend replacing the outdated aluminum wires that were powering our outlets. They gave us a reasonable deal and we had a lot of our outlets replaced. Technicians Jimmy and Germaine (I hope I spelled his name correctly) were awesome and exceeded my expectations. They were thorough and professional. After they left, I thought I noticed an outlet not working in the garage that had been replaced and called and technician Jimmy turned right around to address the issue. It turned out that I had made a mistake and plugged in the wrong device thinking it wasn’t working. The new outlet was fine. It was my error and Jimmy was understanding and professional about it. Our family will be doing business with Chesapeake Electric going forward as we have signed on to their yearly home advantage plan. Thank you to all the staff and technicians at Chesapeake Electric!
