I had Case do some work for me a couple years ago. They were expensive, but got the initial job done. I had them run a dryer vent from the inside of my house to the outside. That part went OK. My AC maintenance guy had to come out about a year later because the heat pump motor burned up. When he opened the casing it was completely loaded with dryer lint. Case had vented the dryer right in front of my heat pump so all the lint was blowing straight into it. My AC guy told me that helped shorten the life of my unit. I was getting a bid on some other work and I told Tom Dodd what had happened. He agreed they would come and make that adjustment. I didn't ask them to pay for my AC motor. Just to redirect the vent away from the unit. I would think a very easy fix. Their bid for the new work was almost 3x's the other bids, so did not get the job.
I have sent 4 emails to Case over the last month asking them to make this simple change that they had already agreed to do. My new heat pump already is filling up with the same lint. Obviously whoever decided to vent the unit directly onto a heat pump did not think through the consequences. All I asked numerous times (and they agreed when there was other business on the line) was a simple adjustment.
When a service business doesn't return phone calls when there is a really small problem with their work I don't think that's someone you want to do business with. What will they do when there is a big problem?
I sent another email yesterday morning telling my contact if I did not hear back from them I would start letting others know they don't keep their word and ignore you when there is a problem. I have not heard back. Obviously they don't really care what their customers say about them either. Take your business elsewhere. They do not take care of their problems, even after committing to do so. -
Great job by Case Design and Remodeling. Specifically, I had to do a plumbing job and their plumber, Dan Stewart, was very professional. On time for appointments, very quick and great at resolving even complicated plumbing issues. He was very proactive in thinking about ways to save the customers' money. Highly recommend him personally, and the company in general.

Case did a top-notch jobs from the design/discussion phase down to the finishing touches. Matt Dirksen patiently went through the designs to find the right solution for us, and then turned the job over to the very competent construction team. There will always be a few hiccups in a major project but Case was able to help us resolve these issues. So overall a very professional outfit, with lots of choices, and good subcontractor relationships.

We used case for a complete kitchen remodel. They worked with us through several iterations of the design until our vision was realized and we were happy. Executing the work was done well.

We inherited a home built in the 1960s and was in need of updating. We spoke with the Case design team 2 years ago to do the main level of the house which contains the kitchen, living room, and dining room. The house was dark and closed in, we wanted it more open. Working with TJ, Melissa, Tom, and Bill we got the kitchen of our dreams.
So, when we decided to update the lower level, we again called Case as we knew the professionalism and care they put into their work. We learned that TJ was no longer with them, so they put us in touch with John. So along with John, Melissa, Tom, and Bill we have just completed renovation on the family room, mud room, and laundry area, along with a hallway of cabinetry.
The Case team we continue to work with are like family, they all checked in throughout the projects, wanting to make sure that there were no issues.
In a couple years we will definitely be calling on them again as it will be time to do our master bedroom and master bath. Thank you Case for your exemplary employees of TJ, John, Melissa, Tom, and Bill. -
My 1920's townhouse has been in a nearly constant state of renovation and repair since I purchased it 7 years ago. I have worked with the professionals and craftsmen at Case Design on two major renovations and a handful of smaller jobs. In addition to producing award-winning designs and high quality work, the people at Case were also of the highest integrity, reliability and responsiveness. Both the process and the result of my renovation projects with Case were wholly satisfying.

Case Design redid our kitchen and did a fabulous job--it involved enclosing an old backporch; enlarging our dining room; turning the old kitchen into a pantry; and adding a half bath. Matt Dirksen was the designer, who was tremendously patient and helpful. We could not be more pleased with how everything turned out. The new kitchen is gorgeous and the entire first floor has been reworked and is much more functional. Moreover, Case stands by their work; they have always addressed any concerns we have and worked with us on follow-up projects. We highly recommend them.

We were so pleased with the job that Dave Vogt, Kwasi Hemeng, Neil Martin, and Pat Fagan did on our home addition. Over only four months, the CASE team built an absolutely gorgeous, windowed family room and powder room first-floor addition with a spacious, light-filled basement bedroom underneath. Although not the least expensive option out there, we were glad we chose CASE for the quality of the design and construction, as well as the customer service experience we received. Throughout the duration of our project we received thoughtful, timely written and in-person updates. As issues arose (and, really, only minor issues came up), they were dealt with quickly, professionally, and within budget. We felt comfortable with all team members that were onsite, and were able to live through a major renovation with relatively minimal disruption to our everyday lives. The project wrapped up ahead of time, on budget, and better than we expected - what else can we ask for? We highly recommend CASE and would certainly go back to them for any future projects that come up.

Case has come to my house 45 times over the past 21 years. They are terrific. They're responsible, tidy, respectful and skilled. Each day at the end of the work time they leave the area spotless, which I greatly appreciate since I have a curious cat. I've used them to build two bathrooms and re model my kitchen, plus dozens of cosmetic jobs, everything from adding built in bookshelves, to trim, to painting, you name it. Two weeks ago I discovered a leak in my basement and Case was out the next day. They located the problem quickly, and the following day sent a master plumber to replace the cracked pipe.
That's real service!!! -
I recently had some plumbing work done by a craftsman from Case Design Fred Remodeling. I could not be happier. Everyone from the office personnel to the craftsman that came to my house were professional, courteous. Both are extremely rare to find today. I consulted with the craftsman before hand on what was to be done and took his suggestion on what to buy. An all around positive experience.

I own an electrical company and we have done work with Case Design for 20 years. Dave Vogt and the whole team at Case Design do a great job developing a design and the completion of construction to keep the project on schedule. They pay great attention to the needs of the homeowners.

Case Design did an excellent job in designing and building a master bedroom/bathroom, walk-in closet and laundry room over an existing one story addition. From the outside, their addition seamlessly blends in with the rest of our house and is just beautiful. Dave Vogt and Kwasi Hemeng designed a lovely space inside as well, with a lot of natural light and well-thought out spaces. They listened to what we had to say, made excellent suggestions and were very responsive during the construction to any concerns/questions that we had.
Our project manager, Neil Martin was also wonderful. He took the time to explain the technical details of the project, and the scheduling, so we knew who would be at our house and when. All the workmen were very professional, and everyone made an effort to keep the dust and dirt out of the rest of our house.
our project was originally scheduled to be done by mid-January; however, Neil was able to have everything done by the week before Christmas. What a gift that was!!
We have been living in our new space for several months now, and are thrilled with it. Our only regret is that we didn't do it sooner.
Thank you, Case, for making this dream come true. -
I've used case before at my previous home. It was a large Reno (over 150K). I've had a few people tell me that Case is different now. But, since I've used them before I went ahead and reached out to them. They came out to do a site visit for another large project at my new home. The guy remembered me so I thought, this is great. After that I never heard from him and tried to reach out and nothing. Pretty disappointing. I ultimately found a new contractor and so far so good.

Thank you again for everything, working with you, and the Case team, has truly been a great experience. We are thrilled with the craftsmanship of the work and the manner in which our home, and our dog, was treated during the whole project. Including the contract and payment process - from the services and work being delivered as promised, to the credit we received for the overestimate. I look forward to working with you, and Case Design, again in the future!

My dated, uninspired, dirty-looking kitchen/entryway/dining room/powder room has been transformed into a welcoming, contemporary, zen-like place of beauty. Sure, I envisioned it, but it was Adrian, Colleen, Shawn, and the other folks at Case Design who made it happen.
Living in a 9th-floor condominium with limited parking/loading and elevator access, and a confined indoor space in which to work, made it a challenge to completely tear down, clear out, and rebuild. Shawn made it look (almost) easy. In addition, I've had
a yoga wall built, bookshelves installed, and a few other tricky maneuvers that Adrian creatively (and patiently) resolved for me.
Their attention to detail, their clarity and promptness in communicating, their good humor, and their quality workmanship are exemplary. They also offer their friendly, informative, and oh-so-supportive presence at every stage of what can be an extremely stressful process.
A point of comparison: After finally deciding on my backsplash tile, I decided to save a few dollars and allow an employee from the tile store to install it. I had to have the installer come back three times (yes, three times) to correct silly/sloppy mistakes and simply clean up his mess. I feel silly myself for not having Case do it in the first place. Live and learn. I will definitely be calling Case in the future when I’m ready to do more work on my home. -
Case Design/Remodeling is an exceptional company. After successfully completing several minor projects for us over the years, my wife and I contracted with them to do a full remodel of our kitchen and to construct an adjacent addition to our house. Our project team was superb. Our architect TJ was a perfect collaborator who created an elegant and inspired design. Our project manager Kevin kept us up-to-date on all details and was always available to solve any issues that arose. John, who did the bulk of the onsite work, was excellent, personable, and diligent. Senior designer Adrian gave us honest, expert guidance from project inception to completion. Our remodel was done on time, on budget, and turned out better than we’d envisioned. We will use Case for any future home projects.

I have had two spaces remodeled by Case, one a Master Bathroom , in which the space was completely reconfigured, and three years later, after purchasing a condo in a nearby Senior Living residence.Dave and his excellent team were able to plan spaces in both places that actually were better than I had imagined. The condo was a complete renovation, and with tile and cabinet selections in-store, with professional guidance, my job of making selections was simplified. The team kept me in the loop by having once-a -week meetings at the space, which, by the time I moved in, made it feel like my home.

Many people are all too willing to share their construction horror stories. It's (almost) enough to make you decide to live with tired and dated bathrooms. Well this is a different story. It's a love story that involves a master bath in need of a full gut reno, two other bathrooms in need of updates, and a fabulous company, Case Design/Remodeling, Inc.
We loved our experience working with Case Design/Remodeling, Inc. Our story started at a kitchen and bath remodeling seminar at their offices in Bethesda. Designers Adrian Andreassi and Samantha Klickna opened our eyes to the possibilities. When they talked about the Case process and the 5 year warranty, we really got interested. We value a company that stands behind its work. Adrian and Samantha came to our home, got ideas about what we liked and what we didn't. When we met again at the Case showroom, they offered suggestions, gave us choices of materials and products, and really listened to what we had to say. They took our ideas and made them better...much, much better!
Before construction we had a meeting with the design team, the project manager and a few key team members to ensure that everyone was on the same page. All surfaces were protected before work even began. The craftsmen were outstanding: skilled, polite and professional. And oh, were they tidy! They minimized dust, vacuumed up after themselves and cleaned up at every stage. They made everything seem not just doable, but almost effortless. Standouts included Project Manager, Stefan Eising, who deftly managed all of the craftsmen to maximize efficiency and responded quickly to every concern, Drew Davis, a skilled head carpenter and all-around miracle worker, whose calm manner and no-problem attitude made anything seem possible, Selvin, a truly gifted master of finish work who made everything he touched look better than new, and Samuel, a whiz with tile who offered suggestions and precision.
It might seem strange to write a thank you note to the crew that worked on your house, but we were moved to do just that. I wrote: "We want to thank everyone who worked on our house. This was a wonderful experience with a great outcome! I am a worrier by nature, but at every opportunity my worries were allayed. Thank you to everyone who took the time to teach us more about our house and explain how things work. We are delighted with all the changes!"
We love everything that was done. Using our master bath feels like visiting a luxury hotel. The changes to the other baths have given them a fresh new start. We couldn't be happier with Case and recommend them without reservation or hesitation. -
I engaged case for the first an only time several years ago for an expansion of my kitchen. We planned everything well in Advance and case completed the work generally on time. This was refreshing after my experience with many other contractors over the years. However my conclusion is beyond completing the work on time they are not worth the money because their follow up is actually terrible. We noticed numerous small items like poorly hung cabinet doors. Asking them to come by and fix something is useless since they either deny or deflect. I got over most of these minor nuisances over the years by having my handyman fix much of their work. However it regularly also rains in my kitchen now and I also have to redo the roof. If I have to redo all of these items that they installed then why pay a premium for their service. I wouldn’t recommend them.

My home project which was creating an additional room in my home was done exceptionally well. My Project Manager was Brian. He was very professional and accessible. He made my vision a reality when my husband doubted it and now loves it.
The construction team and Buck the Electrician were very knowledgeable and experts at their tasks. I wouldn't use any other company for home renovations. Their smart. Everyone was on time, clean, thorough, licensed, insured, trusting and professional.
I am known to be very picky and at times indecisive because I am a perfectionist. CASE/Fred met all of my expectations and I had a great first time renovation experience. -
Case remodeled our powder room this spring and we are thrilled with their work. Kelly was attentive from the beginning, outlining the project and explaining the timeline, which was followed perfectly. Kay helped with design, Loren with supervision, and Bill Shaw was fabulous with installation. Bill was a joy to work with, a master craftsman, clear in explaining our options, always checking to see that we were satisfied and a delight to have in our home.
We liked Case’s team concept; each member of the team was available if needed.
