On the message system I didn’t even bother to leave a message I can’t just blindly come to the store that’ll be far too expensive I have to know because no one has the plant called a butterworth plant I can’t afford to just waste money going out there?

We get our tree here every year for past 20. The kid even remembered us from last year! Love the dogs and hot cider.

Fantastic shop with plentiful options for all of your gardening needs. I was scouting out options to move away from big box stores and I'm happy to say that this store is my new go to.

It even had baby chicks and a koi pond that really grabbed the attentiin of my little traveling companion.

Probably one of the best koi ponds you ever going to see..
(Yet none of them are for sale, sadly... I give anything to have one of these beauties in my pond)

A really good little garden center, and they really love their koi.. and their koi food? My koi love their food that's all I can say

There Is expertise here for the professional and the amateur alike if one would only ask

All the plants have descriptions and instructions on how much sun and water they need. They also had different types of fish and fish food. The staff were really friendly.
I didn't explore the entire space but was impressed with what I saw.

Double the price of Lowe's and the older women at the register and the mulch pickup are both very short and borderline rude every time Ive been. The other employees are fine but generally not very helpful.

I would love to shop at a local business like this but these two employees have made my experiences not good

    pretty poor customer service

Racist vibes... pulled over because the gate was open and looked at trees (mainly for pricing and with plans of purchasing quite a few for a natural fence line)... I'm reading the placards. Some chick comes out of no where asking me to leave.... so the trees that are never locked up at night can't be looked at? I left and will never return.

Wide selection of herbs, vegetables, and flowers all at good prices (plus a discount for buying in bulk). Good selection of garden decor (statuettes, wind chimes, and pots galore), small selection of soil and fertilizer but it's quality items. Friendly staff, even the bees were chill. Will be buying most of my supplies and garden friends here!

So this place was pretty impressive. They had a lot of plants and vegetables that I didn't see at The home depot or at Lowe's. I was specifically looking for purple perennials at home depot and Lowe's but could never find them. I went here and they had some. Much smaller place but I believe a larger garden then either of those popular department stores. Also they sell a lot of trees that you could plant like peach trees or apple trees which I thought was unique. I went there specifically to look for a red rock for my garden and found it but it was sold out. Way easier to get help there as well. I will go back for some plants and support them since they are local. I wish I took some photos because then you would be able to see they take care of their plants much better than the larger stores and all of the plants look much more healthy. Had a better vibe there as well like they actually care. It doesn't hurt that they have a pet center there as well. Thought that was a nice touch. Ill be back later this week. Most likely the weekend for the rest of what I need.

Nice plants and other garden related stuff. They also have few pond and aquatic plants.
    Not for poor people though:)
More on the expensive side 💸

As long as I've lived in the Parkville area, I've never thought to check out Poor Boy's. However, with my recent garden obsession I decided to pay them a visit to see what they had in stock.

I was blown away with the selection of house plants and all of themat a very good price too. Considering the astronomical price tag that some plants have today. For $9.99, I couldn't leave without buying a new plant. Poor Boys has all of your needs to tend to your plants and garden. From soil and neem oil to planter pots and worm castings. They carried a good selection of annual and perennial plants for your garden as well as a smaller selection of herbs, greens, and lettuce, given the major gardening season is starting to come to an end. They even had different types of fruit trees with fruit already on the limbs. The young guy working in the garden center was really nice and answered the various questions I had. He even helped me bring my items to the car.

If you've got a green thumb and are in need of some new house plants or new items for your garden, then definitely give Poor Boy a visit

I love visiting this place. Not only do they have a wide selection of perennials (my favorite because I'm thrifty), they also have a great pond section. From water plants to fancy equipment, they supply what other places don't even try to. Someone who loves playing in puddles as much as I do works here.
This is a picture of my pond at home, to be clear. In times of drought, it's the clean water supply my local wildlife depends on. It's full of lilies, fish, frogs and dragonflies. And on hot days, people feet 😉

I love Poor Boys! I’ve been coming here for years. They always have a great selection and even better prices. Plus they have a rewards program! Everyone is always friendly and helpful.

Stopped in because I was looking for fig trees. They had multiple types to choose from. Was able to get a pair of nice trees. Also some soil improvement for planting them. For the size of the location they have a lot of varieties from small annuals, vegetables plants, bushes, and trees. Id say the only draw back here is they are not the cheapest place. But hopefully they will be great healthy trees that last years.

I love coming here for plants and flowers for my garden. I can always find exactly what i need. Staff is very helpful. Outside is very big with lots of plants to chose from. Very pretty. I picked up some butterfly bushes and they were buy 5 get 1 free. SCOOOOORE!!! I came home and planted them right away and the butterflies were all over them. It was so cool to just sit on my front porch and see so many butterflies enjoying the bushes i had just planted.

Great neighborhood garden center. Purchased all the perennials for my garden a few years back and still growing beautifully. Had some unique finds as well. Staff is also super friendly and helpful ♥️

Had an infected dying fish in their aquatic plant section. Was denied a discount on the plant and they acted like I was crazy for thinking a discount for that was reasonable. Older women were unpleasant and unhelpful I had to walk over to get her attention when she knew I had a question for her and when I said “excuse me” she got an attitude.

A great spot if you’re looking to upgrade your garden! They have a great selection of lawn care needs, plants for both indoor and outdoors and koi fish!

The prices are not bad either! They don’t have as much selection of indoor plants but the ones they do have are in great condition!

The staff are kind too! The lady who checked me out asked if I found everything I needed.

They are not affiliated with the poor boys in Dundalk, so if you’re asked about their rewards, they are two separate things.
