The work Ian from Chesapeake Electric did today was top notch. He was super professional, kind, and well versed in his expertise. He identified some issues that were outside his wheelhouse too that is super good to know so we can get those things fixed. Our new exhaust fan is awesome, and the work done was top notch. On top of that, Ian did an excellent job cleaning up after his work. That should be standard but I haven't found it so and I'm so happy to be treated like we mattered and the work needed to be held to the highest standard.

Casey, the technician was very professional and polite. He explained before, during and after. Was very knowledgeable and showed me that he cared. He fixed my issue and I’m pleased with the service. Thanks you Casey and Chesapeake Electric

I tried calling Chesapeake Electric and felt like the “guy” named “Shawn” I was talking to was so annoying with his responses and pauses with typing noises, finally asked if he was a human, nope was talking to AI for an entire 7 minutes 🤦‍♀️ There should be transparency up front that you are talking to a cheesy bot. I canceled to call a place that has a human/professional to talk to.

Great team very professional. Will hire them again. You can trust the company and workers. Left the house for two hours walking the dogs. No worries.

Christian, Terry and crew, and the entire staff have been such a pleasure to work with on multiple occasions at two of our families homes. Very knowledgeable, efficient, friendly, and accommodating.

Today was a great experience with the technician. He patiently reviewed the work I wanted in installing a home EV charger and broke down all options very thoroughly!

I highly recommend Chesapeake Electric for EV charger outlet installation. A licensed electrician provided a detailed survey and written proposals for upgrading my electrical system and installing a 240 V outlet for my Tesla. Another skilled electrician installed the outlet with a concealed cable, unlike another company’s visible conduit proposal. Both professionals were excellent, and I’m thrilled with the clean, efficient work. 5 stars!

Casey came out to my home and after a few questions we both walked in each room to try and determine my partial outage. After testing the breaker box and outside unit he discovered it was a power strip that was causing my partial outage.
I would like to add that Casey was very knowledgeable, friendly and very courteous. He then proceeded to provide many options for things he saw that will need attention at a later date.
I would definitely consider calling on them in the near future and would highly recommend this company

Professional, polite, and honestly a joy to have around. Our tech was Cristian, and he went WAY above and beyond the call of duty for a house call. He made sure to make me comfortable, explained everything I had even the smallest question about, and showed pictures and showed the appropriate MD code to boot with everything he suggested.
These guys are phenomenal. A little expensive, maybe, but this is the price someone pays to get it done right the first time. Legitimately don't know if I'll go with anyone else, moving forward, even if the price is better, simply because these guys are so good.

Arkadii, was on time and very knowledgeable. He took the time to explain everything. Cleaned up after himself. I would definitely recommend him.

We had Chesapeake come out and take a look at several basic things we needed taken care of in our new home. They offered their suggestions in various “packages” that consisted of repairs / services that were far above what we were asking for. The tech that came out was kind, but clearly a bit of a sales pitch. The prices were very high. I got quotes from other companies (mostly smaller companies with less overhead), and they skipped the sales-pitch and suggested much lower prices.

They probably do good work — that’s fine, and if price isn’t a factor, then give them a call… except one other thing to consider…

Immediately before they came out, our outlets in our kitchen were functioning just fine. Immediately after they left, the outlets were not functioning. I’m no electrical engineer, but it seems to me that during their above and beyond inspection to offer me something I didn’t ask for, they must have knocked something loose, shorted a circuit, etc. (Again, I won’t speculate on the cause, just question the irony of the effect).
I assumed we could give them a call and explain and they would do a quick drive by to ensure nothing accidental occurred. But alas, when we called them, we were told that it is “impossible” that the two events were related. Also, if we wanted them to take a look, it would be $130 diagnostic fee.
That’s poor customer service… especially for a company that clearly has very high margins and could absorb the minimal cost required to validate they didn’t unintentionally cause our issue.

Again, the tech was kind. The follow-up, however was not cool. For that reason, I’d recommend using someone else.

***update: they sent back the tech back out to help us validate that the issue described above was likely not related to the inspection. They did not charge a diagnostic fee, and, again, the tech was super helpful. I think the guy I talked to on the phone may have been a rude outlier. Because of him and the sales-pitchy nature of the first visit, I’m updating to 3 stars.

Chesapeake Electric was great from the beginning when I contacted them to the rep Zac that came to my home for the estimate to Matt and his crew to Zac and Jacob, they did very good job, with replacing lights, wall outlets, installing ceiling fans and recess lights. Just awesome, I plan on using them again and recommending them to my friends and/or family.

I did receive a five star service from Casey. He replaced the outlet that connects to my disposal in the kitchen. He also advised me about modern switches available to keep safe near electricity anywhere near water. In addition, he checked to make sure I have smoke detectors that are not out of date. He did an excellent job of explaining the available outlets. This house was built in 1979. and I have lived in it since 1986. I very my h appreciated Casey's clear information about new outlets, but I'm not ready to have several more installed right now.
I think you have an excellent electrician in your company, and I will certainly recommend Chesapeake Electric to anyone who asks me to suggest a company for some electrical work.

New bathroom fan and outlet work great! The professional electricians did a good job analyzing the situation, advising on the best plans of action, and completed the work on the same day! I wish all companies were this professional. From the moment I called until the work was finished I couldn't have been happier. Ethan Payne was the gentleman that completed the work at my house. He was very professional, respectful of my property, and showed me everything he was doing to do before starting and once the work was completed. He made sure I was 100% satisfied. If I need any more electrical work in the future I wouldn't hesitate to call and will definitely be asking for Ethan!
