Easy to book to come and take a look and advise what was needed.
We went with their plan, trimmimg, treating and feeding....and are so very happy with the care and attitude of all their teams. As the seasons change there will be some ongoing treatments.

Everyone we have come in contact with at Bartlett are knowledgeable and personable. They really know trees and shrubs and appreciate their customers' concerns about them. They always have time for a chat. If you come out and talk to them , you will learn alot!

I can't speak to the quality of work because I can't get any response from the company. I scheduled an appointment for someone to come to my property for an estimate to prune and shape several trees. The estimator came, I explained what I wanted, he made some suggestions and then said he would reply in a couple of days via email. Everything going well so far. After a week with no response, I called Bartlett and the receptionist promised to call the estimator and have him contact me. After another week with no response, I called again and was given the same treatment. Two more days have passed without a response. I understand that everybody is busy now but to treat a potential customer with such contempt is inexcusable. I get it, you don' t need my business but if you would have stated that from the outset, it would saved me some time and effort. At this point, I don't know who I am going to hire to do the work but there is one company that won't receive any consideration - now and in the future.

My wife and I have spent a lot of time and money on our landscape. This includes quite a few specimen trees- such as Chinese Fringe, Alaska Weeping Cedars, River Birch, Serviceberry Kousa Dogwood, among others.

I thought I started to notice that a few of our trees were not as healthy as they perhaps could be. I wanted to protect the beauty and investent we had made over the course of 12 or so years. I reached out to Bartlett to send out an arborist to examine my property and make suggestions.

Here are the issues I had with two years of service from Bartlett, which included pruning but more importantly preventative treatments for our trees. I will not into to deatl, but here are the two general issues I had.

1. I was the one, after service started, to notice problems with some of our trees. I am not an arborist, but what am I paying Bartlett a good deal of money for? They should be the ones to recognize issue and suggest treatments, not the other way around.

2. I repeatedly requested from the beginning, and over the course of two years, that Bartlett inform me of the schedule for the various treatments as I wanted to be at my house to see what was applied, where and when. They NEVER kept their word and let me know.

Really a shame as I thought Bartlett had a great reputation and I had high hopes. They may be fine at removing trees, but given my personal experience at preventive maintenance with Bartlett, I cannot recommend them to anyone in Harford County, MD.

We've used Bartlett services for many years, and have been more than happy with them. This week, we returned from vacation to find huge branches had come down in a storm, right onto our driveway. I called Bartlett about 3 PM on Thursday, and they arrived about 8 AM the next day. Victor and Chase cleared out all the debris in about 3 hours. They took great care to avoid further damage to a picket fence next to the driveway, that the branches crashed into. Top notch company.

The Bartlett people are quality people who do a quality job. In the past year+, they trimmed our 2 live oaks, taken out a dead Cypress, removed a broken limb and cleaned up some freeze damage. They may cost a little more than other guys, but they know what they are doing and do it well.

John Davis has been extremely helpful in addressing my concerns re; a holly tree (2022) and redbud tree (2024) and was accurate in his diagnosis in both instances. He shared my concerns about not disturbing an active mockingbird nest in the holly tree and was respectful of my concerns about treatment options that would not negatively affect bees and other beneficial insects. A great guy to work with.

My time with Bartlett had its pumps, but these days, I really don’t expect much in the world of contracting to be without hiccups.

The staff is beyond kind and despite the hiccups, this company did everything in its power to make certain I was happy with the job.

I don’t need a company or person to be “perfect”, but I do need them to be willing to make the job happen and to be able to manage things as they come. Bartlett did the job well and took great care to meet me in my wants.

Their arborist Greg was lovely and really gave my project personal time and attention. 10/10… recommend. Just know that a good job requires everyone to communicate.

Bartlett Tree Experts were priced right and were able to help me with everything from an arborist report, to tree removal and stump grinding. They did an excellent job and left my lawn spotless! I would definitely work with them again!

I had Bartlett Tree Service scheduled to spray for bag worms this spring, based on a visit from their very knowledgeable arborist last fall. They have an excellent reputation and many of my neighbors use them. This morning I noticed a limb from a huge maple starting to separate from the base due to 40 mile an hour wind gusts. The rest of the limbs were wired together, but not this one. Within 15 minutes Bartlett sent Pat over to conduct an inspection. Two hours later there was a crew here cabling up the limb, so I didn’t lose it and destroy the shade on my deck. I cannot praise them enough for their professionalism and care.

Excellent evaluation of large trees and pruning work to balance the trees and eliminate dead wood and ensure they did not threaten the house.

Had them come out to take care of some eunonymous scale on bushes. They did two treatments that did absolutely nothing to the shrubs. The shrubs looked like they were dying when we started treatment. Before treatment, I asked them if their was hope for the bushes, they said yes, which according to another company that I had come out, said they had no hope for survival. We feel like Bartlett was just trying to get money from us knowing the bushes were going to die anyway. Do not plan to use them again.

They are the ultimate professionals from the call to understanding the problem and better yet fixing it.
We have never lost a bush or tree thanks to Bartlett.

We were very happy with the work Bartlett did in our yard. They came when they said, did a great job of trimming what was requested and cleaned up nicely.

This is my second experience with Bartlett and I was again very pleased. They are efficient, skilled at what they do, and competitive price-wise in the arena of tree work.

Bartlett Tree Service is outstanding. The crew who did our work was amazing and when the job was done there wasn’t even a leaf on our lawn or our neighbors lawn.

They had the right equipment and tools for the job and took great care to prevent damage to our lawn and ornamentals. We had extensive tree work done that took 3 days to complete and we’re very pleased with the results. I highly recommend them!

Very unprofessional company. Reached out to get an estimate, they sent a representative to the house who looked at the trees and left a business card. Waited for a call or an estimate, never received either. Called the person on the card and the office, had to leave messages and never received a call back. Shameful that a company would waste time and effort to initially respond to a prospective customer and then never follow through. Waste of my time as well. Went with another company that was respectful enough to respond, discuss what needed to be done, provide an estimate and complete the job.
