I’ve used Old Line Chimney many times for various repairs and troubleshooting. I’ve also had them do numerous Chimney Inspections. Fantastic company to work with. Great people and very reliable!

Mike was excellent.
Great service 5 stars! -
I called Clean Sweep to discuss issues regarding the work they did to my chimney one year ago. Two weeks went by with no phone call. Today I called to follow up and my call went to voicemail, but the voicemail box was full! I recommend that you look elsewhere. With something as safety critical as a chimney, you need a company that you can trust. Your life depends on it.

Cullen & his crew were awesome. They replaced several chimney liners, installed rain caps, rebuilt the smoke chamber, and the top of the chimney, & restored our faith in the chimneys at our house. Thanks Clean Sweep!
-
Great service from Ryan! He was persistant and knowledgeable and got an old gas and foam wood burner running again when I'm sure other techs would've just given up.
-

I called Clean Sweep Chimney Service to come out and get an estimate for my chimney. The guys who originally came out were very nice. I believe Cullen was one of the guys that came out. They told me I did not need a liner, and they would provide me with an estimate in two days, a written estimate. Two things had to be done, one was the inside of the fireplace, and then work needed to be done with the Chimney exterior. I was told the estimate will be broken down in 2 areas, one for the interior/exterior (paraphrased) because I was told I could wait until the spring to fix the exterior of the fireplace and they could put a metal brace on it for the time being.
After waiting a few days I sent a message to this FB page, wondering where my estimate was. Perhaps they misspelled my email address or whatnot. I left a message yesterday (after business hours) and Cullen called me back this morning an said he would send over his estimate right away.
Once I received the estimate I was beyond frustrated. I waited almost a full business week for 4 sentences with one estimate. Definitely NOT what we discussed here. Also, the estimate was DOUBLE what we discussed in my home. I'm certain Cullen realized this when I called him back I was clearly frustrated as I said, "I don't even understand what this estimate is, and this is what I spent days waiting for, it was supposed to be broken down". After this Cullen, who is NOT the owner, (because while he was in my home and I asked, he said he is not, but he is the one who will make decisions when the owner is away and if something happens to him, he will take over) told me, he didn't like my attitude and find someone else! Why? Because you knew right off the bat I was going to be upset, because you were trashing the other estimate I got? Saying they were ripping me off, meanwhile you came back more expensive?
So, not only have they lost a potential customer from the lack of explaining, he was rude, because I questioned what we discussed in my home? How did it double. . . Cullen, the truth is, if you were that adequate and able to run a business, you would be working for yourself, NOT for someone else. You will NEVER succeed with your poor attitude. Rule #1 of customer service, the customer is always right even when they are not. I was not screaming or cursing, but the truth is, once you saw that estimate you knew you messed up, because you told me no more than $2000 for outside, and no more than $1000 for the interior, then you sent me a quote for double!! Even this morning when I was nice as pie when you called to send over the estimate I sensed your aggravation. I'm sure you were, considering the estimate was DOUBLE!!!
Perhaps you should know your roll as an employee and not quote customers because it is obvious you're not proficient in the side pertaining to estimates.
I will make sure everyone knows the experience I had, and Cullen, keep your mask on while you're in someones house. As you clearly were sitting on my hearth without a mask and coughed, as I said OMG, and you said it is not Corona, I smoke. I let that go because you and the other guy were nice. . . but. . . well, here we are.
Stay far away and find a Chimney company that actually cares about their customers. After they were telling me they've been so slow due to the pandemic, obviously not that slow to be rude and reject customers who question them when they come back with a double estimate. I will use someone else. .
As someone who has been self employed for many years, I would NEVER speak to a customer like this. He should have apologized for quoting me and took the time to explain how the estimate doubled. Again, use someone else. You've been warned. -
I posted a request for an appointment online and within less than a minute was contacted by phone. Your representative was very rude, impatient and unclear as to what was expected from me in the initial call so I started to explain what I needed. I am not a chimney expert so of course my explanation was not very clear as I certainly did not use correct chimney terminology. He became very annoyed , abruptly interrupted me, and said he was very clear from the beginning that he was calling to simply set up a site visit. I told his intention was not clear so he then told me to call someone else. Not because of the work requirement. He obviously did not want to be bothered and I guess our call of about a minute was a waste of his time. I've successfully dealt with lots of contractors who understand that we expect them to be experts. Never encountered someone so unaware of the importance of at least a modicum of professionalism or customer service. It starts with the initial contact. 5 star ratings and fancy web sites can be deceiving!
