Reviews of local pros in Finksburg, Maryland

After noticing my four Norway Spruces were looking a bit unhealthy, I reached out to Bartlett Tree Experts and am glad I did. Christopher Stephan came out to take a look and I was impressed from the start — he didn't just give me a quick once-over. He conducted a real assessment of the trees, explained what he was seeing (needlecast fungal disease), and followed up with a detailed written proposal laying out a full course of treatment.

The proposal itself was more thorough than I expected — it included the specific products, the application schedule across multiple treatment windows, and clear arborist notes explaining the reasoning. No guesswork, no vague promises.

Bartlett completed the first treatment on schedule. Still early in the process — needlecast recovery takes time and multiple seasons — but I feel confident the trees are in good hands. Chris has been easy to reach and straightforward throughout. Happy to recommend them.

Great company to work with. Very knowledgeable and professional.

Several trees were damaged by the late frost. Bartlett treated them soon after my request. My red Japanese Maple looked the worse. After treatment, it looks great! Back to its usual lovely self. Bartlett is the best. The company is very responsive. I highly recommend it!

Great knowledgeable

Outstanding crew and arborists.

Very professional.

Never received a total proposal on the work I wanted done.

They are very good and we trust them completely.

Technician fertilized tree roots. He was courteous, competent, and thorough.

Just started with Bartlett, right now they are monitoring treatment of insects and diseases.

I have to admit that they exceeded my expectations

So happy with Bartlett they were so reasonable and did a fabulous job! I will be recommending them to everyone!

Had an estimate appointment scheduled for noon. They call and cancel 15 minutes before they are supposed to arrive. Won't use a company who shows zero respect for my time.

Courteous, prompt and thorough. I was so pleased , we have called them back for additional work. Fair pricing, and just really good work.

They do a wonderful job with my trees and shrubs. I have used their services for a number of years, and they are very experienced and dependable.

The chief Arborist at Bartlett (Graham Becker) is a pleasure to work with. This company really cares about the trees.

Excellent company to work with for tree removal and pruning. The staff are very thorough and cleaning up was remarkable. I would definitely be using them again.

Bartlett Tree Experts were professional and great to work with. I will use them for all future tree needs that I have and would recommend them to anyone.

Was not happy with these people at all, they very not honest, charging extra fee’s a was very rude. They get NO stars from me would not recommend (price gouging)

They were very quick in removing a dead tree from our property. When I returned home I realized that not only did they remove the tree but they also took a brush pile I have been trying to get to the dump. Definitely above and beyond! Everyone there is helpful and knowledgeable.

Gregory Schmidt came to my home to assess our flowering cherry trees. The leaves were dying, falling off and had holes all over them. Gregory came up with a plan and this season they are beautiful! Our trees look 100% more healthy this season. Thank you Gregory!
