I was very impressed with JF Plumbing from beginning to end. I took a chance on them based on so many favorable reviews and in hindsight I am so happy I did. I had what I thought was a problem with my water heater and a very nice person doing the scheduling was able to get me an appointment within a couple of days. Mike arrived promptly on time at 8am and immediately diagnosed the problem which was not my water heater but a less expensive problem with a pipe on my boiler. He was honest and knowledgeable and gave me some tips on how to keep both clean and maintained. I appreciate he didn’t talk down to me even though I told him from the beginning I knew next to nothing about plumbing. I am so happy to now have a plumbing company I can trust and refer to friends and family.

Had a great experience with JF plumbing. They were easy and responsive when I called them and Joey, the plumber who came to my house, did a great job resolving the issue and walking me through what was going on with my pipes. Highly recommended!

The people of JF Plumbing did a great job on repairing my main water line. The job turned out to be worse than expected and they made corrections to help avoid future issues. The manager in the office, Matt, and the crew kept me informed and answered all my questions. The crew making the repairs were so nice and very respectful. If you need plumbing repairs done, I would highly recommend calling them.

Gene came out from J F Plumbing and was extremely knowledgeable about what could be causing our plumbing issue and gave us options for addressing it. Luckily the first and cheapest option did solve the problem! Price was fair and we got some good maintenance tips as well. We also appreciated that Gene was friendly and very courteous, taking his shoes off before walking on our white carpet, without being asked. We would use J F Plumbing again in the future.

JF just completed a bathroom installation at my home and I couldn't be more pleased. There were a lot of design and logistical challenges to overcome during the process; Jose, Derek, and Joey were on the crew that tended to all of this effectively (and couldn't have been nicer people in addition to their workmanship.) Melanie on the office side is super-responsive and efficient, too! Great communication.

Gene diagnosed as problem with our kitchen faucet. Due to its age the fixture was not repairable. He then installed a new faucet, added appropriate shut-off valves and re-plumbed the sink drains. Excellent workmanship done efficiently and at a reasonable cost. It was a pleasure working with Gene. I highly recommend him. Also, I’ve used JF Plumbing for years and will continue to do so.

Good people are good people. I had a huge tree branch (really a mid-sized tree) fall on my porch, and two employees of JF Plumbing happened to be driving by. They immediately pulled over and ran to help. One climbed a ladder and cut the rest of the branch with his own sawzall as I pulled it away from my house. Again, good people are good people!

JF plumbing and heating came highly recommended from a friend and our first experience with them was great. Our plumber was knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and I felt I could trust him that he wasn’t ripping us off or suggesting we do unnecessary work. We’ll be using them for all our plumbing needs going forward.

I rarely write reviews but feel compelled to recommend JF Plumbing & Heating. We recently had a major drainage problem with our aged residential sanitary line that another company was unable to fully diagnose/resolve. I called JF and they efficiently video-scoped and hydro-jetted the line. No issues since then, so it appears the problem is solved. From start to finish, JF was communicative, timely, diligent, and professional. I suspect the work took them a bit more effort than they anticipated, but they went the extra mile to get the job done. If I could rate them 6 stars or higher I'd do it, based on my experience with the level of service they provided.

Patrick was amazing — very helpful and professional. He was neat with his work and made sure to clean up everything before he left. He double-checked the garbage disposal to ensure there were no leaks after installation and confirmed all the connections from the dishwasher and sink were secure. I really appreciated his attention to detail. Highly recommended!

The service was completed two days ago, so I won’t assess its quality until a week or two later. My dissatisfaction lies mainly with the management, from the initial phone responder to the plumber’s supervisor. Upon calling, I explained the recurring issue of toilets clogging despite a prior plumber’s visit. Both toilets, in the hallway and master bath, experienced the problem. I contacted JF solely for their longer snake, beyond 6 feet. Initially, the phone responder quoted $300 for snaking both toilets, or $400 with toilet removal. However, the plumber, upon arrival, insisted on pulling out the toilets. When the manager call to confirm the work it raised the price to $450 per toilet. The manager pressured me to decide immediately, disregarding the initial quote. After disputing the price, he said he would have honored the $300 had I hadn’t questioned him for so long. So he actually could honor the initial quote but he just refused to do so? this is not an honest business practice and I was VERY DISSAPPOINTED.

Technician Will came out, identified the problem, and solved it. His knowledge and expertise helped relieve our concerns and got us back up and running. It was a 5-star experience.

I want to start by saying the technician who came to my home was professional and genuinely tried to help. I contacted JF about a water leak and was told they could fix it. I made it clear that I needed same-day service or I’d seek another option. I explained the issue over the phone, but the technician arrived, confirmed what I had already identified, stayed for about five minutes, and said he couldn’t fix it. I was charged $79 for that brief visit, and two days later, I still haven’t received a quote or follow-up. I don’t blame the technician—I blame the corporate office for mishandling the request. Unfortunately, this experience has made it clear that JF isn’t reliable to solve my urgent plumbing issues.

Avoid JF Plumbing – Unprofessional, Overpriced, and Disrespectful
I had a terrible experience with JF Plumbing. My downstairs neighbor had a leak and called our HOA, who sent JF Plumbing. The plumber who showed up was extremely rude from the start dismissive, uncommunicative, and clearly uninterested in working with the condo residents to locate the source of the issue. He made no real effort to diagnose the problem and left behind a mess including his own ladder, which sat here for days.
What made this worse was receiving a bill two weeks later for $695 for so-called “diagnostics.” To be clear, it cost about the same amount to actually fix the leak using a different company whose plumbers were professional, respectful, and thorough.
When I called JF to ask about the charge, I was first told by the receptionist they bill double on weekends (their base fee is $89, so apparently $180/hour). Talking to Bill the manager he said its actually $250 and they even charged for trash bags (I didn’t know one black trash bag costs 100s these days). He also claimed that they fixed the issue. Later, I was told the visit was categorized as an “emergency” rather than diagnostics despite the fact that no real service emergency or otherwise was provided.
The most disappointing part? When the other plumbers came in, they were shocked at the damage and disarray the JF plumber caused. Instead of locating the source methodically, he just started hammering into walls unnecessarily. It was reckless and lazy.
I’ll be honest I got angry on the phone and said some things I’ll answer to my God for. But my anger doesn’t negate the facts. This was a horrible experience, and I do not recommend this company to anyone, especially not if you are melanated. Stay FAAAR away.
JF Plumbing showed a lack of professionalism, transparency, and basic respect. Save your time, your money, and your dignity call someone else.
