Everyone at ChimneyTek was great when we needed masonry repair to our chimney and a new gas insert fireplace. They came out promptly to give us an estimate. Wayne was very knowledgeable and worked with us on a reasonable estimate to complete all the repairs to restore the brick chimney to like new condition. Debbie was so pleasant to deal with for the contract and financing portion. The guys that did most of the work, Mayron and Selvin, were courteous and professional. They maintained good communication throughout the job and did beautiful work. They cut out cracked bricks, repaired deteriorated mortar joints, rebuilt the chimney flue and crown, waterproofed the whole chimney, installed a new black powder coated stainless chimney cap, relined the chimney, and installed a new gas insert. Daniel and Raymond installed the final cap and did a terrific job. It looks very sharp. Great work and great people.

Wayne stopped by and provided some much needed information about our fireplace. He will be providing a quote to switch out our log fireplace to gas. He was very honest on the cost, shouldn’t be any surprises if and decide to make the jump to gas!

I have finally saved up enough money in this economy to get the vent repairs and chimney liner installed.

Darby and Kato arrived early today and worked diligently to remove the DIY mess left behind by the previous owner and repair the damage before the weather became cold.

Both technicians were very courteous and professional. They were a pleasure to talk to and helped me understand what was the problem with the system that was previously in place.

Finding a vegetable can sealing a pipe was something technicians and I were ready for.

It was awesome to work with ChinneyTek. It was more pricey than I had originally planned, but they were able to help me with a little bit of discount.

Technicians were on time, courteous, and gave recommendations as I had my chimney cleaned and inspected. They went over the details and I learned about the root of the problem, but this cannot be fixed without significant investment so I am trying to save up for it and contact ChinneyTek in the future to get the repair done right.

They also have the nicest ladies and gentlemen who value and respect customers who actually called to see how things went with the customer instead of sending generic emails after the job was done to see how things went with the work order.

We requested ChimneyTek to come out and inspect our chimney. We got a full report from them and subsequently asked them to redo the outside of the chimney, install a vent cap and clean the outside. Very happy with the results - the chimney looks as good as new!

Very accommodating and explained in detailed the work that was required. Upon accepting the proposal, the technician was onsite and completed the work in a timely manner. I wouldn’t hesitate to call again if future services are needed.

Two techs inspected our gas fireplace 4 weeks ago. The cost was $300.They checked the unit and no repairs were needed. Then they sent a report that made no sense. When we asked for clarification it took 10 days for them to tell us that our email went to SPAM. Not sure how they eventually found it, but we were told somebody would call us the following day to answer our questions. That was eight days ago. Still waiting. I do not recommend them if you have genuine concerns about the safety or functioning of your gas fireplace. And of course, the cost was very high for the amount of work they did

This company came out and tried to convince me my chimneys needed to be condemned, I wanted both chimneys cleaned and was told the $400 to inspect both chimneys would go towards the cleaning. The sales rep who came out tried to convince me that neither chimney was able to be cleaned. They did not run a camera or inspect the interiors of either liners or chimneys. They did a visual inspection of the outside of the chimneys, no ladders. So to claim the chimney liners are bad without running a camera or looking at either of them is baffling. Matter of fact they tried to tell me the fireplace size upstairs would be “catastrophic” to have a fire in and that it would definitely have smoke roll out.

So I was charged the $400 fee, they refused to do any cleaning without truly inspecting anything and quoted me over $20,000 to install and completely rebuild both fire places.

Obviously any company worth their salt quoting 20k in repairs for “condemned” fireplaces should be able to provide photo evidence of the inside of my chimney liners, from either the roof or inside, neither of these were done. The “technician” if you can call him that didn’t even lean inside of the upstairs firebox to visually inspect the damper, flue, or liner.

After being swindled out of my $400 I called another company who came, inspected the chimney with a camera, provided pictures disproving all of ChimneyTeks claims and cleaned and serviced both chimneys for exceptionally less money.

If you have 20K to drop on their sales pitch I’m sure they do good work ripping out functional chimneys and installing new ones but I would be wary, their “technicians” are more like sales people.

I had Chimney tech tear down a brick wall to expose the existing fireplace, remove the old one, and install a gas fireplace. They did an amazing job and I am thrilled to turn it on every night during this cold winter. Each and every fella that worked on it were respectful and friendly. Highly recommend chimney tech.

Decided to try Chimney Tek to clean out my chimney. Wayne and Mike were very efficient and friendly. They shared their thoughts about my wood stove insert and it's condition. They took pictures and and shared how things looked.

I shopped around and found Chimney Tek to be comparable in price with other companies in the county. I will be using them again for sure.

Tried to charge me $14,000 for work that didn’t need to be done. Wanted to remove from the top of my chimney to where it meets the roof line due to cracking that could be repaired. They were just out to make money off of me.

Vince and his team were great! They inspected our gas fireplace and cleaned everything to ensure it was working properly and safe after buying our home. They were friendly and efficient and we’ll use them for regular cleaning and any issues that pop up in the future.

John and Brian were prompt and thoughtful. They asked us if they could move our Christmas chimney decorations so they wouldn’t be damaged during their cleaning. They gave excellent advice on chimney maintenance and answered questions about upgrading our fireplace to gas. Nice guys, a great experience overall.

Jon and Cato were a pleasure to work with. Very personable and honest about what needed to be done to our chimneys and what could wait. They gave a reasonable quote and we scheduled the work to be done in a timely manner. I will update my review once the work is complete.

I installed my fireplace and employed ChimneyTek to install the exhaust vent. They not only did an excellent job cutting through the wall , they also checked all of the space requirements in my installation.
Yes I would hire them again and recommend them.

I'll preface my comments by stating that the only time I take the time to write reviews is when I have an exceptionally excellent or poor experience. In the case of ChimeyTek... it was EXCELLENT.
We needed chimney repairs (stones had fallen off the chimney exposing the frame) and the first company that came out told us the job was beyond the scope of their capability. The second company flew a drone to take photos and a week later told us the same thing (job was out of their scope of capability). We have a steep pitched roof so I believe that was the issue with the first two companies not being able to complete the repairs. The third company informed us that our only option was a complete rebuild of the chimney which I thought was odd based on the damage. Getting these estimates took well over a month between scheduling and waiting for estimates. We were then referred to ChimneyTek by the roofing company we were using to replace our roof (after chimney repairs). ChimneyTek inspected the chimney and said they could do the repairs. The repair team was incredibly friendly and kept us updated throughout the entire process sharing many photos of the chimney damage and repairs as they were in progress. They replaced the flashing, did masonry work and repaired stucco damage. Their craftsmanship was second to none.
I HIGHLY recommend ChimeyTek and will gladly use them again if the need arises without shopping estimates. They are honest, their office staff and repair teams are incredibly friendly and their work is fairly priced (our repairs cost less than half of a full chimney rebuild). I don't think there is a job that they can't handle so don't waste too much time before calling ChimneyTek.
